If my neighbors see me in anything else besides my pj's on the weekend or when I get home from work, they wonder what is going on. Most of mine are Disney so it is hard to tell the difference from them and casual

I received a PM today from Poohangel (Angela). She's 23 weeks pregnant and she's having her ultrasound tomorrow. If you have extra pixie dust and prayers/good thoughts to spare, I'm sure she'd appreciate them.

I told her to stop by and say hello when she gets a chance.

Good evening!

Chanon - I can guarantee none of the DISers were in that part of town buying a lotto ticket -

I can also guarantee that money will DRASTICALLY be changing the life of the person who won it b/c it is right on the edge of the really bad part of town and the UC college campus

Paula -

I can't believe that picture didn't soften crush's heart -

I think that might be the first time I have seen your girls - they are gorgeous!! Nick wouldn't let me scroll past the pictures!

That is funny :lmao: At least you are both in tune with each other :goodvibes

Ok, this just reminded me of a funny story. When Alan and I were first married, for Christmas that year we didn't have a lot of money, and I wanted my present to him to be something special and meaningful. His favorite movie of all time is the Sound of Music. So I bought the VHS copy, wrapped it up beautifully and displayed it under the tree. Fast forward to Christmas morning. He opens my present and begins to laugh hysterically. Handing me my present, he tells me to open it. I do, and what do I find? The exact same VHS copy of the Sound of Music. We had a good laugh about that, and it became the family joke for all my siblings.

Well, a couple of years ago, DH opened my Christmas present to him and finds the DVD copy of the Sound of Music. He screams, "NO, NO, NO." I just look at him and shake my head. "You didn't." I say. He begins to laugh. I open my present and find yet another copy of the Sound of Music on DVD.

Oh how horrible! I couldn't imagine having to cover a story like that.

A couple of years ago, he did a story about a man who was scoping out a site for deer hunting. He had his 2 year old son in the truck with him. The little boy fell asleep while they were driving to the location, so the dad decides not to wake him up. He leaves the boy in the car, and walks away to scout for about 20 minutes. By the time he gets back to the truck, the boy is gone. Search and rescue is called and they spend 4 days looking for the little guy. They finally found him, frozen to death about 5 miles away from the truck. He had walked so far, the feet of his pajamas were worn away. The father was crazy with grief. The police charged him with reckless endangerment, and he went to trial. He was found guilty, and on the day of his sentencing, he didn't show up at the court house. When he was found, he was at the spot where his son died. He'd taken his shotgun and blown his head off.

Alan was photog on that story all through the search, trial and death of the father. It was a horrible time.

Lately, though, he's got enough seniority that he can kind of pick and choose his stories. Thank heaven!

I am going to need to start bringing money in sometime soon. (other than the reserve money) I want Bethie to go to the private preschool Ellie goes to, but for some strange reason, they want money.

I am going to learn and work w/ our friend (and godmother of our kids) who is a loan officer soon to be broker. She has twins and works out of her house, which is only about 1-½ miles from my house.

So soon I will be working on learning so I can work. (that sounds weird)

This way I can have the girls in school half days and be able to go do what I would like at the school.

The other reason that I love this job so much is that we can wear casual clothing. Nice jeans, capris, sweatshirts, t-shirts (DISNEY) :cool1:
And they believe in family. When my DDIL goes into labor, no problem-- I will hear "Terry, just go, we can handle it and make sure to call us when the baby is born". :grouphug:

:wizard: Please let us know how her ultrasound goes!

Hey Everybody;

Just checking in briefly to say "Hi" !!! Sorry for all of the drama yesterday, I am not usually like that . Thanks you all so much for all of your wonderful thoughts and prayers for me and Cody.

I am feeling a little bit better than I was yesterday, but still not 100%, I don't think I have a fever anymore though.

Kyle is going to lunch and to the park w/ Dave's parents, and Carli is going to a b-day party at Build a Bear today. I really should rest but the kids really need some new summer clothes and it is SO much easier to shop without them w/ me. So I am off for some retail therapy.

Cody didn't come home yesterday, the Vet said that he was up and around and he seemed better, but there were some complications that they wanted to keep an eye on. He is coming home either today or tomorrow hopefully.

My best friend that I talked about on Friday night has seemed to have pulled a disappearing act. I haven't heard from her since I called her to ask her some questions on Friday night when we found out about Cody. She hasn't called at all this week and we had made tentative plans to get together this week while I am off. Lately she seems to never be around when I need her, she is only around when she needs me for something from me, she constantly complains, and thinks everyones lives should revolve around her.She is extremely spoiled!!! I hope you all don't think I am usually so B***** about my friends, but I am Very hurt!!! Can you tell I am aggravated??? Anyway the reason I went into all of this is because it really shows me how much you all care, and I SO appreciate it, your friendships and concern are invaluable to me!!! Thanks!!! Julie :goodvibes

Julie,
Hope you get good news on Cody.
Such a shame when you need someone the most, they disappear. Without a call. Hope things get better

It took me a while to make my gif and I might have gone overboard - so we will see if it works - thanks for the reminder Jen!!

I really don't think I could ever find the right words to post right now - just sitting here thinking of how you all have enriched my life in the past year has me in tears. I never imagined I would meet the most wonderful people in the world on the internet. Everyone of you is so important in my life and you are all a constant!! I feel lucky that I have met so many of you and that I am on my way to meeting more of you- I would love to eventually meet all of you!

Thank you all for being the best friends a girl could ever ask for!!

I love you all!!

Kate

Congratulations, Kate! :woohoo: I love your animation.

We all love you too!!

I live in Alpine, about 15 miles away from Provo. Boise is a great area! So, tell us a little bit about you.

Thank you ladies for welcoming me to the board.
I am 29 years old and I am married with a little girl, Madelyn. We took our first trip to WDW this past November and we are going again for my 30th birthday this January. I am really excited about that! We are taking my DH's mom and two of his brothers and our daughter. I wanted to make some cute t's for the trip and possibly make some "online" buddies here on this thread. Everyone seems so supportive of one another! I love it! Anyways, I hope that you all have a nice evening! :goodvibes

Paula, your girls are adorable and tell them thank you for trying to persuade the pumpkinnapper!

Your bday is 2 days after mine!

I'm such an idiot.

Today Bob had to borrow my car while his is in the shop so he could go to choir. So after work, I unloaded the car, took things out of my car, a friend called on my cell, I put things on the car, got the mail, went in house, talked to friend while cleaning the house, and Bob left for choir.
I left stuff on the car. Yes, that is "on" you're reading.
Didn't realize it until I couldn't find my paperwork from work.
My planner and Disney schedule is gone.
I found half of my Disney schedule two miles up the road, which I could care less about. I wanted to find my planner.
I guess I'll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Hi, all. Feeling much better today and happy. About to go give the kids a bath and then the boys have Karate.

I have pot-luck at school tomorrow. Any suggestions for a yummy and EASY recipe I could make? I'd like to take something along the lines of side dish/main dish. We always have so many desserts and nothing substantial to eat. But I mean EASY!!!!!!!!

My kids all loved this and I would make it to take to pot-luck dinners or that was my meal to take to anyone in the neighborhood --home from childbirth, accident or anything else

Mexican Casserole

1 lb. Ground Beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 small onion chopped
1 can Kidney Beans
16 oz. can tomatos
large bag Nacho Cheese Doritos
Colby or Montery Jack Cheese

Brown meat with chopped onion, add taco seasoning and juice from canned tomatos and simmer 5-10 min. In shallow casserole dish, layer the beef mixture, Doritos, beans and cheese and keep layering until all used. Make sure the top layer is beef mixture then the cheese.
Bake 15-20 minutes at 375
