I wish that I had the words to say or that I could do something for you - please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything at all that we can do for you that you let us know!!!!

I was thinking about you today - we were at the park and a woman was there with her 4 yo DS and 2 month old BBG triplets (they might not have even been that old!!) They were adorable and we were oohing and aahing over them - and my mom said to her "They are beautiful and you are so blessed" I knew you would be proud of her response!! I told her that I knew that she was in for a lot of fun and she said that's what she hears - I think she might still be in a shell shocked stage!! She said everyone says the first year is the hardest but she is a little nervous for when they are all toddlers running crazy around her house - we told her she seemed to be doing great and that we were impressed they had all made it to the park!!!

Thanks, and your mom said the PERFECT thing to her!

DDA, I could use some serious prayers for Rees (and me) please. Here's some background so you'll understand the seriousness of this issue.

...

Oh Denise, I'm so sorry to hear this is happening. You all are always in my prayers, but I will add this specifically. Keep us posted, and let us know if we can do ANYTHING for you, John or the kids.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! :goodvibes I have to apologize that I have not read through the 1,000+ pages , so I don't know the "history" that you all share. But I do look forward to posting more frequently and getting to know each of you better. You seem like such a caring, generous (and I can't forget TALENTED) bunch!!! ::yes::
Blessings, Shana

Welcome! Just jump in where you are :)

Kate,

I was going through your design gallery and I love this design.

Isn't that cute - it is going on tote bags for their wedding - I didn't do much but add the words in - I found the old clipart and we decided it was the PERFECT image!!

Those will be adorable beach bags. What a neat idea.

Denise, I hope in the morning you've had a completely uneventful, restful night and Rees is feeling 100%.

We live only 5 hours from Atlanta, so if you need anything, drop me an email at goldilox25@yahoo.com and we'll pop the kids in the car and head on over. Even if all you need is someone to pick up fast food for your family. I'm there.

It's gut-wrenching to hear about the pain your poor baby is in, and the pain you and your husband are enduring witnessing it. What a nightmare. I'm praying for you all. God bless.

My firstborn son is going to be 4 tomorrow. Wow! Where has the time gone?! For his birthday we're just going to do cake and ice cream with the family, but this weekened we're taking him to the park in a neighboring town that has a kiddie train, kiddie roller coaster and a merry-go-round. (This is their website.) We plan on spending the day there. Tonight we took the family out for a pre-birthday dinner at a nice new Mexican restaurant.

This is my boy riding on the train last year (the date's wrong on the photo!)

Oh you all are putting me to shame!!!! If I can get my windows cleaned, inside and out, this spring, I will be happy.

Speaking of being emotionally attached to things.....what do you all do with the items/projects/papers that your kids bring home from school? I have done a binder with everything for Nicholas' first 2 years of preschool, but in Kindergarten I have collected so much more stuff. It is probably stacked a foot and a half high. I love having his writing samples, pictures he's colored, etc. throughout the year and I thought it would be something nice to look back on. I just need to figure out what I can eliminate and what is a must keep.

Tammi - could you buy a small trunk or a crate and collect them in there? I kept loads of my school stuff from when I was in high school, over the years I've pared them right back but I still have a few things that make me laugh to read them, like english stories, science projects and my maths paper that got me 99%!! My parents didn't keep any of my K stuff but I'd have liked to have seen some of that too :goodvibes

Hi. I feel pretty silly lamenting about this, with the more serious problems we all face, but I figured you might be wondering where I've been all day, so here goes:

We lost one of our cats today. We noticed Mickey was acting a bit odd on Saturday, but it was easy to assume he was at odds with Lucy, the other cat. (Lucy is the alpha cat and she typically puts him in his place.) Yesterday, we noticed he was walking funny, so I made him a vet appointment today for when Kevin got home from work, so someone could stay home with Alyssa. Well, when Alyssa and I got back from getting her pictures taken this morning, Mickey couldn't even walk, so I begged Kevin to come home early and I rushed him to the vet. He had a bladder infection and though he survived the process of unblocking him, his heart gave out after the procedure. I feel terrible. He was only seven. And Alyssa keeps asking where he is. :guilty:

Amy

Amy I'm so sorry to hear about Mickey - you must be devastated, I know I would be if anything happened to my two - they are afterall my surrogate children! Here's some :wizard: and :grouphug: to all of you, and for Lucy, because she will miss him a lot too :grouphug:

Ok, now I'm beginning to think I've went 'round the bend (as one of my elder relatives used to say) but I'm going to tell you my idea anyway. One of you, don't remember who, commented that it would be cool to have a DDA Pal Mickey similar to Flat Stanley. It got me thinking. I am probably not going to get a chance to meet most of my DDA friends in person, so I was thinking about having Mickey travel around and meet you instead. You'd be responsible to take pictures, sign his passport, get him a souvenir and ship him on to the next person. I'd provide the money for the souvenirs, pictures (unless you have digital) and shipping. He is going on the DDA trip, Japan at the end of June and WDW with me in December.

If I can't meet you all, at least something that belongs to me can share in your lives for a little while. I'd add to his website with where he's been and post pictures.

Is this totally nuts?
That's a really cool idea - I could show him the sights of sunny Bristol, England... although it might cost an absolute fortune to ship him over and back... I'd love to do it though :goodvibes
