Jennifer - I'm so sorry about your arm. I hope it isn't too painful. Congratulations again, btw.
Denise - unfortunately there is nothing I can do or say to make life easier for you, so![]()
I hope everyone is having a good day. This morning in downtown Fredericksburg we have what is called The Great Train Race. I guess it is because it starts at the train station, and it is a one mile run, sponsored by a local running club, for kids. Each age/sex has a different heat. Nicholas ran at 11:15 against all the other 6yo males. There must have been, and I'm guessing, 75 or so kids in his bracket. I found out today that this kid of mine can run. Not only did he finish the mile run but he did it in 9 minutes. I think he came in around 20th, give or take. He even surprised himself. We drove the route last night and he saw how long it was. At the end of the race there are all sorts of refreshment stands and bands playing/dancing. It was a fun morning. Then we went to the nursery and I got a bunch of hanging baskets for our front and back porches. Now our house has some color!![]()
Congrats to Nicholas! Lots of my students run the Great Train Race or the Caboose Race too. Today was perfect weather for the run too, wasn't it? Kind of cool and the rain held off until time for our concert

it's the same with my friends kids - at any age... when they're babies I sit and stare at them fascinated and when they're older I love to play with them... but I don't actually want one of my own... people always say I'm so good with kids that I'll change my mind when I'm older... which bugs me a bit because I know I won't, I just look forward to being an aunty
Glad I counted all that change last week! Oh well, I still have around 140 days to stock pile up on change again.
that you don't have an ulcer Denise, that your knee isn't hurting today Kate and that your arm/elbow heals fast Jennifer!

), and I pretended not to be grumpy.
Jo glad things are almost over with the house. Hope your ex remembers his promise of dinner.
