Mom is going to Disney with us in December.

Hope everything is ok at the ultrasound today. :grouphug:

Hi Heidi! How are you doing??? :goodvibes

I actually have another ultrasound at 2:30 p.m. to check on the location of my placenta. At my last appointment, the doctor thought the situation had corrected itself since I haven't had any spotting, but I'm excited we get to have another ultrasound just to make sure.

Amy :)

Oh Denise I feel that pain.. My "baby" will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Her orientation is May 25th. She gets to ride the bus around the school, visit her class, the gym, & the lunchroom. Its so hard to see her grow & need me less. I am happy for her & sad that her baby & preschool years are over...I will miss it.

My baby is turning 18 this summer and will be starting her senior year in the fall. Waaaaaaaaaa! It seems like just yesterday that I was putting her on the bus for kindergarten. My eldest is going to be 21 in the fall.

Plus I had no idea you were so not into reading food posts. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I normally could care less and go look at all the yummy food threads I can find. However I was trying to get myself to bad without having a midnight snack that I wanted. With me working some nights, I find myself hungry at night but know my eating at night is not good if I have already eaten what I should have eaten for the day. Since I was not up all night, I didn't want to eat anything before going to bed.

It was like, I was hungry and being rainstormed with food as everyone all of a sudden started talking about it. :rotfl2:

I successfully did not have a midnight snack, you may now return to your regularly programmed food talk.

Becky, silly, you need to take notes from the Queen about our posting styles. I have been posting at this time for a few nights in a row now. :teeth:

And I just ate a nice healthy turkey sandwich...too lazy to add lettuce and tomato though. Just turkey on wheat with a little ( ;) ) mayo.

Amy :)

Amy & Kevin -- love the new picture collage!

:furious: It's people like that, I tell ya!..... that is really stupid of him, especially knowing her history. Hopefully she gets the support she needs elsewhere and realizes he is not (at least in this aspect, obviously i don't know the whole situation) very good for her! :sad2: :wizard:

oo don't even get me started on the rest of him! He's going through a very messy divorce and his ex wife is a PITA and he panders to her every need. I wish she'd see sense and get out, but not only is she coo coo about him she's also fallen head over heels for his 5 year old daughter...

Makes me value my straight down the line, no messin' relationship with DH that's for sure

Does it count if my DH and Emma will be in Boston that weekend. They are driving up to visit his sister and family. I may just have to see if we could swing airfare for me up there. They leave on Thursday and I can't get away until late Friday or early Saturday. I would love to come up to meet you all. Visit the SIL not so much :teeth:

That would be so much fun. A Boston DDA meet!! Anyone else care to join us?

How cool is that!?! A quick trip to DL would suit my needs quite well. However, I know DH would never let me go as he's taking me in just 3 and a half weeks. I'll be thinking about you, though, and wishing you a happy birthday!

This is where the in-laws actually come in handy! They live about 15 minutes from the park and we always stay with my best friend who lives about 1/2 mile away. We can watch the fireworks from her front porch or the boys' bedroom and walk to the parks. Going to DL at least once while there is my consolation payment for going to see the in-laws and for letting DH stay home when we do. Crazy travel-hating man only goes when there is a holiday involved. Actually, taking advantage of that fact is why we are going now instead of after the summer...then it would be birthday season for his family and he would need to go too, thus costing me $250. So, we're going now and thus have more money for Disney! ;)

I should have known something up when two pages posted that quick!! WOO HOO 31000!!!

Deb - you better hope Tia stays in Boston that weekend :teeth: she seems to take off on moments notice a lot!!!

Tia - I hope you have a great time!!!

Denise - I dread when Julia starts Kindergarten - you have a triple bam with yours!! I am glad that Rees did well today!!

I promise, Deb!! I really, really do! I've got to stick around and get ready for my parents to come the weekend after that so I can't go anywhere.

Apparently the boards picked up speed after I went to bed last night as there are 10 new pages :confused3

Denise I hope Rees is much better now.

