Nicks fever is up to 104 -

I have a call in to the doctor

thank goodness my mom is still willing to watch him tonight - am I a bad mommy still wanting to go

I did force him to take some tylenol - I told him if he didn't I was going to put the medicine in his butt - he opened his mouth right up :rotfl2:

That will almost ALWAYS do the trick!!! :rotfl:

I hope he is feeling better soon, and you are NOT a bad mommy. Go enjoy yourself, and let grandma watch him while he gets some rest!

I would call and see if they will change it - we called and questioned when this happened to me -

you should get at least one accident forgiveness!

Cute animation!!! And really?! (about the insurance) I wish I would have known that! We're back down to the "accident free discount", but there was a time that one accident KILLED our bill!

I have tears streaming down my face as I type this. Can I just tell you all how wonderful this group of women and men is? I'm a little stressed (to put it mildly). Get home from Karate, and there are 2 packages on my front porch from Jennifer (Tink2020) and Marci~! The kids open them up, and our house looks like a Disney toy store!!!!!!!!!!! Rees will take the DVDs with him to the hospital tomorrow. They already had a snack with their new goblets, and those were their first Disney pins. I told them we'd get more and trade at Disney. They love the stickers and watches, and are wearing them right now. And I have the CD in playing in my laptop.

I cannot tell you in words how deeply you both touched my heart. For people on this board to care so much about 'strangers' is just unheard of today when our world can be so uncaring and cold. My children are absolutely thrilled with their presents. So to both of you (and the rest of the DDA who DAILY show compassion, buy Crocs, Culy Wurleys, send cards, flowers, emails, calls, PMs, gift baskets to fellow DDAers) I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. For someone to care so much about my children is, indeed, the greatest act of friendship and love that you could ever show me. God bless you both and the rest of the DDA. God has already blessed me many fold by allowing me the honor of meeting you all and calling you my friends.

All my love to you all.
Way to go Jennifer and Marci! Let me second Denise's thoughts about this wonderful group. You all are amazing!

I am in tears just reading this. I am so happy to read the joy in your children.

Nick just has a virus :guilty: could last up to 5 days

poor little guy still has not moved off the couch or bed - depending on where I put him down

my mom is on her way and we are going to dinner and the show

How did people live before cell phones? Cause I know I would NOT leave him if I didn't have mine!!

Have a great night!!
I hope you can relax a little and enjoy your evening out. Try not to call home more than 10 times. ;) Try to get another dose of med in him before you leave, just to make him a little more comfortable. :wizard: to Nick. Get well soon!

I retract my status report request.

I do hope he kicks this fast.

As for cell phone (umbilical cords) I have no idea how we did it. I agree with you, if it isn’t in my pocket, then I am not going anywhere.

Bless you!

Is it dumb that even though this is an Internet class, and I don't actually see anyone, we just use a microphone link up, I am "power dressed" for this presentation? I even did my hair and makeup. It gives me confidence I think. I am wearing my Mickey Mouse earrings, and my 50th Anniversary Disneyland bracelet! Makes me happy!

I'll pop in tonight and report on how it went.

Not dumb at all! Kyle had a friend who, throughout undergrad AND medical school, wore a dress pants, dress shirt and tie to EVERY test he ever took! I on the other hand, always preferred pajamas or sweats. :rolleyes1

Whatever works for you, is PERFECT! Can't wait to hear about it.

OOhhh....like the Amazing Race, only different...

Really? I've never seen it  :duck:

If I watch (is it even on right now?) will they give me clues?

Marti-

I got interrupted as I was typing 2 hours ago so here it is a little late

I am sorry about your uncle and the headache. I can relate to the headache but all I can give is a :grouphug: for the other.

I am off to go blow out one machine and thread the other. I might need to take the sewing machine in to be lubed.

Rees goes tomorrow morning at 7:30am for his Upper Endoscopy and Bravo pH Probe test at Scottish Rite hospital in the surgery center. Rees will have General Anesthesia for the tests, so I'm not sure when we will get home tomorrow.

He has been off the Reflux meds since Wed am. After the Bravo pH probe is placed during the surgery, we will feed him the acidic diet through Sunday morning. We turn in the monitoring device either on Sunday or Monday am to get the results of the pH probe test. Once the doctor reads it, then he will decide if Rees needs to have his Fundo surgery repeated.

Thank you all for the emails, prayers, and calls. I will keep you updated on his progress.

:grouphug: :wizard:

We'll look forward to hearing from you, whenever you can get back! Give all the figs an extra hug from us!

I've been meaning to post this for a couple of days, but just can't seem to find the time. I'm taking a 5 minute break from RL to do so!

...

PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! Thank you for the reminder. I'm glad she is doing all right (well, considering) and that you are safe too!

Marti, I am so sorry about your uncle. You will be in my prayers.

Paula, I hope Bethie feels better soon and the fever goes back down tonight.

Kate, hope Nick feels better soon.

Becky, you sound so stressed out. You and I need to go out for a girl's night out and blow off some steam.

Glynis, good luck on your presentation tonight.

Paul, good luck for the new job.

Lindsay, sorry your assistant isn't up to snuff. Sending you PD for your trip to Hawaii.

To everyone else, hi!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry if I missed anyone. But y'all are in my prayers.

Probably not. They send people all over the world. Usually you have to complete a challenge or race to get the next clue, and this is repeated over and over. At the end of the episode, the couple that came in last gets booted. I don't watch it that much, but have seen it a few times.

I think we can do better than the Amazing Race!!
You're wanting clues to find the puzzle pieces right?
Does he wear/or use a certain something when you all go to the zoo? If so one can be "This article is often at the zoo with you."

You can do this for a lot of favorite things.....You drink this everyday,
When it's raining we do this, pick a favorite board game (if you have one) and hide a clue there. Lots of ideas.....my brain is on overload right now it's been a cruddy, yucky, no good day at work!!

Ok, so here was the story of my afternoon... tying in QUITE well with Kate's cell phone question.

I spoke with my friend this morning to solidify lunch plans. He said is phone is not currently working, so let's plan a specific time now and then we'll meet at the restaurant. So 2:45 it is, when he gets done with class and drives from Oxford (ohio, united states :rotfl:).

So I run some errands, and drive to Loveland. I drive up the street, looking for the restaurant. Well, thankfull I have the address, "215". So I drive back and forth again, looking at street numbers. Finally, when I don't see ANY 200's, I stop at a gas station and ask (since Rishan doesn't have a phone, and I don't have the number of the restaurant).

The guy there asks what I'm looking for, and when I tell him, he says they closed down about 6 months ago :sad2: So he asks if I'm just looking for food, I say I'm supposed to meet someone there, so can he tell me where it is anyway so I can wait (since I can't call). Apparently the entire building and lot was demolished :rotfl:

So I go and sit watch in the lot, scoping out every person that drives by. I haven't seen my friend in about 6 months, so he MAY have the same car... but I look at EVERY car, just in case. Finally, I think I see him so I follow him until he turns around somewhere so I can tell him what's going on. It's definitely not him :rolleyes1 :lmao:

He did eventually pass, I was able to chase him down (I felt like a police officer or something trying to cut him off in strip mall parking lots as he continued looking for a nonexistent restaurant) and we went somewhere else. Pretty funny, though... :teeth:

Boy, we sure have had a lot of DDA lucky enough to honeymoon at Disney. I was amazed. bethbuchall, disney newbie, bear74, rosiejo (who also got married there), my3princes, and triplefigs. You guys were lucky!!!! I didn't even get a honeymoon let alone at Disney!!!
