Hey Everybody;

Just checking in briefly to say "Hi" !!! Sorry for all of the drama yesterday, I am not usually like that . Thanks you all so much for all of your wonderful thoughts and prayers for me and Cody.

I am feeling a little bit better than I was yesterday, but still not 100%, I don't think I have a fever anymore though.

Kyle is going to lunch and to the park w/ Dave's parents, and Carli is going to a b-day party at Build a Bear today. I really should rest but the kids really need some new summer clothes and it is SO much easier to shop without them w/ me. So I am off for some retail therapy.

Cody didn't come home yesterday, the Vet said that he was up and around and he seemed better, but there were some complications that they wanted to keep an eye on. He is coming home either today or tomorrow hopefully.

My best friend that I talked about on Friday night has seemed to have pulled a disappearing act. I haven't heard from her since I called her to ask her some questions on Friday night when we found out about Cody. She hasn't called at all this week and we had made tentative plans to get together this week while I am off. Lately she seems to never be around when I need her, she is only around when she needs me for something from me, she constantly complains, and thinks everyones lives should revolve around her.She is extremely spoiled!!! I hope you all don't think I am usually so B***** about my friends, but I am Very hurt!!! Can you tell I am aggravated??? Anyway the reason I went into all of this is because it really shows me how much you all care, and I SO appreciate it, your friendships and concern are invaluable to me!!! Thanks!!! Julie :goodvibes

Julie - I hope the retail therapy works for you! I LOVE shopping without my kids. Unfortunately, my oldest is growing so fast, I just don't dare do any buying for her without her there to try things on. Oh well, it means that she and I get to have some special mom and me time. She loves that, and I know that the day will come when she doesn't want to hang out with me anymore. So, I treasure them, too.

I'm sorry your friend is not there for you! It's hard when you count on someone to have them pull a disappearing act. Take care, and know that we will always be here for you!

:grouphug: to all the great DDAer's out there. What a great group we have.
pixiedust: to everyone that needs it. Especially Denise.
What's up with this Crush thing? Tammy needs her pumpkin back. :lmao:

Beth, I will make a deal with you.
I will, if you will..... get off my duff and drop some weight.

Say it out loud! I will! I will! I WILL!!!!

Now, today we start a new day, list EVERY THING and be happy with even the little progress!!

Later I will post pics of before and after and if I need to pm you all the time.... I WILL.

Glynis chime in anytime.

Beth we will make this happen!!!

Okay, now a big hug, a few tears (yes I am crying a bit) and we are going for it!

You should all come over to the Weight Loss Accountability Thread and join us there. We have quite a few people that we are supporting and encouraging. It's really helpful!

:wave2:  Hello to some of the new folk here! :welcome:

I have nothing to say to Crush...except I have no idea on what you're going to do with a pumpkin.
Turtles don't eat pumpkin pie.
The National Aquarium in the UK states that "different species have different diets. The leatherback feeds only on jelly fish, the hawksbill only on sponges, the loggerhead feeds on a selection of bottom-dwelling invertebrates and kemps ridley turtles have a preference for crabs. The green turtle is thought to be omnivorous but largely herbivorous, feeding mainly on seagrasses and algae."
(Did you know that some turtles actually breath through their behinds? :rotfl: I hope that's not you Crush!) Besides, look at those two precious children begging for the pumpkin back....You can't disappoint your fans!!!

To everyone else forgive me for not taking notes. It was a  day at work and my notes got scribbled over when clients sat down at my desk. So for those that need it :grouphug:  and :cheer2:

It took me a while to make my gif and I might have gone overboard - so we will see if it works - thanks for the reminder Jen!!

I really don't think I could ever find the right words to post right now - just sitting here thinking of how you all have enriched my life in the past year has me in tears. I never imagined I would meet the most wonderful people in the world on the internet. Everyone of you is so important in my life and you are all a constant!! I feel lucky that I have met so many of you and that I am on my way to meeting more of you- I would love to eventually meet all of you!

Thank you all for being the best friends a girl could ever ask for!!

I love you all!!

Kate

Congratulations on 7000. Everything you said is right on target for me as well.

Here's to the next 7000.

For all you DDA's ... what kind of software do you use to design with? I want to design my little girl and the rest of us some cute t's to wear on our next trip to WDW! Thanks tons! Have a nice night, ladies! :goodvibes

I guess the plea from my girls didn’t even work.

Don't forget the little turtle from Robin Hood.

That is too funny! :rotfl: At least you are on the same page! :)

Maybe we've been together too long? NAH! I'll keep him around.

Needless to say, there are very few surprises for either of us, now. We conference on all our gift getting. I told Alan it was like we were living some alternate ending of O. Henry's "Gift of the Magi."

Sorry I can't help with the software question. I don't design myself, but I proudly wear the designs others make.

I just wanted to welcome you to the board! It's a great group, and you're just going to love it here.

Where in Idaho are you? I'm in Utah, so it's nice to see another DDA member close to me.

I received a PM today from Poohangel (Angela). She's 23 weeks pregnant and she's having her ultrasound tomorrow. If you have extra pixie dust and prayers/good thoughts to spare, I'm sure she'd appreciate them.

I told her to stop by and say hello when she gets a chance.

Good morning, DDA. I'd be grateful for PD and prayers for my Aunt. This is my Aunt Dot, and she is my dad's sister. Most of my family lives in a family complex -- land bought by my grandfather many years ago that is in the city limits, but has a tank and cows on it. Anyway, I'm very close to Aunt Dot. We found out yesterday that she needs surgery tomorrow morning for her Carotid artery. It's 75 - 95% blocked, and they can't use a stent -- need to go in and clean it out. It will be a couple of hours for the surgery, then ICU (she's 75) and then home after a couple of days.

I've seen what has happened when the DDA puts it's collective power behind something, so I'd be grateful for your prayers.

:wizard: and :grouphug: for Aunt Dot.

What I saw in the car was enough to lead me believe it was his wife - who I now know was out of town - but you are right - it could have been a friendly kiss he was giving his co-worker for driving him home from work

yeah yeah, keep on believing that!!! :teeth:

Denise, hope you had a better day today and the figs are doing good, as usual I have tons of posts to catch up on

Good for you! I am not rejoining Weight Watchers for the moment. I know what I need to do, so I am going to try to do it with the support of family (RL and DDA). I really could use that weekly fee money in other areas. BUT feel free to tell me to get my butt back to meetings if I start goofing off.

My goal range was 109-132. I was within 10 pounds but just couldn't quite get there. Man, I should have been happy! :goodvibes

Beth

Beth, I love WW. It works so well (when I follow it :rotfl: ) Anyway, if you need a buddy to be accountable to, I'll volunteer. :teeth:
