I am trying to keep up with everyone but I came down with some nasty cold/sore throat Saturday night and have felt horrible since. I have had a fever that comes and goes and have been trying to sleep it all off. Will be back later to catch up.

Well, let's get to planning! Ok people, start naming your best time in 2007.

I am up for something different so DL sounds great :thumbsup2 Which airport would I fly to??

August ...... middle to end of the month

Hi, all! I am feeling cruddy. I went into the walk-in yesterday, because I had a UTI (one of the most painful I've experienced). They prescribed Bactrim. Apparently, I'm having an allergic reaction to that (though I've taken it before) plus experiencing some of the other common side effects. I'm heading out now to pick up a Cipro prescription that they called in when I told them about the rash around my mouth (ouch and ugly and itchy) and my tingling tongue (and the GI upsets).

DL sounds wonderful! I doubt that I would be able to make it, unless i could find a cheap non stop flight :teeth:

It can get hot, but it's a different heat than most of you are used to. It's a dry heat. Zero humidity! August is doable!

What is the URL to look up special Disney tours (eg. Segway)? When DBF and I are there in June, I'd like to do something different. Do you have to have park passes to do the tours? Our annual passes expired and we can't renew them right now.

I might be staying at the Yacht Club looking at Epcot from the outside in. How sad is that?!

Jennifer

How about this:

Which airport would you fly out of? Don't forget to check LAX, Long Beach, Orange County and Ontario. All of them are pretty easily accessible to DL.

I received the dvd's I purchased from Ebay today. I am so pleased with the few I have watched already. Makes me want to be there now :Pinkbounc

Kate sorry your trip had a rough start, but it sounds like all ended well. So where are the trip reports & pictures ladies????? We are all waiting

How was the 59th bday for DH friend? Rain?

It rained - so we all crammed in the tiny club house! I got to spend the afternoon playing with my friend's DS 6 months though - he's so cute you could eat him up! Even when he did throw up his milk all over my jeans :rotfl2:

I have a question for anyone that sews!!!
I'm looking at shirts on Ebay, and I get so confused when they give me numbers...from the site this is what they give me for mens button down shirt sizes in 100% cotton:
Large 42-44
Medium 38 - 40
Small 34 - 36
For both me and Bob, we want the shirts to fit loosely, but with a tank underneath for me. Bob normally gets XL tshirts, and I'm a LG/XL...and we'll base this on Old Navy clothes.
Any suggestions on sizes for both of us?

Yes. I almost stayed another night. They were looking for 2 volunteers to give up their seats. I was the 3rd. :guilty: I could have used that $400 credit for a December trip! I'm sure the kids were glad to see you.

geez missed out by one! I'd love that to happen on our trip home! (not outbound of course as we'd miss some of our trip!)

I would like to fly out of Moline or Peoria beings it is only a 40 minute drive. But that means a layover somewhere. If I go to Chicago(almost 4 hour drive)I could probably get a non stop flight. I doubt that dh would drive me to Chicago so I would have to take a train if I really wanted to do this. I do not like traveling alone so that is why I would love a non stop. I am a whiner what can I say lol

Hi, everyone. Thanks for checking in on me. Vicki, you have such an ACCENT! When I got up today (I went to bed last night at 6:15pm), DH told me you called. I listened to the voice message. What a sweetie you are! Rees is hanging in there. He goes Thursday to the hospital for general anesthesia for another Endoscopy and abdominal ultrasound. I'm really sick with a sinus infection that has spread to my lungs. First doctor's appt available is on Wed afternoon. I worked all day Friday teaching. Found out they had extended the school year (without telling anyone by one day), so I also had to work all day today. Taught the prenatal class from 8am to 5:30pm on Sat and my in-laws came in town for the weekend. To put it nicely, I'm wiped out completely physically and emotionally.

Tomorrow BK has Ballet Recital rehearsal at 5pm and Davis has a party until 4:30pm. DH is working late tonight through Wed pm and won't be home until 10pm each night so he can take off all day Thursday to watch BK and Davis. Wed is teacher work day all day, Thursday is the hospital. I hope Friday is the beginning of some down time for us all.

Oh, and my kiddos were the blessed recipients of one of Paula's SSP! It is overwhelming! DH and I opened it yesterday afternoon as our babysitter had put it in our spare bedroom and didn't tell us. It is AWESOME!!!!! The kids got so much stuff, and we're giving some this week to Rees but saving most for their b'day. I can't even believe how great it is. I will try to post some pics once they find out about it all. Paula, you are really an angel, and I want to PayPal you some money. You went completely and utterly overboard. It must have taken you 40 hours to make it all! I don't even know how to thank you.

Oh, and PM has a new towel from Paula and a BAB (tiny one) from June. Very cute. Rees loves PM and is getting one for his b'day. Thanks for fueling the Disney fantasy around here. BTW, who does PM go to next and when do I need to mail it?

I probably won't be around much, but I will post an update on Rees on Thursday. Hugs to you all.

We think Vicki has an accent but I am sure if she talked to you or Me she would laugh at our "southern accent". I have family on my husbands side that live in Grand Haven, MI and they definitely have a "northern accent".

Hello!!

Despite an extremely rocky start – I had an AMAZING weekend!!!

