Kate -- love the new signature you did for June.

Amy, Kate and Julie -- cute pictures of all of you. Amy, you don't look pregnant. You mentioned that you are really watching your weight gain this time so you wouldn't gain as much, and you are doing a fantastic job!

Jennifer -- I TOTALLY understand the whole plan, how long it took you to decide all of it, and how quickly a melt-down occurs when it falls apart. (Although I thought your vent was nothing compared to some I've had on here....) You've worked hard with all your plans and shouldn't feel bad that it made you frustrated and upset. Our pastor was saying on Sunday how nice it is to have friends to go to in the good times AND the bad, and I immediately thought of my DDA friends.

Too funny I would have thought they would have allowed the fence after seeing that - the neighbours should be begging for the fence!!!

I know I've made lots of comments about finding out the sex of the baby, but if y'all could spare a prayer tonight that the baby looks healthy and everything appears normal, I'd appreciate it.

From what I've read, the one guy who is complaining about the toilets is the ONE guy who was against the fence in the first place. Go figure!

So Baloo came through, and explained as such:
"Well the babies come from bees pollinating the flowers and here's the proof!

"Does Amy even know to STAY AWAY FROM THE BEES ????????? She musta got stung in the stomache... that is where it swells up.. poor Amy "

And Amy's response:
"It's so freakin cold in Cincinnati, I think all the bees died a while ago though."



So I'm not sure we ever figured out HOW it happened to Amy. I think it was something about a turtle......

Which reminds me. On our front porch we have a turtle garden figure. When we got home from the vet, all I see is this little turtle looking at me and all I can do is laugh. I will never look at it the same way again, in fact, I might have to find new home for him.

I haven't played with our little turtle 'speedy' since all this turtle talk started, he is so cute except I cannot look at him the same way but I don't think the kids will go with getting rid of him!!!

The cupcakes and a side dish would be awesome - Amy and Julie are bringing cole slaw and pasta salad - what about another side dish?

Ohhhhh!! dear....that sounds painful. We are Colorado Rockies fans here...Todd Helton is my favorite player. The team is so young it is often called Todd and the toddlers!!

While we are on baseballl....I am sneaky .....Abi will be singing(with her school's choir) America the Beautiful before the Rockies game tomorrow night! She got a special invitation as she is not in choir this semester. I sang in a choir last year the anthem but I think I am more excited about Abi singing at a baseball game!!

Way to go Abi.

I am doing OK, Tammi... thanks. Welcome home, by the way. I am glad you had such a great trip to visit your parents.

We are leaving Wednesday night or Thursday for PA. My sister and BIL are already there and are taking care of the few arrangements that need attention. My brother and his family are driving from Boston and will arrive late Wednesday night. The viewings are scheduled for Thursday evening and Friday morning, with the funeral set for early Friday afternoon.

I am actually teaching my classes through Wednesday. My Mom was an elementary school librarian and a teacher and I can remember her coming to visit me in one of my first classrooms and saying to me, "You picked the best job in the world for yourself. I am so proud of you." I decided she would want me to continue doing this as long as I could this week so the kids don't miss their lessons and so I have something I love to keep my busy.

I cannot think of anything that you can do right now. I was able to get White Oak Animal Hospital to take Button a day early. They had no runs or cages available, but they are going to accommodate us anyway. I am guessing that Button will be in the clinic for Thursday and then moved to a run on Friday as we had orginially scheduled. We won't have to worry about her getting her meds and the attention she needs now either.

I have had such beautiful overwhelming response from my DDA family that I am beyond words. Thanks to everyone for the PMs and posts. They mean the world to me.
