I really think someone needs to pass up Kate's and Tammi's post count on this thread while they're gone. Kate has 2224 posts and Tammi has 2080.

Jennifer, you're closest wtih 1689, followed by Glynis with 1503 and Vicki with 1473.

But, Paula, this seems right up your alley...you have 1250 posts. :teeth:

Amy :)

I'll do my best, however, my computer conked out day before yesterday, and I'm only able to get on when DH lets me use his laptop. Luckily, he took my computer in to be fixed today, and left his laptop home for me to use. Maybe I'll be able to catch up.

Wow, I'm impressed you actually serve side dishes with your tacos! I figure the taco itself covers most of the major food groups. :rotfl:

Amy :)

I'm the same. Don't tacos have meat, grains, veggies and dairy? Sounds like the perfect meal to me.

DH had to work late last night, so I ended up making pancake puffs for the kids, and having a piece of string cheese for my dinner. Yummy! Yes, I'm being sarcastic. Boy, did I want a pancake puff. The only thing that held me back was the pain that I knew I would be in if I ate one. Yikes!

Marti should be giving them out sometime soon.

Thank you Marti, Paul and Matthew for helping me with one of my SSP's.

Paula, those are absolutely darling! What a fun thing for them to have to remember the trip by! You are a really good friend!

This is a wonderful idea, I am game! Although I would probably pass on the Segway :goodvibes

Some of us are going in January for the half marathon! The rest of you could come cheer us on!

I love this idea. I'd like to suggest choosing a time during the value season because then I'd probably be able to make it. I'll have my annual pass for the parks so it would just be my flight, room & food for me. During value season, I can usually get cheap air flights as well.

Value season would be best for me too, as I would probably be able to talk DH into letting me go if it's cheaper!

I don't have the greenest thumb, either, but I believe that petunias are pretty hardy. Also pansies. I think they are really cheerful flowers, too.
That's interesting. Pansies are our winter flowers!

Value season for 2007 would be around 8/27 - 10/4. Maybe we would be luck enough to also get free dining!!!

Amy :)

Only when my computer is on the fritz! Actually, today I'm babysitting my niece and nephew. I'm not thrilled about it as they are terrible children. that's horrible to say, but it's true. For example, last Friday DH was watching them while I went bowling, and they dumped a can of gasoline all over his garden! Can we say ANGRY?!? After that, they went into my basement, got into my craft scissors, and cut up Katie's Harry Potter UNO card game. They do this kind of stuff all the time. They've torn up my books, broken my kids toys (intentionally) and stolen stuff. We've talked to their parents (DH's brother) and they just laugh it off. They won't pay for anything, because they refuse to believe that their kids are responsible. Makes me so mad! However, I keep watching their kids! Someone explain that to me?!? Today I'm making them sit on the couch and not move without my permission. So far they're 45 minutes into a 2 hour sentence. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to hold out!

Sorry to vent, but I'm at my wits end with these kids. I would never allow my kids to act that way at someone else's house without offering to pay for the damage. Grrrrr.

Thought about video taping? (evil grin here) I know it's mean, but for the parents to just brush it off, and to a family member too!

Those are beautiful. You did a great job on those!!! They are going to be so excited to have them. Now what are you giving to the rest of us spread across the United States for NOT being able to go??

Hey don't forget about me... :goodvibes

I think so, World or the Land??

I'll vote for either place, but will stick up faithfully for DL. It would be new for most of you, too! Paula, Tia and I (Amy too, I think) would have a ball showing you around. It's easy to do everything there in a couple of days, so it would be perfect and not make us feel we were missing many parks.

Clare, we will never forget about you!!! We sometimes forget that you are not in the United States but you are never forgotten!!!!!!!! :grouphug: You are definitely an integral part of the DDA!!!!

I am going from memory so I hope I don't forget anyone!

Beth- Happy Belated Birthday!! Your cakes looked amazing and those strawberries, if I could have found a way to eat them through the computer I would have. We will be in WDW Aug 20-26th. I think Anne Marie will be there in August too, not sure of the dates. Do you think that would qualify for pillowcases if we planned a get together! :goodvibes

Paula- I love the pillowcases, and the thought behind them even more. I am sure they will enjoy them. Did Pal Mickey really snatch your Starbucks? How dare he! :teeth:

Dawn- Thanks so much for the recipe! It sounds so yummy and easy! Hope you aren't to sore from your fall!

Amy- :cheer2: for the walk through this weekend. Sounds like you will be busy with all your plans. If we have tacos, that's all we have too!

Jennifer- Cinderella will get in the mail tomorrow. I tried to make it yesterday to the post office but didn't and then I missed the mail today. Your pics are amazing.

Tia- Welcome Back. Sounds like you and Terra had a great time in CA.

Steffy- Glad to hear your ankle is feeling better!

Vicki- Have fun camping this weekend!

Glynis- Sorry to hear your computer is not working. How of Alan to leave his Happy Belated Birthday to your DH. :cake: laptop for you. I really like the pen pal idea with Denise's bunch.

Clare- Belated Birthday wishes to your DH :cake:

Chanon- Congrats on 700! :cool1:

Lindsay- Sorry work is so

I think that catches me up! Sorry if I forgot someone. :wizard: :cheer2: :grouphug: if I did! Here's :wizard: for :sunny:. It is gray and dismal here and it is not doing anything to help my mood or motivating me at all.

Winter flowers! I love that idea. Unfortunately, we can resemble the tundra here some winters. Pansies can survive somewhat lower temperatures, though, which is why I said that Amy may have trouble finding them this time of year. They can go in the ground in late April around here, and you don't have to worry about the possibility of a mild frost. They also bloom a little later into the fall than others.

:wizard: for you, your kids, and your possessions! I hope you come through this babysitting experience unscathed. My children would be in so much trouble if they even had a thought of behaving like that!

Hold out Aunt Glynis!! Those two sound like Royal PITA's and they need to have discipline from somewhere, they will thank you later.

I personally wouldn't still be watching them, let them go to a center and mom & dad would then be held accountable for the darlings behavior.

Feel free to vent! I used to babysit a brother and sister like this. They had no respect for anything that was in my house. Broke most of Emma's toys and one of my Snow White Collectible Plates. :furious: I didn't even get an I'm really sorry let alone an offer to repay. Their problem was they were/are so incredibly spoiled and have about 6 of each toy so to them it was no big deal if one broke as they had more to replace it.

At least you are nice enough to let them sit on your couch. I use to make them sit on a wooden fold up chair in the middle of my dining room. My great Aunt used to do this to my dad. He said it was the most frustrating thing as he couldn't even kick the walls. And it worked to as he only sat in the chair about 5 times.
