thanks for the reminder to breathe!! :teeth:

I am travelling with the girls in July to BWI from Denver or Colorado Springs.
I didn't realize airfare was so dang expensive ($700 a person  when I first looked thankfully it's gone down). I have to be back on the 17th but can travel there any day from July 1 on.
Theresa

washington national airport is $163 RT + tax for July 3 - July 17 on Northwest airlines

DC is only about 45 minutes from BWI - so that would be a good option

have you checked southwest too?

they fly out of denver and into BWI

We had a similar AAA deal for our May 2005 trip. :thumbsup2

Hey Chanon, our front page news story today is the owners of Cedar Point bought Kings Island! :cool1:

Amy :)

Amy -- I am guessing that Kings Island is not a Paramount Park then? When we lived in Jamestown (near Xenia) we had season passes to Kings Island and then when we moved back to Virginia we had season passes to Kings Dominion until our kids got older. Kings Dominion is actually Paramount Kings Dominion now. And I had not heard that they had sold the park.

So before I forget (pregnancy brain, you know ;) ), we're going out of town this weekend, so don't worry about us! :teeth:

Amy :)

That reminds me: I will be out of town from Friday afternoon till late Monday night. I get to go celebrate my grandmother's 93rd birthday and my parent's 44th wedding anniversary. So, don't worry about me!

Have fun, Amy!

Yeah, what she said! With tax, that fare is $193.70 and is available starting 7/3. I think if you can stay close to the $200 mark you are doing pretty well. If you watch Southwest's sales and DING, you may find something a little better, but this is a good fare if you can buy now.

Since you have a range of dates, I went to www.travelocity.com and searched with "flexible dates". That shows the best deals for your cities on any date. Then you can see what dates this fare is available. Once you find a fare here, you can try to duplicate it on the airlines website if that makes you more comfortable, though I have never had a problem booking through travelocity/orbitz/etc.

Actually it is a Paramount Park, and I'm not really sure why they sold it. They just did some extensive improvements to the kid's area...it's all Nickelodeon themed and the paper said they're contracted with Nick for the next four years (Cedar Point has the Peanuts characters).

What excited me though is the idea of a season pass that is good at both parks, since you can see Cedar Point across the lake from my mom's house!

While I was making fun of Amy for trying to reach her next 1000 posts, I had my 4000th! :thumbsup2

See, you shouldn't make fun of me! :p

Congratulations on 4000! :cheer2:

Amy :)

Thanks for all the compliments on Alyssa's picture. :goodvibes

Of course, I should have also had my camera to capture the complete meltdown she had when we left the playdate, way too close to naptime.

AAA Benefits at Disneyland:
1. Collect Fastpasses for multiple attractions at one time with onsite resort stay.
2. Trading Pin and Lanyard
3. AAA Free Parking
4. Preferred seating at select attractions in California Adventure.
5. Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness and Early Entry into Fantasyland.
We had 2-5 with our good neighbor hotel. The kids loved the toontown one as they rode the little gadget go coaster around 10 times. DH stood in each line for the characters while I would take them to ride the coaster and come back and voila they would get their autograph and picture. It worked great. The EE to FL included Space MT. and Buzz as well as the FL rides.

I broke down and upgraded to an AP - I thought going for the marathon was out but Steve wants us to try for the 5K now- he really wants me to have a good goal for my rehab - and then we can use the AP for a room discount before our cruise

I think there are quite a few of us going for the marathon weekend - so there is a possibility for anyone interested in WDW!!!!

You know that I would be up for a meet at the half marathon!!! I'm so excited for that!

March sounds good. :thumbsup2 As for on-site never done that at WDW or DL. I have heard great things about some of the off-site hotels at DL and the trolleys drop you off closer than the monorail from the on-site hotels or the trams from the parking lots. We drove and parked the first day and after that used the trolley(ART). Much easier.

Last time we went to DL we stayed at a motel right outside the front gates... not sure what it was called though... it was basic but fine for sleeping and it had a pool... we just crossed the road and walked into the park... no need for a shuttle!

Our church just called. They have crocheted Rees a prayer shawl for him to have. They are presenting it to him tomorrow night before Wednesday night church dinner and having a special prayer session for us. I'm still in tears. I just can't tell you all how stressful this has been. Knowing how much you care for my children and my family touches my heart and soul more than you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being there for me and supporting me. I love you all and now I'm crying again.

That is so sweet! We will be praying until we hear how things go for Rees. Don't forget to take care of yourself. We want you well!

You all are cracking me up with the Chuck E. Cheese stuff. My family has always loved that place! :confused3 :rotfl:

Oh my goodness! Good point :rotfl: We actually have travelled to several other Paramount Parks just for fun over the years since they have owned it.... but that's even better -- much closer! :thumbsup2 Is it for sure going to work that way?

Ok, quoting myself but I just thought of something that I hope is wrong! :rotfl:

Geauga lake is owned by Cedar Fair as well, and you have to buy a special 2-park pass for those two, as far as I know... and they are really close to one another.

Did the newspaper article say our passes would be good at both? Hopefully that is the case!

ETA: Ok, I think I'm just going to wait for you to answer rather than keep googling. Because now, I'm reading that a Worlds of Fun pass is good at all Cedar Fair parks.

So which is it?! :teeth:

That is so sweet. Just don't forget to imagine all of the hugs and prayers of the DDA combined with those of the church during the prayer service. We love you all!!

I just found an article that said Cedar Fair LP is acquiring all 5 paramount parks. I wonder how much they'll change them, or if they'll keep them the same like they did a few smaller parks they have purchased :confused3 A combination of both would work for me! :thumbsup2
