Rees is up with me. I hope he doesn't have Strep. He says his throat hurts, but he's not running a temp. We're watching a Pooh video. Tomorrow is the last day of school before Spring Break, and I really need to work after missing last week for the funeral. May be a long night! BTW, he likes "the cone".

Good, so mine wasn't the only one up until after 11. Terra decided to fall asleep around 4 for at least an hour and a half. Unfortunately, I was tired at 9. The two do not mix. Luckily at 10 when I was falling asleep in the chair while she was playing a computer game she said to me, "Let's go in the bed and I can watch a movie on the little TV." So, she watched Disney sing alongs while I slept and then she decided to sleep with me too.

I started writing news updates for TheMouseforLess newsletter a few weeks back and am getting google alerts for updates.....so Kate and all that might be interested in my inbox this morning: The cast of High School Musical will be on Access Hollywood next week to promote the DVD release and possibly(still rumor) the announcement of High School Musical: The Tour. :teeth:

Are you trying to tell my that you finally passed my post count? I'll have to go check.

I wish I could stay up all hours and post with you all. I feel like such an outsider reading everything in the AM. And then why post any replies when it is hours later?? Maybe you all should get up early in the AM and post while I can join in??? :teeth:

Just know that I am with you all in spirit. :goodvibes

You certainly have me intrigued with this airbrush tan. I'm going to have to look for it in my area. Of course, it's probably twice as much here!

ENABLERS! ;)

Well apparently, make sure you call around! The salon/spa I have gone to (just out of habit) is twice as much as the one Julie mentioned, and I'm sure it's the same fake tan! So even in one area it seems it can vary quite a bit!

Where? What brand? I hate bathing suit shopping so I'll take any recommendations. Do they make you look 20lbs thinner by any chance???

I think I would max out a credit card for that one! :rotfl:

Vicki, don't let those kind of posts bring you down! Kevin and I took 8 trips to Disney before we had Alyssa, and I truly believed we were just as entitled to the character magic as any child. One morning we were eating breakfast at Ohana, and Chip fell in love with my homemade autograph book. He kept sending CMs to come over to our table and look at it, and then when it was time for the parade, he pulled me out of my chair to march around with him. I'm sure there were others annoyed that "I took a child's spot," but it was a magical moment for me. :goodvibes

Amy :)

I agree, Amy. Vicki -- don't let those type of people dissuade you from getting the autographs. You do have just as much right to get one as anyone else. You have to remember that some people are "glass is half full" kind of people, and others are negative about a lot in life and are "glass is half empty."

On the lurgy front I am having trouble speaking today my chest hurts so much - the doc took one look at me and prescribed antibiotics! That means I'm sick as you have to be pretty much on your death bed over here to get a prescription of antibiotics... didn't actually say what was wrong with me though - I assume it's just a chest infection. He reckons I'll be fixed by Monday HOORAY!!!! :Pinkbounc

Clare -- feel better soon! Did he really say reckon, or are you just teasing us Southern ladies? ;)

ok I'm way back on page 947 and only here for 5 minutes so I've not read a post since yesterday tea time.

I just wanted to let you all know - if you don't already - that Glynis is safe and well! She took an unexpected trip to her mom's house to look after her while her dad went overseas. She said to tell you all that she misses you and will be back bright and early on Monday morning to catch up :goodvibes:

Now I'm back to bed as I still have the "lurgy"

Clare -- I wish you felt better! :wizard: But, thanks for letting us know about Glynis :goodvibes

I agree - I think I've had more fun as an adult at WDW than I did sometimes as a kid! Although I don't have an autograph book of my own, I'm betting I might have one when I make the ones I'm planning to do for my nieces and nephew for our 2007 trip! And I won't have any problem with standing in line, and getting autographs/having my picture taken! I go to more character meals now than ever...

The mindset that irks me the most, not having children of my own, is those that think their child is entitled to more magic than me, just for the sake of their age. I dare say, I need it more than some of them due to the stress of life - and I'm actually paying for it!

Sorry, don't mean to get on my soap box...I've seen this topic debated to death before, and it makes me :furious: .

How long have they been doing this Ballard test? I disagreed with the doctor on when my DD20 was due. I thought September and he told me October. When she was born 5 weeks early from his date, I just thought I'd been right. Her lungs weren't fully developed so she had to be in an isolet with oxygen for almost a week. He was sure that he was right because of the white stuff in the crease under her arm. She was 6 lbs. 1 oz. but my DD17 who was only 10 days early was 6 lb. 5 oz. I've always wondered if there was a test that they had done or whether it was just guess work.

She was born in Holland, Michigan. We were never worried because one of the best infant hospitals in the country was in Grand Rapids (30 miles away) and we were told if they suspected any life threatening problems at all in infants in Holland, they were immediately transported to Grand Rapids. The hospital has a link to Gerber.

"The New Ballard Score" (what they use now, which was expanded to include extremely pre-term infants) got published in 1991. I'm not sure when they originally started doing the Ballard assessments. Even before that, they were using some method I think called Dubowitz or something like that..... so they've been doing formulaic stuff like that for I don't know how long.

There's some info at ballardscore.com but it's pretty detailed when you click around, so it might be boring :rolleyes1 But there are definitely certain things they look at, it's not just a guess. Well, shouldn't be anyway :rotfl:

I think Disney knows a cash cow when they see it! ;)

I did laugh yesterday - the Today Show was hyping them being on all morning, and saying things like "if you have a 7-13 year old in your house, then you're very familiar with this, etc.". Nope - none of those in my house - but I loved it all the same!!

I don't think any of our family knows about our "secret" Dis life...let's make up a story! :teeth:

And you really don't want to socialize with Courtney. She's the WORST! That word disingenuineness is the best adjective to describe her. I guarantee, she'll come up and say "Hi, I'm Courtney, Tom's wife" (If she does, say "Who's Tom?"). She has introduced herself like this to my great-uncle for the past five Christmas Eves!!! He's not senile! She's an idiot. And she's cheap. Last year Alyssa's birthday present was one dress from the Target clearance rack, but she didn't hesitate to send us all the link of their new $350,000 house in Mason (which I have no idea how they can afford anyway) last week. I could go on and on. She makes my blood boil. :furious:

And don't worry Lindsay, she's "way above" Disney, so I never have to worry about her finding out I'm venting about her! ;)

Amy :)

That sounds like my SIL! Well, not the house part (yet) but everything else. :confused3 She's "way above" everything Kyle and I say or do. Ever. And she's ALWAYS been like this.

She's the girl who HATED me when we first met because I was "so girly". She was very much a tomboy, and everyone else was rediculously stupid. So fast-forward a few years, and now she's a DIVA. In the truest sense of the word, and everyone needs to wait on her and worship the ground she walks on.

And yet most of her (extended) family thinks she's a saint :confused3

She irks me to no end, and you're right -- disingenuineness is dead on. I'll have to remember that :)
