The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

This could (could) be my last post until Sunday.

I am just about done w/ laundry. You are asking why it takes me so long? One I have great odium (that was a fun word) for it, two, I have issues. Issue? Yes, issues. I have to put the girls outfits together and hang them up so they can pick what they wan to wear. This takes more time because you have to find matching pant/shorts and shirts then put them on the hanger. DH thinks I’m crazy, but it works for the girls and make life easier in the mornings when they want to “pick” what they wear.

I have to change the sheets on the bed and then I am going to watch soap operas and eat bon bons the rest of the day. (I think I just had a daydream about bon bons)

I did however have a little break from laundry when Bethie put fecal matter :scared1: on the cement. Yes, I was washing a swim suite, cement and a little girl. Oh the joys of being a mother. Did I say the girls have been outside playing in the wading pool? They were, not anymore.

Kate – thank you for the update on Rees.
I hope Nick feels better soon.
I am happy that you get to go on a cruise.

Glynis – WTG on the presentation!

Tia-- have a good time w/ your BIL.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSSA!!!!

Julie- good to see you, good luck with the First Communion. Sorry to hear you had to cnx the trip w/ the DDA. I hope Cody’ gets better soon.

Chanon – thank you for the funnies.

600!!!!! WTG!!!

Baloo – my creative brain has taken a break, but if I think of something I will let you know.

Kristin – I have not reveled any of the SSP’s at this time, but I will take pictures for you next week after DH leaves. (can’t interrupt ODTT, oh wait, did you al tell me it only takes 15 minutes?)

Jennifer (moombeams)- where in N. Cal are you parents? I am 30 minutes from Napa and 45-60 from Sacramento.

I would like to let you al know my house is now a safe haven for staples. No staples will be misused in this house again.

Have a fabulous night and a wonderful weekend!

Hope your weekend goes as smoothly as possible. :grouphug: to Rees!

Hi, all. We got home around 2pm. Kate's post sums it all up. Endoscopy looked good, and we'll get the biopsy results back on Tuesday. He's doing the pH probe now. So far, so good. He'll do the test and diet through Sunday afternoon. I'll try to be back later.

Thanks for all the well wishes, prayers, and PMs!

Yeah! :cool1:

500!!

I have a whole bunch of posts to catch up on, but I wanted to post this.

I finally made it to 500! With working all day and not being allowed to play on the computer (work related only), I only get evenings to read and occasionally chat with all of you. It has been the most fun, and only took almost a year to get here!

Thanks all for being here.

For all the DDA, your family and friends.

Quick updat on my family...

Mom goes for her second chemo treatmeant on 5/3 and her brother who was dx with cancer about 2 weeks after my dad, its just a matter of time.

Finally finished catch up. I can't remember all, but here goes:

Glynis - congratulations on having the presentation over.
Paula - I'm glad you decided to give staples a break.
Denise - prayers for everything good for Rees.
Kate - awesome clues. Is there anything you're not good at? Hope Nick is better.
Julie - sorry about the trip. I had to cancel on plans to go to the DC meet because I decided to go to Disney for free dining.
Elin - how nice that the kids pay attention and that they want to greet you.

Where's Amy today?

I have a prayer request for all of you, I found out that my sister-in-law has colon cancer, liver cancer and ovarian cancer. She will have to have a very aggresive treatment.

Just a quick post.

Marti, Sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope the migraine is gone. :grouphug:

Paula, Sorry Bethie had you upset last night. I tend to get scared over fevers as well. Hope she is feeling better soon. :wizard:

Kate, Sorry to hear about Nick being sick. Enjoy your night out. And :wizard: for your knee. Love the new signatures.

Denise, :wizard: for Rees tomorrow. He sure is a trooper. I am sure that it helps having you as a mom. Great job!

Becky, :grouphug: Sorry life hasn't been a lot of fun. Take care of yourself. You have to remember that you come first.

I am sure I missed more so :wizard: :cheer2: :grouphug:.

I have been extremely busy getting ready for my trip to Reno next week. I have been in and out running errands, doctor appointment's. This weekend doesn't seem to be any slower either as Emma has soccer practice Friday eve, a game Saturday morning, then a birthday party, and she is singing in church on Sunday so we have to be at 2 services. I also have to pack and get a schedule together for DH for the week. He will be lost without one. He says he will have no problem, but I really believe that he thinks I don't do a whole lot during the day other than entertain Molly. He really is good with the girls, but I am the one who keeps it together so to speak. And even though he is off from work, since he has the capability to work from home, he won't get a moments rest.

Then today one of the little boys, Ty, I babysit for, he is my DH's coworkers grandson, ended up in the hospital. He is 19 months and the info that I have gotten is that he has strep infection, I believe this is what I was told, of the skin. They are waiting for the results to come back tomorrow. It is in his scrotum and has spread to his testicles. The doctor's lanced the sore and he is being kept overnight. The grandmother said he is in so much pain, his left leg is so swollen and every time they change his diaper they have to change the bandage on the wound. So I am sure that is causing major trauma. And to top it off Ty's mom is 9months pregnant. She is scheduled for a C-section May 9th but has been having contractions and is already 1 and half cm dilated. Hopefully this situation with Ty will clear up quick and not cause a lot of stress on her. We are very close with the family so it is really upsetting. Emma is very upset and keeps asking me if Ty is going to die. I have done the best I can to explain what I know and that the Dr's are trying their best to make him better. She is very emotional and easily stressed out about things. So any prayers or pixie dust would be greatly appreciated for them.

Sorry for the long post, but thanks for listening. I will try to keep up but can't make promises. I may or may not have Internet access next week.
:wizard: I can't imagine what the mother is going through seeing her little one suffer like that. Prayers for the little dear and his family.

The song Bring him Home is much more powerful as a parent than when I was 17!

This is too weird... Just this afternoon I was helping a student pick out a song to use for the end-of-the-year recital and told him all about "Bring Him Home" and the meaning of it. It would be perfect for his voice and he is capable enough to accompany himself as he sings. He didn't "get it" but did agree to try it out this week. :goodvibes

Well, the computer gods were obviously not listening to you.

I got all set up to do my presentation, and was taking notes on the other student who was presenting, when all of a sudden my computer shuts down. Completely. It wasn't the electricity, because the lights stayed on and the TV in the other room was on; just the computer. I panic, turn the computer back on and, as fast as my fingers can, I log back on to the University site. I calm down as I realize the other student is still presenting, so I take a couple of deep breaths, and....yup, you guessed it, the computer shut down again. I repeat the above steps, with an added emphasis on panicking, get all set up again, and the computer shuts down again.

This time, I know I'm missing my turn to present, so I grab my cell phone, and call the professor. He's understanding, and agrees to help me record my presentation tomorrow so he can put it on the Discussion site, and I won't be out any grade, since it's not my problem.

Let's just say it's not the way I wanted it to go, but oh well! Life goes on, right! Someday I'll laugh about it. Well, I'll probably laugh about it tomorrow morning, but right now, I'm just flummoxed! :confused3
Sorry to hear about your computer acting up. I would have been a basketcase. Good thing your professor understood. :)
