Paula -- I love seeing regular pictures of your girls. They are just so cute!

Good luck with the house and everything you have to do and enjoy your weekend!

Paula - the girls look so cute - and Bethie looks like she feels better. Hope you get your house together and have a good time with DH.

And I'm proud of you that you didn't staple anyone!!

I need help!!

The girls birthday is on Mother's Day and usually I have birthday presents done and out of the way. I have Cassidy's all done this year (purse and becoming part of our cell phone plan). But Abi is another story!! All I could get out of her last night is that she didn't want clothes.
SOOOOOOOO......I need to find a really cool present for a 10 year old. HELP!!!
All the youngsters around here are into the ipods, but of course that is quite expensive.

 Hi!
Trying to check in and don't have the time I desperately want to get caught up! :(
Can someone PLEASE give me the reader digest of what has happened around here in the last week? Do we know who all the Alter Ego are? What about Tammi's pumpkin? Has Paula told us what her secret is yet? How are all the kids- esp. Rees?
Thanks!! I miss you guys!!!!
K:)

Paula -

You are so silly....but I love it.:teeth:

It's time to celebrate
we're a nurse and a doc
you'll need me to hear
the heart tick tock

Under the bed
After a long day at work
you'll go here to sleep
as long as things are calm
and your pager doesn't beep

Coffee Pot
You had a late nite
and need some caffeine
to start your morning right
brewed fresh from the bean

Lingerie drawer
You saw a cute nurse
on the neurology floor
grab me something sexy to wear
and shut the door!!

Those are darling, Kate! I think they're perfect!

AMAZING - I cry every time I see it - this was #4 - it is so interesting how your prespective changes over the years!! (okay I am really tired is perspective even a word - it just seems wonky to me!!)

I think you are totally right! I've seen it 4 times as well. The first 2 were before I was married, the third just after I was married, and the last time was after I had Jacob. It's amazing the different things you get out of the show depending on where you are in your life. It hit me differently as a mother than it did as a single woman, or even as a newlywed. That is a powerful show!

Colby had another guardian angel on duty today. We have a slide in our back yard that comes out of the top of their "tree House". It is about 15 feet tall. Colby was going down it today and about 1/2 way down fell off the side. I was in the house and heard him scream/cry. I'm guessing that he fell about 6 feet and according to him he landed on his head. Judging by the dirt on his shoulder I think that may have taken the brunt of the fall. He complained of his head hurting for at least 1/2 an hour and he wanted me to lay down and go to sleep with him. I kept him awake and his pupils were equal and reactive, he was able to move everything and visually seemed ok. I got the impression that he was more scared than anything. He wants us to take the slide down now, and it might be a good idea until he is older and able to better control himself. As a treat I had planned to take him to work with me this afternnoon for about 45 minutes until Chris got out of work and could pick him up as he can't go to my parents house with the Whopping Cough. I was glad to have him with me as I could keep an eye on him. He absolutely loved working with me and kept calling himself my helper. He did not want to leave and the customers really enjoyed having him seat them. He also said that he was all better before he left. Chris said that he acted completely normal tonight. I plan to wake him before I go to sleep just to make sure that he can be awakened easily and give me a little peace of mind. So there is my unfortunate story for today, but I'm thankful that all seems to be ok.

Deb

Oh Deb! How scary for Colby and for you! I'm so glad that he is ok. I'm trusting that as I read further I'll find out he's back to normal today!

Hi, all. We got home around 2pm. Kate's post sums it all up. Endoscopy looked good, and we'll get the biopsy results back on Tuesday. He's doing the pH probe now. So far, so good. He'll do the test and diet through Sunday afternoon. I'll try to be back later.

Thanks for all the well wishes, prayers, and PMs!

My house threw up on itself and DH  comes home tonight for two nights (yeah!). Along with the fact that I have a bur up my ___ (the area the sun does not shine), because I weighed in this morning only to find I did not gain or loose ANYTHING!!! So that made me a bit misaligned. :guilty: Then I went to Joann’s fabrics to get some stuff for one of my SSP and they wouldn’t take my coupon because the item was already on sale. (this is the first time that has happened; usually they take the item back to full price and then give you the coupon) AND the lady behind me tried to cut in front of me in line.

So I went to the donut shop and bought Elizabeth and I a donut, I also stopped a t Starbucks for a hazelnut latte and then home to the house that threw up all over it’s self.

I started more laundry (why? I have no idea. I must be rather brainless

to add more.) And the dishwasher is running. I am off to get Gabrielle at school then clean up this house.

So I have one last thing to say.

Thank you, I feel better now.

You've had a sick child, don't worry about your house. Take a deep breath and take it one thing at a time. Just enjoy your dh while he's home, you can catch up next week. Have a nice weekend.

Since it was a university course, I read Beowulf in Olde English. Couldn't figure out what was going on. Maybe the translation would improve the story.

I grew up in Northern California, and my parents and I went to the Ashland, OR Shakespeare Festival every year throughout my junior high, high school and into college (until my parents divorced) years. We saw 3 plays per day for several days and were on :cloud9: They have a reproduction of the Old Globe Theatre that is wonderful, and they perform Shakespeare under the stars. It is glorious. They also perform Shakespeare at one of their indoor theatres, often with other period costumes, giving the work new undertones.

Imagine Merry Wives of Windsor in 1900s dress, with suffragettes picketing for the vote. Brilliant!!

Now that my mom is back living in NorCal, we are talking about getting tickets to Ashland again. How I've missed it!!

Jennifer

I love Ashland! I used to go every year! Since you live in No. Cal, you ought to check out my dad's Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, UT. They are very similar to Ashland. In fact, my dad worked with Angus Bowmer, founder of the Ashland festival, to get the USF up and running. Let me know if you want a brochure or anything. It would be easy for you to get there!

I meant to post this last night, then again this morning, but RL stepped it up of course. I got a package in the mail from Vicki yesterday, well actually Pal Mickey got a package. It is amazing. She put so much stuff together and it is truly amazing. I don't want to give too much away so you'll have to wait until you receive a Pal for a visit. This is turning into such a fun project.

The song Bring him Home is much more powerful as a parent than when I was 17!

Thanks. I'm calling the professor now, to set up a time to record the presentation. If that fails, I'll email him everything I have. That will just have to do. He's pretty understanding.

By the way, I just realized you are in TX. In another post, I think I said something about you living in No. Cal, and then realized that was your mom, so ignore what I said in that post, if you want. Oops!
