That is so ridiculous!!! I didn't get the whole autograph thing before Julia either and now I TOTALLY get it - she has an AWESOME scrapbook and great memories from the extra interaction the autograph pages provide - I would also venture to say she also has Belle as a best friend!!!
What gets me is that she says they don't do autographs because she doesn't like it. Isn't it supposed to be all about your kids at this point???

Okay - if everyone pms me thier contact info - I will put it in a file and pm the information to a backup person -

it will have to be someone trustworthy!!! HMMMMM.....any volunteers - my first thought is Tammi b/c she is around as much as me!
Sure, I can do it, unless you've already had another volunteer.

Do you all still have milk delivery over there??

I hope those antibiotics get you back in good health soon.:)

We don't personally we buy a few pints in a plastic carton at the supermarket each week - some people do though you still see the milk floats driving around with the glass bottles in crates

I just popped my first pill - hopefully I'll be better soon :wizard:

I think Disney knows a cash cow when they see it! ;)

I did laugh yesterday - the Today Show was hyping them being on all morning, and saying things like "if you have a 7-13 year old in your house, then you're very familiar with this, etc.". Nope - none of those in my house - but I loved it all the same!!
Someone better tell them that it appeals to 3 year olds too!

really? They're supposed to come round really early in the morning and they leave the bottles on your doorstep... of course nowadays you see them going around at about 9ish - imagine that in the summer... warm milk... yuck!

I think it's a generation thing and will lose it's business in a couple of years...

that poor girl doesn't know what she has gotten into :rotfl: I just posted!!

I didn't mean to start something! :rotfl: Wow, I even got the queen going on this one. ;)

I have never begrudged an adult that wanted to share the magic with the characters but I always worried about what others thought so when I saw her post and one she quoted, it made me question again whether I should get autographs (that people pleaser in me that keeps rearing it's ugly head). You have all convinced me that I should. Disney truly is a place where you can be a kid again.

:badpc: Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 40 seconds. :badpc:

How's a girl supposed to go on a posting spree around here????

I'd be willing to be the back up if you still need one.

Thanks Clare, Deb & Amy (if I missed someone else that posted-sorry). You have made me feel better. The person just responded to Clare's post and she obviously doesn't GET the Disney magic. To her Mickey is a college student in a costume.

I WILL get autographs next trip, I WILL get autographs next trip, I WILL get autographs next trip! Just a little reinforcement to make sure I follow through this time. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Vicki,

On our trip in Jan to DL there was a group of people waiting for Mickey (kind of the crowding around him thing going on). A young man (20ish) was waiting for a picture and signature himself. He let my DD’s go and that is when I figured out that he was waiting his turn but felt bad because all the kids. Well After Mickey signed our books, I asked the man for his book and said “Mickey this nice man wants your signature and autograph, he has been waiting and letting all the kids go in front of him”. Well Mickey stood up and took a few moments with the young man (again I think he was in his 20’s). It was then that I figured it’s not just kids who want pics and signatures, (That’s the Duh factor!) From that point on I ensured that if and adult was waiting and keeps letting kids go, I made a point to let the character know the adult is waiting for them.
And you know I might bring my own book next time.

We had milk delivery when I was little (back in the dark ages!), but I haven't heard of that around here in a long, long time. It's almost impossible to find milk in glass bottles now, too. I remember returning the empties to the dairy for re-use. It's getting tougher to get milk in cardboard cartons, and we don't like the taste of milk in plastic (particularly dh).

Warm milk...YUCK!!!

Beth

I feel so popular this morning

both Marti & Amy called me!!!

It was nice chatting with both of you!! :wave2:

ETA: Amy - I could not hear you at the end of our conversation - I hope I didn't say anything stupid - okay - I know that just opens me up!!

Yeah, I think milk delivery went out with the old "ice boxes."

OK....I had to put in my 2 cents on the autograph thread.
