The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 7

I just got back from the gym. I am now up to two miles on the treadmill at 2.6 mph. I'm determined to be able to walk around Disney World easily this time! Last time I got a lot of pain in my back and hips by the end of the day. They also have a 30 minute circuit training unit, and I do this a couple of times a week, too (just the machines, though, as I'm doing the cardio and large muscle workout on the treadmill). Sometimes I do the recumbant bike. I like this gym because you can watch TV while you work out on the cardio machines. They have TVs set to certain channels and you plug in headphones and watch change the channels to the one of your choice. You can also listen to different music stations.

The board is slow again tonight.

OK...I need to come clean with you....I already went on MY birthday trip last week with 2 adult friends. A very different kind of trip than the one with Lizzie. :teeth:

From margarita stand near Mexico. WAY too strong for me to have on my trip with Lizzie. :rolleyes1

That Margarita looks so good. And to think I passed it up back in November.

It looks like I might get to meet a DDAer soon!! Chris's boss is taking the employees to a Red Sox game on May 27th. I suggested we drive to Boston in the morning and see some of the sights. Tia and Terra may be able to join us and show us around a bit. I can't wait. The game is a 7:05 PM game so we'll get a hotel for Saturday night and the boys and I will get a mini vacation out of his trip to Fenway. Did I say I can't wait. So is anyone else going to be in Boston on May 27th?

Okay, I think in my tired daze I missed some pages. From time to time I was seeing quotes that didn't sound familiar, but don't know where I missed them. So to all I didn't respond to  :wizard: and :grouphug:

Paula - I don't suppose you wanted to just head South and crash my birthday party with Mickey on Monday do you? I hate to have to typing in grren again, but....

I decent fare popped up last night so we are headed to CA on Saturday, coming back on the red eye Tuesday night. Downside - I "get" to spend Mother;'s Day with my in-laws who will probably only remember that my birthday is the next day if DH reminds them before we go. Upside - I get to spend my birthday with my best friend and Mickey! We will hit DL for awhile on at least Mon and maybe Tues. Plus if we get done with the inlaws early enough Sun, I may sneak in Fantasmic and Remember. Upside 2 - my sister is in CA until Sun so I may get to see her too. Upside 3 (this is for you Kristin) - if the inlaw visit is out of the way, it may increase the chances of a quick Dec trip.

And now that I am FINALLY caught up, I am off to bed so that I can fall behind again. What's the big idea with working being so busy that I can hardly find time to DIS anyway? :confused3

Margaritas always look good, but for some reason tequila gives me a headache (I don't mean an alcohol induced headache from too much, it's just tequila that does this - it's almost immediate).

OMG!!!!

DH used to be the director of community affairs for a local homebuilder - he left his job about a year ago - at the time we knew it was the best decision ever - today that was confirmed

the homebuilder had 76 employees arrested at jobsites today in an illegal immigrant raid - a culmination of a 2 year investigation - supposedly they went to the headquarters and sent all non-management employees home - interviewing the management team and looking through files

DH had nothing to do with hiring and did not know anything about this - but he would have been stuck at work today and since he was the point person with government officials and press - he would have been in the middle of it!!

Whew..thank goodness he wasn't employed there anymore.

YIPPEE!!! Hey, Bernadette, what do you say? Want to join us? The jids would all be about the same ages.

Hi, all. Kids did well at the Dentist. Rees did cry and get upset, but he went back on his own which is a first. Tonight was Parent Orientation for Kindergarten at the Elementary School. John and I both went. It was very good, but we both were sad realizing how big they have gotten. Their Pre-K graduation is Monday. I'll be back tomorrow after church dinner.

We're closing in on 31000. Who is on tonight?

We had a very nice picnic tonight and watched Hunter's Practice. The Cub Scout meeting was outdoors, looking at some heavy equipment which the boys loved, but it started raining so we had to cut the meeting short. I had bought a mad libs book at the dollar store and Nick, Chris and I had a ball doing some of the pages. Hunter had fun too after his busy night. I had forgot how much fun those could be.

In 103 days you can have one. They are yummy just don't try to hike quickly around World Showcase with it, savour it and take your time. Something about some one having to go to work and we were already half way around the lagoon. Someone got hit by the alcohol a bit too quickly and no it wasn't me. :rotfl2: I am sure the heat had no additional effect on this person either.

I claim post 31,000 but doubt I will get it anyways the way the boards are moving. Denise or Kate will come in and take it.

Just finalized our Brownie plans for Planet Teddy tonight. It's like Build A Bear but a heck of a lot closer so we can actually have it during our meeting time. Otherwise it would have to be a weekend, which my troop can rarely do. It's $24.95 a girl which includes a large stuffed animal and a full outift, plus they have an arrangement with Auntie Ann's at the mall, so we are getting each of them a small lemonade and a pretzel for $1.49 a girl. They are going to do games and activities with the girls as well.

Originally we were going to give them $20 per girl and get a treat in the mall, but I figure this way everyone gets an animal, an outift and a snack for less than $30 and the girls earned it and this is what they wanted this and a pool party and if possible Crystal Cave. Off to figure out when to hold a pool party and to make sure my I have my butt covered by following safety wise.

Perhaps I am having my own posting party on the way to 31,000.

I am :rotfl2: up here as I have like 5 posts in a row and know someone is going to come in and take the milestone.

You rock!! That's great you are so commited. I have been doing my old Cher step tape & the walk away the pounds videos. Great for the legs. Great idea to get yourself ready for the walking.

I think everyone's afraid to post because it's so slow, and we might take it away from you! Holding my breath.....

So I need to think of things to post. :rotfl2:

Did I get one yet??

So this is a first! I finally got a milestone.... thanks guys! Sorry its not Denise or Kate that got it - hope I'll do :teeth:
