Aww that's a real sweet thing to say :)

Thanks for all the dust from everyone else too.

I've got the other two assignments to worry about now... the ones we got an extension for... our tutor went off sick after setting two really woolly questions - hence the extension - and he just came back today and gave us an outline for what he expects from an answer... I interpreted that so far off track! I'll be glad next Thursday when they're all handed in!
Good luck!

I forgot to ask everyone...I have two childrens Sudoku books that I got paired with my adult Sudoku books from LTD. Would anyone be interested in them? Instead of 3x3's they are 2x3's and have only 6 boxes inside the squares, with numbers or symbol designs instead of just numbers. Shoot me off a PM if you're interested! :thumbsup2

I think that Margarita just went on my WDW to-do list!!!!!

I love your pictures - especially the EE and Italy one -

maybe when I am there I will try to get some photographs like that and blow them up for my family room - DH and I have never picked photos for them and shots like that would be perfect - a very subtle Disney theme!!
Make sure you get the tri-level one. The one side of the stand only does or did the plain margarita and not the multi-flavor. I had, had a multi-layer before and a friend got me a frozen margarita for my 22nd b-day at EPCOT, they only had the traditional flavor available. I was kind of disappointed but since I didn't pay for it I wasn't complaining as it still had me :drinking1

As for enlarging prints I have three 16 x 20 prints in my bedroom. Of course all are Disney, the one is the view from the top of Splash mountain I posted a few days ago, the other is the Disney Wonder at Castaway Cay and the other one is Mount Rushmore from Castaway Cay. They were all free with coupon codes from Shutterfly, all I had to do was pay for shipping and handling, I think it was like $12 shipping for 4 16 x 20 pictures plus some free 4 x 6 prints.

So I've read a few pages.Have comments when I was reading but didn't have another window open to write them as I went along. :confused3 My brain is mush.I am so worn out from dealing with her.I'm getting in touch with Medicare this week and see what sort of help I can get. It's wearing me out. Some days I feel like I can't put one foot in front of another.

:grouphug: Alicia! I can't even imagine how hard this all is on you. It sounds like the call to Medicare is needed. I hope that you are able to get some help to releive some of the stress you've been feeling. :grouphug: and :wizard:

I have a great DH. When I talked about buying Pal Mickey before our trip, he commented that he didn't think it was worth the money. When I bought Pal Mickey, he rolled his eyes but didn't say anything. By the end of our trip, he was enjoying listening to what he had to say. When I bought a sweater & hat for Pal Mickey, the eyes rolled again. When I told him that Pal was going to travel, I got the eye action again.

Well, Bernadette sent me a post card from WDW as a thank you for taking notes while she was gone. It is sitting on my kitchen counter. This morning Chuck says to me "Do we need to get you a bulletin board or something to hang in the hallway to display your stuff as it comes from Mickey's travels?" How awesome is that??!!!!

He has always been that way. He might not agree or like something that I want to do but he always supports it. I'm so lucky!!!!!!

Well it's official!! :guilty: No WDW for us this summer. :guilty: We spent the last month trying to figure out some way to go even for a quick trip but no go...I just cancelled our reservation and will go home and cancel our meal ressie's

Come heck or high water we will make it next year!!

I'm so sorry. It is expensive to start saving now and you'll have a much nicer trip next year. We are also taking a year off, but planning a great big trip in July/Aug 2007, no rushing and no worries.

Theresa,
I am sorry to hear this. Sending :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to you, Cassidy and Abi. I think you should throw you own Disney party. Watch Disney movies, look through pictures, perhaps try to recreate some of you favorite foods. Just because you cannot go to the Magic, you should create your own magic.

Can I just say how amazing the power of the DDA is. When I requested pixie dust this morning there was a 40% chance of showers for both Friday and Saturday and they were actually saying pretty much a wash out. I checked the forcast later this afternoon and it is still a 40% chance on Friday, but only a 20% chance on Saturday  Keep it up DDA. We have powers that even we don't understand. :grouphug: :wizard:

I am behind again trying to get caught up at work but I really need some advise. Please tell me if I am I over reacting to this:

Saturday was my birthday and Lizzie was upset that she didn't have a gift for me so I asked DH to take her to a small local bookstore when he went out to run a errand. When they came home I heard DH & Lizzie discussing a Soduko book they bought for me (I am a numbers gal so I would have really liked it). When they gave me the gifts there was a presidents sticker book from Lizzie (my DH is a history buff and he said I could do it with Lizzie and maybe I'd learn something too-nice huh?) and an early reader history book about 2 local girls who scared off the British by playing the fife and drum from Joe & Emma. I had told DH the trip was my gift so he didn't need to get me anything. I asked DH later what happened to the Soduko book and he said he couldn't find it when they were wrapping the gifts. Lizzie had taken it. It is now on her desk. I told her that she really hurt my feelings by taking a gift that was meant for me-especially when she knows what I have planned for her birthday. I'm really hurt by her but am I expecting too much from a 6 (nearly 7) year old? I'm really mad at DH for allowing her to get away with this and for allowing her to treat me like this. How can not see how bad it is for her to think this behavior is OK? Now I don't even really want to go away with her. I am considering canceling the trip and using the Southwest credit to purchase air for the family trip. I've spoken to Lizzie about it several times but she still hasn't given up the book that isn't hers. I don't think I should just take it from her. DH said he's spoken to her twice but I don't see how he ever let this happen in the first place.

Is this all just about a stupid book? I think it so much more. I just don't know what to do/how to react.

:grouphug: Bernadette and most of all :bday: !!! I would feel hurt too. If this is frequesnt behavior from Lizzie lately, then I don't think that you are overreacting in feeling hurt or upset. However, in the end I would not cancel the trip. However, I would also really sit down a talk to Lizzie about the situation and how it made you feel, maybe compared with how your surprise for her makes her feel. I would probably also make sure DH really understood why I was so upset and how he could have helped. Fom what you say he needs to work out some issues himself in how to treat those you love and set an example for your kids (this coming from one whose DH could stand to do the same in some ways). :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thank you, I am looking and asking, but so far nothing. You are more than welcome to ask your friends I would need a 12R or 14R female formal shirt. I would pay for everything and them some.
Paula,
Is this what you are looking for?

They have them here in size 12 and 14.

Oh I haven't even thought about a name for our school yet.

I didn't really need to, but when I first read Jo's Boys and Little Men I really wanted to teach like at Plumfield. Over the years it just stuck and when I was creating an email address to use for homeschooling email lists, I just decided that had to be it!

MORNING DDA!
Nothing exciting going on here. That could be why no posts in a while.

Denise - For some odd reason, I hate the dentist too. :confused3 But I do look forward to the free toothbrush at the end of my visit! Does Rees's dentist give out stickers?

Have yet to read Angels and Demons, but really liked the DaVinci Code. I didn't picture the lead at Tom Hanks though. Excited to see Paul Bettany play Silas. :thumbsup2

Plenty of :cheer2: and :grouphug: and :wizard: for everyone!

I have heard that Angels and Demons is excellent. I can't wait to get it, I have a friend that I have been doing book swaps with.

Hi MrsHeg, we have not met yet for I have been in DDA timeout. (ok, it was only a few days of being unable to get on line for long, but it feels like timeout)

Congratulations on your DD graduation.

I have a very simple recipe for summer; you could use it at the reception.

Tortellini salad

Roman lettuce (or what ever kind you like)
1 package of pre-made (fresh) chicken and herb tortellini
Croutons
Tomatoes
Ranch dressing

Cook the tortellini and then let it cool (you don’t want the salad to wilt)
Mix the room temp tortellini, tomatoes, croutons, and lettuce with a light amount of ranch and BAM! You have a great side dish or even main dish you can serve with garlic bread. Great for summer because it is not hot and is very filling.

Off to get Ellie ready for school.

This sounds delicious.

Ok DDA, I don't usually ask for PD and certainly not for trivial things like the weather, but it is looking like a washout here for Friday and Saturday which is our camping trip for 40 people. I really hope that we get a little sun, ok just not rain would be perfect. I have a campfire scheduled for Friday night complete with each den performing something for the group and of course s'mores. Saturday is packed with a mini golf tournament, orienteering challenge and fishing tournament as well as our group meal, prepared by the Webelos. I could really use all the pixie dust you can spare to pull off a weather miracle for the boys and families. Thank you so much.

I am happy to report that I am working on the last design request in my PM box! :Pinkbounc I also have the costumes altered to send to Denise and Pal Mickey is ready to head out on his vacation. He will be visiting the Figs in Atlanta :thumbsup2 So the costumes will be traveling with Pal Mickey. While getting the Zues and Hades costume out for Denise I realized that I have an absolutely adorable Pegasus costume that is a size 2T (if I remember correctly) that would be perfect for one of our little DDAers. Is anyone heading to MNSSHP and needing a Disney (homemade) costume for a little one? It is perfect for a girl or boy and I can post a picture if you'd like. I'd be happy to share.

Deb
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for good weather.

As for husband's and gifts, well, let's just say that Alan tries, but doesn't always hit homeruns. Usually he forgets my birthday until the night before. He'll run to Walmart and get some horrible bubble bath or something equally generic. I've learned that I need to put a list of what I want in his hot little hand if I want to get something I'd really like. Same with our anniversary and Mother's Day. In fact, I'll probably be shopping for my own mother's day stuff on Saturday. Oh well, he's such a good guy in other respects, that I guess I can let this slide.

My DH can never forget my birthday... we were born on the same day!