I posted my goodbye post – my ride (my mom) got here and I was ready to go – we were headed North to Dayton and really against the flow of traffic – I had checked in online and had nothing to check and Dayton is a small airport – It is a 45 minute drive and we decided to leave in time to give me over an hour leeway – at 6:15 we pulled onto the highway – and realized things did not look good – but we could not turn around and the next exit was 4 miles away – I called Steve he checked and there was an accident – just before the next exit – the radio said the backroads were worse than the highway and that was the best way to go – we had gone 2 miles in ½ hour and figured as long as we made the exit by 7:15 I would still have plenty of time – by 7:15 I still had ½ a mile to the exit – at 7:35 we pulled past the tail end of the accident clean up (I later found out that the highway had been closed from 3-6 am due to two separate accidents involving multiple cars and tractor trailers)

I made it to the airport by 8:00 for my 8:10 flight and saw the plane pull away from the gate as I rushed back there – I had already called Airtran and the lady told me she doubted I would get out that day b/c she had already had 10 calls from people missing flights in Dayton b/c of the accident and she was at the national call center

Remember when I switched flights from Delta to Airtran a few months back – well procrastination or whatever had stopped me from canceling that original Delta flight – so I knew worst case scenario – I would arrive that evening. I went straight to the Delta counter and for $25 I ended up on a flight arriving at 1:00 in Orlando – and the best news was that Airtran had so many people missing their early morning flights that they were delighted they didn’t have to fit me on a flight and they gave me a full ticket credit!!!!

I called Tammi and Kristine and made arrangements so Tammi could check in at the hotel and was told she would be able to pick up the rental car.

My mom and I headed to breakfast since I now had 2.5 hours to kill – only then did I leave my planner mode and got pretty upset about it – even though everything was working out – I hoped this wasn’t an omen!!

:scared1: That's my worst nightmare missing a flight! So glad you had the back up one up your sleeve AND got a refund on the missed flight :thumbsup2

I use a spatula (that's what we call it). I am in no way qualified to make anything flip in the air! :rotfl2:

A spatula! We call them that too You should definitely try the flipping thing though it's fun! I can only do it once in a while though and usually stick to the spatula :thumbsup2

Thanks for checking in Denise, hope you get to feeling better soon :wizard:

Eek! The thought of flipping a crepe really makes my stomach hurt. I just know it would be a disaster! I might try it though, sometime, to make my kids laugh. They love to see when Mom tries something and it turns out badly!

Day One – Thursday, May 18th

I was up at 0400 and out the door by 0510. My flight wasn’t until 1130 but I wanted to make sure I could get on the 0840 flight. Everyone else was supposed to be getting in earlier than me so I wanted to spend as much time as I could with them.

So I’m at Reagan Airport at 0645 and I was able to get on the 0840 flight for a $25 fee. Not more than 3 minutes after that I get a call from Kate telling me that she was stuck in traffic and might not make her flight. She sounded so tense, and she told me if I don’t hear from her again that means that she made it, but if she didn’t she would call. I stopped for a Cinnabon/coffee and said a small prayer that Kate would make it. I called DH and the kids before they headed off to school. I almost told him to post that Kate needed some :wizard: , but that would have taken too much explaining of how to do it. (computer challenged). I was sitting at my gate waiting to board when my phone rang. My heart sunk because I knew before I answered that it was going to be Kate. She was standing at her gate, crying  , watching her plane leave without her. But all was well because she made her Delta flight that she never canceled!!

Fast forward to Orlando: Kristine and I arrive at the same time and meet at the Alamo counter. Kate called and made sure that I could pick up the car that was in her name. We wait in line for about ½ hour and guess what, I can’t pick up the car because it is paid with Kate’s CC and in her name. So Kristine and I go up to the food court to get a bite to eat. She tries Chick-fil-a since they don’t have them in Chicago. You can ask her for her opinion. While we were finishing up eating, Kate calls and says she is just now getting off of her plane!! We all meet at Alamo again, make it through the line and the agent tries to get us to upgrade to a full size as opposed to a compact. We politely say no thank you, that a compact will be fine. She gives our paperwork and out we go to pick up our car. Luck is changing….no compact cars on the lot! Sneaky agent. So we end up with an ugly orange Chevy HHR. This is one car that we never missed in a parking lot full of vehicles.
hhr.jpg

So we were finally on the road heading to the Dolpin at 2:25. Our room wasn’t ready so we boated over to MGM. We got a FP for RnRC and rode ToT. Then we headed over to play WWTBAM. This is where the story gets really funny. So the three of us are in our seats, Tammi in 100, Kristine in 99, and Kate in 98. We play the fastest finger round and I make the top 10. An older gentleman who appeared to be completely devastated to be the winner was in the hot seat. He lost on the second question. So after 2 more questions they list the new top 10. Now if you’ve never played at WDW, the person in 1st position now goes to the hot seat. No fastest finger round again. It flashes on the big screen that seat 99 is the winner!!!! All I hear is “that’s me!!” and up Kate jumps and heads down the aisle to take her position. Kristine then leans over and whispers “aren't I 99??” OOPS!!!! Not only is Kate a stealth milestone stealer, she is a stealth hot seat stealer as well. Kristine and I have a few jokes back and forth that if Kate wins the cruise, either Steve or one of her kids is going to have to bow out to make room for Kristine. In all fairness to Kate, though, in the excitement of the moment, it was easy to be confused. The way they had the seat numbers, 99 was more in front of her than Kristine. So we cheered her on and she made it to the $8000 question. She did win a hat and some pins. We then went back and rode RnRC, which Kristine was not thrilled with.
We shopped through a few stores and headed over to the Dolphin to change. It was now time to head over to Epcot and eat. We finally settled on counter service in Japan and then made it to Jonnette’s dessert party in France where we ate yummy cakes and cookies and had a front row view for Illuminations. She looked beautiful in her wedding dress. After it was over we walked back to the Dolphin and watched some TV before heading to bed.
