Well, you are going to have a wonderful time! I absolutely can't wait until we go. We'll be kidless and with another couple (our really good friends) so it will be a time to do what we WANT to do and not what the kids say we have to do. Should be fun and relaxing!

I can't wait to hear about your trip!

Thanks, Glynis. I am SO excited about our big family trip next year because I will finally get to do some of my favorite rides. Of couse, now that Terra is almost big enough I will start getting to do a few more. I am HIGHLY considering sneaking back to the park later in the evening and leaving Terra with my friend so that I can sneak in a few rides like Space Mtn (dying to try the "new" version), Soarin', Big Thunder, etc.

I have a great DH. When I talked about buying Pal Mickey before our trip, he commented that he didn't think it was worth the money. When I bought Pal Mickey, he rolled his eyes but didn't say anything. By the end of our trip, he was enjoying listening to what he had to say. When I bought a sweater & hat for Pal Mickey, the eyes rolled again. When I told him that Pal was going to travel, I got the eye action again.

Well, Bernadette sent me a post card from WDW as a thank you for taking notes while she was gone. It is sitting on my kitchen counter. This morning Chuck says to me "Do we need to get you a bulletin board or something to hang in the hallway to display your stuff as it comes from Mickey's travels?" How awesome is that??!!!!

He has always been that way. He might not agree or like something that I want to do but he always supports it. I'm so lucky!!!!!!

What a great idea! :goodvibes

Great recipes Glynis!

Thanks. I'm addicted to cookbooks! I love looking through them. I've never had the itch to try anything, until recently. Now, I enjoy trying to make new recipes, but they have to be relatively uncomplicated and use ingredients that normal people would buy.

I only post recipes that I have tried and enjoyed, so there should be no surprises!

Isn't it amazing what the power of positive thinking and some prayers will do? I think the important thing is that we're all focusing our energy on something that is important to someone dear to us! We are all wholeheartedly hoping that this campout will be a success for your sake! You've done so much planning and preparation for it! Let us know, and we'll keep the prayers and pixie dust coming.

What she said!! :thumbsup2

Dawn: they seriously messed up your drugs if you were out that long!! I was never out - just got the oral stuff!! Definately ask your doctor about that!!

Tia: I had NO idea that the Splash at DL had seperate seats - hmmm...I might need to investigate all the little things like that for my trip in October - Pauls - you can come visit me at DL in October - I am giving you TONS of notice!!

I agree with you on the C-section meds. I was never out! Just pleasantly numb for a while. The only problem I had was that the student nurse insisted on sitting me upright immediately after I was taken to recovery. It caused me to leak spinal fluid, and I got really dizzy and nauseous for a while, until I was put flat on my back again! Other than that, I was wonderful! I never had any real pain from the C-section, and told DH that if I ever decided to have more babies (not going to happen, though) I would want them all to be C-sections.

As for Splash at DL, I've never been to the one in WDW, so I really can't compare, but we've never had a problem with our kids on Splash. You are wedged into the logs tightly, and I was always able to keep an arm (or a leg) around my kids. Jacob was nervous the first time, and so I ended up putting him right in front of me, and then I wrapped my legs around him for the duration of the ride. He felt secure, and then had so much fun that he went on it 3 more times right afterwards. It wasn't bad, I promise!

Have any of you bought the Disney Princess Zizzlingers? I bought a pack of the princesses yesterday and a pack of the Marvel Super Heroes. I dissolved the princesses a few minutes ago and this could be very addicting! I got #13 Cinderella, #15 Ariel and #8 Belle.

I can't wait for Christopher to do the comic heroes.

Explain, please! These sound fun, and I have no clue what they are.

At DL, they spent nearly two years doing a total rehab for the 50th! They did everything from gut the inside and putting down whole new tracks to changing the soundsystem and soundtrack to repainting the outside the original white instead of the gold color it had been for years. I've heard great things, but it was still closed when we moved and it was just Terra and me at Christmas so I didn't get to try it.

:rotfl2: I just read that and thought - you need a Fly lady 15 minutes! :rotfl2:

I am so converted - Glynis will be proud of me :goodvibes

There's an ad on tv at the moment with this cartoon woman looking stressed and it tells the story about how mornings are a nightmare as the kids can't find their school books, or they're doing their homework etc etc chaotic - and that they never have breakfast and eat sweets from the corner shop. The mum whips out a bottle of some new milk and cereal drink packed with e-numbers and says - but now I've found this the kids can drink it on the way to school and get all the nutrients they need...

The first time I saw it I turned to DH and said seriously - she should get FLYlady - then she the mornings wouldn't be a nightmare and she'd have time to feed them a proper breakfast :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The spell is working on DH too, for three years I've been telling him to make the bed (he's always up last) to no avail... then I tell him Flylady insists the bed is made and bob's your uncle { ;) } he starts making it! Properly too with the pillows on top of the duvet and everything

Gotta  FLYlady :thumbsup2

Well I just got back from the dentist - spent half an hour hanging upside down in the chair - quite literally - have a great headache now the bloods come back! - all for a nice new shiny white filling! Never had one of those before I'm a cheapskate and usually have the awful mercury ones but they put the price of those up so I stumped for a white one instead.

Going to get back to my assignment for a while now.

Oh Denise I was thinking about Rees and BK and Davis while I was hanging upside down in the chair - hope the trip to the dentist went ok for them :wizard:

Yay for Flylady!!! Now that my school is over, I'm concentrating more on Flylady again. It feels so good! I wish I could DH converted like you have. He sees the value, but really is not motivated to do the system. I think he would really get into it if he tried it from start to finish! Oh well, at least the kids and I can get something out of it!

Way to go on making the bed! We just started the twins doing that, and the beds don't look wonderful, but at least the covers are on the beds, and not on the floor. We'll just keep plugging away!

I saw these for the first time today, but they only had the Marvel Super Heroes. I bought a pack for Miles' birthday next week. If I had seen the Princesses, I would have had to buy them!

We loved it!!! Of course, it's been closed for so long I couldn't remember what it used to be like. My brother took Jacob on it, and as soon as they came off, he skipped over to me and asked if I wanted to go. So, off we went together. The whole time we were in line, he kept saying, "Now, don't worry, Mom. We go to space, but I'll be with you the whole time. You'll be safe. I promise. Space is so cool." He really thought we were flying through space. That's what I love about Disney; the magic is real!

I spent this morning (early) making play doh to send to Jacob's kindergarten class for Kid's Day, and now the twins are wanting some. So, I'm off for a while to make some blue and pink play doh for the girls. I'll check back in a while!

Deb: you might want to remember when you go to meet Tia - that she DOES NOT look like Aurora!! :lmao: cause that's who'd I be looking for!!

That is too funny I often think that Aurora is Tia, but then I turn my brain on. I will have to get her to post a picture of her before we go so I can find her, although I'm sure I'll be able to pick out her beautiful little girl.

Glynis -

here is a link to the zizzle website - one for the marvels and one for the princesses

http://www.zizzle.com/zizzlingers_marvel.html

http://www.zizzle.com/zizzlingers_disney_poster.html

I think I am heading to Wal Mart tonight!!!!

My Wal-Mart must have been out of the Princess ones. I may make a stop at Target tomorrow.

Has anyone else ever done the bath balls with Pooh, Princesses, or Nemo inside? They fizz and turn the tub water a color, and there is a little plastic figure inside. There are only three varieties for each type, though. Miles and Laura love those.

It would be great if the Zizzlingers were available in other Disney characters.
