We had milk delivery when I was little (back in the dark ages!), but I haven't heard of that around here in a long, long time. It's almost impossible to find milk in glass bottles now, too. I remember returning the empties to the dairy for re-use. It's getting tougher to get milk in cardboard cartons, and we don't like the taste of milk in plastic (particularly dh).

Warm milk...YUCK!!!

Beth

I could never tell the difference from the cartons to the plastic containers but my DH could. He is an engineer and gets into scientific things. Through his research, he says it is the light getting in the containers (as opposed to the plastic itself). Something about light breaks down something in the milk which changes the taste. We have started buying the plastic containers that aren't see-through and he says the milk tastes better.

I agree. Warm milk...YUCK!!!

You know the autograph thing has got under my skin! Part of the enjoyment of many people is getting the autographs of Disney STARS!

You know to those who don’t like it…

May the fleas of a thousand camel herds infest their armpits!!!!!!

If you don’t like it, then stay away from it!!!!

Ok, I am feeling a bit nasty today, Bethie was up and down ALL night and I think I got about 3 hours total sleep.

But in all honesty, she sort of asked for it! The thread wasn't even ABOUT opinions of autograph books.... it asked a question about markers or something specific, and she felt the need to bring the negativity. IMO, she had it coming

Jen - I've seen your sig so many times - but I've just noticed that you have the exact same picture of Mickey admiring your rings as we do!! I nearly told the story of that picture on that autograph thread too :)

ETA: Amy - I could not hear you at the end of our conversation - I hope I didn't say anything stupid - okay - I know that just opens me up!!

Sorry! Alyssa got into all the DVDs and she was screaming at me to put the Blues Clues one in. I couldn't really hear you either, so I'm assuming we both said "bye!" :teeth:

By the way, my daughter's latest thing is to call me "Amy" when she really wants my attention. I have no idea where she picked this up, because I rarely hear anyone, including Kevin, use my name. Has anyone else's toddler gone through this stage?

Amy :)

I love that picture! Mickey and Minnie were so much fun that trip (not that they aren't usually  ). Mickey was 'telling us' not to let Minnie see that we got married, etc :rotfl:

I love the character interaction! I can't really chime in on lines and autographs though, because I have never done that. Believe me, I will some day... but we just do character meals and stuff now. Which I'm sure some people would also have a problem with :confused3 :goodvibes

Nick is going through the exact same thing -

now he just thinks it is funny to call me Kate!!

he uses it when he can't get my attention or is mad at me now!!

Yeah, I think milk delivery went out with the old "ice boxes."

I guess that makes me old... :rotfl2:

We had milk delivery for almost my entire "growing up" life. Local dairies delivered to the little boxes on the doorsteps in the neighborhoods. We also had a postman who whistled like nobody's business; I can still hear him :rolleyes1

We had grocery delivery service (for FREE) and my telephone number when I was growing up had two digits and a letter. And I never think of myself as being that old. I am sure the young'ins on here will disagree :goodvibes

I need to fill out that DDA questionairre.... :surfweb:

Now before everyone hesitates to give their personal info......I was only kidding.