Steffy, sorry about the cast, but I hope that it solves your problem before your sister's "gift" trip. I'm glad she finally gets it.

What is all the food talk. I'm trying to be good here and my tummy wants breakfast. Guess I'll have to find something healthy to eat.

Thanks again for all the weather well wishes. The forcast this morning says only a 20% chance of rain now for Friday and Saturday and only a 10% chance on Sunday. The power of the DDA is amazing. Which one of you is related to mother nature? ;) I'm really starting to look forward to this trip.

Nope... wish I was! But our family is having a reunion in Boston June 22-25. Tia will have to let me know where she is and we will have to see whether or not we could connect in the short time I am there.

 I'm in Salem, MA (about 30 minutes north along the coast) and am in the city for work during the week and at least one day of the weekend to do something fun with Terra. If you have a few point in your schedule let me know! I should be around. It would be great to meet you.

I have heard lots of women successfully sing Elvis -

I think she tried to sing beyond her capability - and her arrangements were too complicated

she should have left the all shook up out of hound dog - that is when it really seemed to go downhill

and then with the 2nd one - I agreed with what simon said - I just wanted apple pie and you put way too much cream on it - she got lost in the music - it sounded like she was trying to outsing the music

I really don't get Elliot - he sings well - but I don't think he has mass appeal

I think it will come down to Taylor and Chris - but I have no idea who will win

Chris and I picked Taylor and Chris during the original audition process. To be truthful, we watched the second half of the show last night and really haven't watched it since the original auditions. We love to watch all the sucky people then the finals :teeth: I was really surprised to see that Elliot really has tried to change his image. He didn't look nearly as redneck as he did in the beginning. It will be interesting to see who wins. I don't think this year's competition was as good as past years, I've really had no desire to watch. Last year I enjoyed watching every week.

I was trying to get caught up on my shows.

Did anyone else think Kat walked into tonight's competition with a big disadvantage being the only female on Elvis night?

Amy :)

I watched a little for the first time all season last night and that was my thought too!

BTW - Great new signature, Kevin!

I'm back on page 1852. I'll never catch up...

I got off the plane, went to my nephew's house, went back to the airport and came home. No time to do anything. I didn't even get to a drugstore to buy a postcard!

Oh well. My leg is going to be in this cast for at least another month...

I made my great-nephew these onesies...

Thanks Kate! I got all of them from your gallery. He loved them!!

I'm not going to catch up. :surfweb: :surfweb: :wave2:

My sister is going to go to WDW with me. I was able to explain the concept of the word gift... :rolleyes1

Welcome back!

Cute onesies, and I'm glad you got through to your sister... now you can really be excited about your trip! :teeth:

That sounds more whirlwind than some of my trips and I've done some quick ones! Welcome back!!

I am glad that your sister is going to go with you. :cool1: You will both have so much fun and I know how much you wanted to treat her to this trip.

Yep. The placenta's not allowed to come out before the baby. ;)

Amy :)

Yeah.... it's probably best that it waits! ;)

I hope your appointment and US go well today! :goodvibes

I googled and didn't even see it

Based on Amy's last post

easy to spread?

No kidding! When I googled it this morning, all I could find was Hellman's slogan, which was worse - in light of the conversation! ("When you bring out the Hellman's...") :rotfl:

Amy good luck with the ultrasound later today. Denise, are you up? How is Rees feeling. Good morning to everyone and have a nice day. I'll get to check in periodically today while actually packing for the trip. Tomorrow I will cook and Friday I need to run errands in the morning so that we can leave as soon as the boys get off the school bus :goodvibes

It sounds like it's a good thing I haven't watched it.

::yes:: I don't think you would like it very much!

Clare -- you shouldn't really watch it either, because the other problem was that if I HADN'T seen the miniseries and/or read the book, I would be TOTALLY lost. They skip around a lot, and it's really hard to follow any of the other characters besides the Lizzie/Darcy love story! You're going to have to watch the 6-hour one! ;)
