:( Sorry to hear that.

With my Asthma, I really do believe on the very hot days, my AC is what helps me breath easier.

Ok, I am a litle slow in checking this out, but I saw a lady at Animal Kingdom while we were there the other week, and her shirt said Kate on the back in Minnie ears, and the front said something about "watch out we are taking over the World" Immediately I wondered if it was THE Kate. Today, two weeks later I finally checked Kate's designs, and they were definetely hers. So Kate, was that you at Animal Kindgom, near Expedition Everest on the 19th around 10AM?
Did she look like this?

Yes, that was, as you call her, THE Kate. You should have come up and said hello to us. We were totally up for meeting other DISers!!

Hi, all.

Kate - If I remember correctly, you see your doctor today about your knee. I hope it is good news. Let us know.

Vicki - I am so jealous that PM has a nicer car than I do. He doesn't even have to pay for gas!

Amy, Denise & Paula - thanks for the 'fly by' postings. When lift settles down, pop in for awhile.

:wave2: ,:wizard:, :cheer2:, :grouphug:, and :shamrock: to everyone else!

Good morning, all! I don't have much to report this morning. It looks like another hot day here and then a sudden dip in temperature is coming our way. Today I have the picnic for our Two's Time class. Tomorrow is a staff meeting, and Friday is a clean-up day. Then preschool is done for a while. I'll probably start set up for my classes near the end of July, since I'll be gone for two weeks in August. Three weeks from today is the last day of school for my kids. Matthew finishes classes sooner, because there is about a week and half for finals and Regents exams. He'll only go in when he has a test. Laura has finals, but in middle school they still go all day, every day.

Have a great day, everyone!

Beth

Good morning, DDAs!

Update on games for Andrew: Well, the DDA good wishes and PD came through again! Andrew had great games last week and his confidence soared!

Our team was in a three way tie for first. On Tuesday, we played one of the teams we were tied with. Andrew played well the first game, getting a couple of hits, and throwing out a couple of people from third base. We did end up losing by two runs.

The next game that night was against the same team. It was a protested game from earlier in the season. (The coach of this team is a horrible man and he threatened my brother, our coach, after that game.)

Anyway, we started in the bottom of the 7th inning, tied 6 - 6 with us at bat and our last batter with one strike against him and no outs. He ended up striking out. We went to the top of our order and that kid walked. He stole to second base. Next up was Andrew. I was so nervous that I turned around. I heard the umpire call a strike, then I heard the ball hit the bat and turned around to see it go foul. I heard the bat hit the ball again and again it went foul. All this time I was praying for a hit. Well, he was hitting the ball with the bat, but it was going foul. This is when I remembered Lynn's advice that she gets very specific during her kids games. I finally said, "God, please let Andrew have a hit out in the field that isn't caught." The next crack of the bat sent the ball flying over the second baseman's head. It sent in the winning run from second base. The game was over and we won. Woo Hoo! I'm so glad that I posted for PD and good wishes. The smile on Andrew's face was priceless at that point, and his confidence soared.

The game on Friday, we did lose, but again, Andrew played well.

Thanks again for all my DDA friends and their help with Andrew's confidence.

Last night, Jake had a very important game and they won. He had three awesome hits -- not bad for a seven year old. They each have two more games, so please keep them in your thoughts that they have fun and play well.

I'm wishing everyone :sunny: but not too hot and :wizard: for everyone who needs it!

Happy Wednesday, DDA! I have been reading along but not posting. Between the server :badpc: and my headaches, damn humidity, it seemed like a no win situation. I was able to send a few PM's but even that was a chore.

We are in the throes of potty training Molly. She has this amazing ability to strip out of her diaper at the beginning of nap and being able to stay dry until she wakes up but she refuses to use the potty. She will hold it until she has a diaper on. UGH!

So I will probably not be posting a lot until we get past this. I will try to keep up to date as I do not want to get too behind.

Here's :wizard: :grouphug: and :cheer2: to all who need it!

YES!!! That was her! I'm sorry I didn't chase you guys down! I did email my sister right away and tell her about my celebrity spotting though!

I wanted to say too that those shirts looked great! I wouldn't have known that they were printed at home if I didn't go to these boards! Obviously though, I hadn't been paying enough attention to the boards to know what shirt Kate had designed for the trip! Shame on me for missing my big opportunity to meet you guys!

I was the lady with the blue Sesame Street stroller with a cute little red head in it. I'm SURE you noticed me! ;)

My oldest was physically ready to potty train before he was emotionally ready to potty train. He used to say, "I like my diapers." He also would hold it until a diaper was on. When he was finally ready, he just moved from diaper to underwear with no accidents or "learning curve." Try not to let yourself stress too much about it. It will most likely happen in her time anyway. :goodvibes

After I posted I noticed that Molly's ticker disappeared. And when I went into the CP it is showing so I figure CRUSH stole it! :lmao: Where oh where can it be?

Want to go to the zoo?

My friends are from Toledo, OH, but they were down visiting some other friends in NC for Memorial Day weekend and stopping to see us on their way home. Well, they arrived around 6 p.m. (I made dinner for us), but their daughter was just miserable, because she's getting her two-year-old molars. She spiked a fever at 8 p.m. and after we gave her a cool bath, they decided they better just drive the rest of the way home.

So, now I'm waiting for Alyssa to wake up to decide if we're going to the zoo anyway...she's either going to wake up saying, "Zoo! Zoo! Zoo!" or she's forgotten all about it.

I hope everyone has a great day! :sunny:

I'll try to check in again at naptime.
Amy :)

For those of you with kids, do your kids like Build-a-bear still? My daughters loved them. I spent quite a bit of money at BAB during our annual school clothes shopping trip. We drive to Appleton WI every fall for school clothes and we always have to stop at BAB. Of course, now they spend their own money on it because they want as much of my money to go toward clothes!!! :lmao:

Becky has 3 bears, 2 horses, & a dog. One of the bears is dressed in a construction type outfit in honor of my father who worked for the Dept. of Transportation. He sits on her Tinkerbell shelf.

Katrina has a bear & a turtle (Denise don't even start on the turtle talk :rotfl: ). The bear is a ballerina in honor of Grandpa's nickname for her (Twinkletoes).

I guess it is better than a cigarette, gambling, drug, or alcohol addiction. :rotfl2:

Yup! And she's only 3yo! Terra has a lot of animals - 3-4 bears, dog, 2 bunnies, koala, monkey. Plus I have a bear and a cow. I have finally weaned her from the making of the animals, but suggesting we get clothes instead. We are currently working on the Disney collection and need to get Mulan and Jasmine still. I think then we will have both all of the Disney cotumes and a Disney costume for each animal.

No...I don't think you're nuts...yet...let's see what else you end up buying. ;)

Yup! We don't have AC either and the hot summer days are terrible on my asthma sometimes. Definitely another plus to moving to St. Louis...everywhere is air conditioned, unlike New England.

I always say.....

"God is good all the time and all the time God is good"!!!!
