Sorry Kristine.....I looked at 2 Payless stores and no multil swirls at all. They had green/yellow and orange/yellow, and black and blue solid colors. They didn't have any for children either. I will prob. go out tomorrow and look some more.

thanks for looking...I have a feeling that the multi color one isn't available at any of the stores right now

Where do you get it from? Will they come north too? Or west if we move to Berlin? Do they have organic? I'm liking the sound of this!

I couldn't get their website to work. They are Hornstra Farms and they say they "bring quality products to the South Shore" so I'm guessing not. But I think there are other delivery companies out there. We really LOVE the convenience. It used to be a fare amount extra over the grocery store but when milk prices went way up ours didn't so it is only a bit more now.

Kristine-you may want to consider AP with Disney Dining Experience discount. With concierge you'll get appetizers and desserts. The DDE gives you 20% off most table service including drinks. No guarantee on a discount for the room though-especially the popular concierge rooms. I was in the window with no discounts last Oct but I had booked with AAA and we already had the AP's from our Oct 04 trip. Good luck deciding!

OHHHH so we're talking frozen custard here...now you've got my attention. In St. Louis it's Ted Drewes all the way!! So good and like Kate's place 10 windows can be open with lines 10 people deep all summer long, rain or shine. The traffice gets so crazy on weekends that there are a couple of police officers on hand to keep things moving. Their "thing" is that you can turn it upside down it's so thick.

I'm not sure if the place Kate is talking has custard or not.

The place I am talking has frozen custard, Hershey's hard hand dipped ice cream, slush puppies, and other frozen treats. Inside the big building they also have soups and sandwiches, chicken nuggets and other food items.

I love custard, Rita's Water Ice also sells custard, they also mix it with your water ice. It is so yummy. Custard is like soft serve ice cream but it is thicker and creamier and IMO tastes so much better.

In college I went to Milwaukee with a pep band. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin the have this Awesome place called the Pizza Shuttle they sell pizza, sandwiches, beer, calzones, and custard. They make a different flavors of homemade custard every day. The real kicker is they deliver it. Yep they deliver custard to wherever you are at. We got food delivered from them two nights in a row, both nights I got custard. It was so good.

No one else ordered any custard the first night. Lots of people had to try mine the first night. Everyone who tried some had to order some the next night. The next night after our food arrived we had more samplers who tried the custard that night and we placed a second order of just custard. Everyone was hooked. :cloud9:

I was actually planning on detouring to Twistee Treat after work today to get some ice cream but I felt to yucky to go and get any. Kate, you made me want ice cream from there but I don't feel like driving out of my way to get it.

Thank you Claire for passing the lurgy onto me. :rotfl2: I think I have a sinus infection as my face feels like someone is standing on it. I can hardly talk and I am sneezing my head off and my nose is running away, plus my teeth and jaw hurt and I am now Dissing from bed and freezing cold.

My manager was so nice about me not feeling well today she told me if I still feel crappy tomorrow I am to call her and she will work all day. The thought is O, so nice except, I must be at my other job at 6am before that one at 8:30am.

Kevin and I both got APs for this past trip, even though we will probably only make it back once before they expire. With the discount it gave us on our resort, we're close to breaking even (I think he said we need three more days and our next trip will be at least a week).

I've been having a nerve-racking afternoon. I went grocery shopping after our trip, and I stopped at the deli to clarify their ordering procedure for the chicken I wanted for Alyssa's party. The girl told me they needed 24 hours. So, I called them this afternoon and they tell me they have NO chicken tenders. What?!! Luckily I found another nearby location that does have them, and the manager seemed much more professional.

Now, I'm baking cakes, but it's taking much longer than I anticipated, plus I didn't read the directions on all of the boxes (three different flavors) and now I have to wait for a stick of butter to soften before I can bake cake #3.

I haven't even gotten to cleaning yet (even though the party's not at our house, my sister is staying here, and some other family will be stopping by on Sunday).

Boy, a glass of White Zin would be delightful right now. Can someone drink a glass so I can live through your sips vicariously? :teeth:

Amy :)

Amy, I am having a glass of Sangria right now. Will that work? It is yummy :goodvibes

I have a whole bottle!!!

after the DDA trip report is anyone surprised by this tidbit of information? ;)

Well it must be the week-end and time for family. The thread has slowed to a crawl! ;)

On the whole baby nursey issue here is what we do at my hospital. Rember I work this area.
If mom has a c-section for the first 24 hours we prefer that somebody else be in the room with mom. i.e. family member. if that is not an option then we take baby in for feeds and then back to the nursey.
for regular deliveries and c-sections that our over 24 hrs. we encourage moms to keep babies in the room with them. with the exception of when mom showers or to see the pedi. but if mom is completely exhausted and asks we take the baby to the nursery. We take care of 4 moms and 4 babies at one time per each nurse. their is somebody assigned to the nursery so if babies need to go in their they can.

Does any one know where I can see a list of the counter service and the sit down restraunts that participate in the dinning plan.

Denise, Happy Anniversary

:cheer2: :cheer2:

I too remember the Sears Catalogue usage, from relatives that lived down south.

Back in 1974 until 1978 we had milk and juice delivered to our home. It was the best. Where my inlaws lived there was even a truck that came once a week that sold meats. It was very convenient when she could not make it to their store in town.

As for the nursing thing. I just knew that I wanted to nurse from the beginning.
For the first birth, my DS took too long and wanted to come out back end first so I was put under and had a C-section. Now, this was in 1971 and I was in an Army hospital. For the first 12 hours, I was in recovery. It was over a day and half before I saw my son. The feeling was so overwhelming when I first saw him, I could not stop crying. The babies were kept in the room with us so we did everything. We even had to make up our beds in the am. With a new sheet that replaced the top and the top became the bottom sheet. We had to walk down the hall to eat. you can tell by a woman's walk whether she had a c-section or not :rotfl2: Leaving him in the room just about killed me.
Even though they tried to schedule my second, my DD decided to come early and that was when my DH stayed out in the hall and the Dr whisked by barely stopping and lifting the blanket a little, saying "It's a girl" Then after four hours in recovery, (after having a spinal so I could hear this one cry) I got out of bed to walk down the hall to my room. It was easier than getting into and out of a wheelchair. (Trust me) My DD was kept in the nursery and was not in the room when DH came to visit. I did end up staying in the hospital longer than usual because my body decided to give me that dreaded headache they always talk about after having a spinal. (this was 1974)
For the third child DS also decided to come when he wanted to and hubby was again out in the hall. But this time he got to reach into the isolet and actually TOUCH the baby!!!! he was allowed in the room but had to get into the whole gown, booties, mask thing, and he had to wash his hands a few times :rotfl2: before he could hold our son. (now it is 1979)
I actually healed much faster by nursing and noticed the bond. I was lucky to be home with all three and did not work until the past 20 years. There has just always been the bond and both my husband and I enjoy it.
Both my DD and DIL nursed and loved it too. But that was their decision. If a woman can nurse great, but if not that is great too. We all on our own creat our own special bonds.
