8:45 central time, and I see the Dr. right after. I've waited over an hour to see him before, so who knows what time I'll get out of there.

Oh good - since you have my cell phone number - that will give you plenty of time to call me between the ultrasound and the doctor's appointment!! :thumbsup2

Nanette,

:welcome: to the DDA and come out to play. I am also a Girl Scout leader, I have a brownie troop. Have fun planning your GS trip to WDW.

I am doing OK, Tammi... thanks. Welcome home, by the way. I am glad you had such a great trip to visit your parents.

We are leaving Wednesday night or Thursday for PA. My sister and BIL are already there and are taking care of the few arrangements that need attention. My brother and his family are driving from Boston and will arrive late Wednesday night. The viewings are scheduled for Thursday evening and Friday morning, with the funeral set for early Friday afternoon.

I am actually teaching my classes through Wednesday. My Mom was an elementary school librarian and a teacher and I can remember her coming to visit me in one of my first classrooms and saying to me, "You picked the best job in the world for yourself. I am so proud of you." I decided she would want me to continue doing this as long as I could this week so the kids don't miss their lessons and so I have something I love to keep my busy.

I cannot think of anything that you can do right now. I was able to get White Oak Animal Hospital to take Button a day early. They had no runs or cages available, but they are going to accommodate us anyway. I am guessing that Button will be in the clinic for Thursday and then moved to a run on Friday as we had orginially scheduled. We won't have to worry about her getting her meds and the attention she needs now either.

I have had such beautiful overwhelming response from my DDA family that I am beyond words. Thanks to everyone for the PMs and posts. They mean the world to me.

Jen and Amy - good luck with the house situation you both find yourselves in.
Julie - good luck with Cody
Dawn - good luck with the ultrasound tomorrow

If I have forgotten anyone, please forgive me. Night all...
:grouphug: Elin. You and your family are still in my prayers.

I know I've made lots of comments about finding out the sex of the baby, but if y'all could spare a prayer tonight that the baby looks healthy and everything appears normal, I'd appreciate it.

Dawn, sending you lots of prayers for a healthy baby tomorrow. I'm so excited for you!

Hi Everybody;

We had such a good time at the museum today, the kids are still talking about it!!!! We just got back from dinner at Longhorn, Carli picked that for her B-day dinner, she likes it because of their crazy B-day song they sing to you!!! I think she had a great 6th birthday, we have been running around all day. She just opened her gifts from us, we gave her a sky dancer, a few Polly pockets, 2 phonics computer games, and indoor outdoor hopscotch game, a cupcake doll and tea party set, and some miniature Kim Possible dolls. We are also getting her a new bike in the next few days, I also think that a new hamster will be in our future since she is SO attached to the one we are "babysitting.

I have been very sad about my baby turning 6, I feel like she is really not my baby anymore. Last night as we were coming home from Easter at Dave's aunt's house we were talking about the day she was born. She was asking questions like was I tiny, were you happy, etc. etc... I told her it was one of the 2 best days of my life, and I just started crying, which really is not like me. Anyway as I'm crying Dave says "look what you made mommy do, she crying because she doesn't want her baby to grow up" jokingly, and she said she wanted to stay little too. As we are having this last discussion, I hear on the radio the opening of the song Sweet Caroline", this is Carli's song, she is named after this song, we always sing this song to her!!! It was the coolest thing ever!!! We turned up the song and all sang to our little Caroline, and she was just grinning away!!! It made me stop crying!!!

So to my Sweet Caroline Grace~ Happy Sixth Birthday!!!! I Love You!!!!

That is so sweet, Happy Birthday Carli!!!!!  :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks everyone!
i hope everything and everyone here is going good...i wont even attempt to catch up!!!!
Kate-ill have to think about what i want in this sig...decisions, decisions :)

I haven't played with our little turtle 'speedy' since all this turtle talk started, he is so cute except I cannot look at him the same way but I don't think the kids will go with getting rid of him!!!

Don't neglect the turtle, Julia. That is cruel and unusual punishment. And you know what men say, if you don't play with the turtle it will die. ;)

What a sweet story. Make sure to print this for her to read when she's 16. And Happy B'day, Carli. Our kids are only 2 months apart in age. How old is your son?

He will be 8 on July 2nd, although they are so close in size that most people that meet them think they are twins!!!

Jen -I am so sorry about the house - but things really will fall into place!! We were ready to sign on the dotted line when DH changed his mind with our first house - I was LIVID - things worked out though - and for the better!!!

The cupcakes and a side dish would be awesome - Amy and Julie are bringing cole slaw and pasta salad - what about another side dish?

I have a delicious recipe for Calico Beans (kind of like Baked Beans with hamburger and bacon in it). It always gets rave reviews.

She better not!!!!!!!!!

I told her months ago she'd be one of the first outside of my family to know, particularly if it does turn out to be a girl.

Elin,

You remain in my prayers. What a lovely sentiment you wrote about your mom. I'm sure she was and still is very proud of the woman you are today. Safe travels and know that I will keep you in my prayers this week. Hugs to you.

Amy, sorry the deal fell through with your friend over your house.

Tammi, welcome home! Glad you had a good trip to see your family.

Babytrees, that is awesome about Abi singing at the game. Very impressive!

Hi, Jen (Blueeyes). Good to see you. Sorry about your friend. I hope you have a good vacation.
