I didn't even realize we were that close!!! but I have noticed how quiet it gets at what must be east coast dinner time....makes it easier for me to pretend to work in the afternoon. :teeth:

My crocs came today and I have been wearing them around the house. I got the Niles and they seem to fit ok. I would prefer if they were just a regular flipflop and didn't have the strap in the back. With these you can't flip it forward like on the Beaches. Well, you can, but it looks silly. I don't know how they make these shoes look good on the models because they certainly look ugly on me.

Congratulations! I was wondering what sort of question your first was. I was thinking "duh, kate, people are eating". I wasn't sure why you would have taken the time to point that out :rotfl:

And then I kept reading ;)

No! No worries.... I was just saying, you're right! It's really only 2 days a week though, so mostly I was taking the opportunity to whine about having to work nights :rotfl:
Almost all new grads these days have to work nights. This will be your first Job as a nurse right? In '97 when I Graduated from nursing school I had to work nights after I got off orientation. I worked nights for 3 years before being able to go to days. Good Luck with your Interview.

Hey guys! I just wanted to share my door signs for the cruise with you all. Kyle's busy right now, and hasn't been on for weeks anyway, so I'll leave this posted temporarily.

Like I posted on the DCL door sign thread, I'm a bit embarrassed at how OCD this first picture is going to come across. I SWEAR I'm not planning all these details for this trip. I am going to just relax and not plan a lot, so it will be a very different trip than the parks. (Like you all will believe that  ) But anyway... I felt like the only way to justify the simplicity is to show how they work together.

:rolleyes1

Who am I kidding, I'm totally OCD and you all know it. I'm serious about my reasoning for posting it though!

ETA: I hope to change the picture for 'graduation' to a picture of us on graduation. Right now that's the Cincinnati Children's Hospital campus, since I don't have one yet :)

Jennifer,

These signs are great!! Can you Please tell me what font you used to write Celebrate. I love it and would like to use it for an invitation. Thanks so much

I think they are something that has to grow on people -- I didn't like them at first, but like them now. Plus, I think you are being too critical of youself -- I think most of us are our own worst critics. Most people agree that they aren't all that stylish, but what they lack in style they make up for in comfort.

itdjbw I had a scare today too. My boys (2 & 3) were at my mom's house. She had to "go". She left them at the front door watching some men working in the road out front (they love "Bob Builder" type stuff). So she comes out of the bathroom not 2 minutes later and the front door is WIDE open and the boys are nowhere to be seen. She rushes to the front door and there they are running up and down outside on the sidewalk unsupervised!!!

She said she put them both in time out and they knew they had been bad because they were either sniffing or crying from her scolding them. My DS3 had to be the culprit on that one; DS2 can't figure out how to open an interior door, much less one with a lock on it.

I'm always scared they are going to wake up in the middle of the night and sneak downstairs and out the door.

Glad they were okay, it is scary all the things Boys get up to!!!

Cute!!! That is what Abi has decided to do for her birthday...Build a Bear but we are doing it at home....found a sale and coupon on do it yourself kits and then we are going to paint tshirts for the bears.

DS did his birthday there 3 years ago and loved it, my kids cannot walk past there in our mall without nagging for a new one!!!

Julia, glad your DS is ok. Did he fall in the 'Hooch? That's a dirty river. With the cold weather, I'm not surprised he was chilled to the bone. This is definitely not Spring in Atlanta!
Kate, glad Steve is home and Julia is happy. I couldn't be a single mom either.
Jennifer, love the door signs and good luck on your interview. BTW, my fave shift is night (no doctors, no visitors, much more quiet, patients asleep so less to do... although there are always a crisis at night...)

I'll keep y'all posted when I find out any details.

Yes so SIL told me it is so dirty that I need to make sure he didn't swallow the water and see if he has tummy ache or diahrea and also check him for open sores that could get infected!!!
YUCKY!!!! :rolleyes2

Visitation is tomorrow night. John and I are leaving in the am after we drop the kids at school and driving to Philadelphia, MS. The funeral is sometime on Saturday. We will spend the night on Sat at my brother and SIL's house and drive back early on Sunday.

Please keep Ben and Keyla and her mom, Gloria, in your prayers. My in-laws are coming tonight to watch the kids.

Denise

Drive safely, our thoughts will be with you all and with the kids!!!!

So this evening DS came to ask me if he could go to our neighbor and I said okay, then DD came to ask and she went, she came home saying they were not there and where was Adam.
He went to friends down in the cul-de-sac and about 1/2 hour later I sent her to go get him and she went out the door and a couple of minutes later came in saying he had fallen in the river!!
I ran out the garage and there was DH with the friends dad from down the road, they were playing by the river - the Chatahoochee is far down from there house and Adam slipped and fell in. Luckily he was not hurt and they managed to get him out he was just soaked from head to toe and freezing!!
He is so lucky there was a parent there as he knows not to go to the river without a parent or I would kill him!!!! :goodvibes

How scary!!!!!

Midnite -

about a year ago Nick ran out the garage door when Julia opened it - she tried to stop him but he thought it was a game that she was chasing him - there were 3 of us in the house and took us a minute to realize that none of us had them -

I ran one way around the house - DH ran the other -

they were halfway down the street running on the sidewalk -

I always worry too that they might go out in the middle of the night!!!

Reminds me of the time I took the puppy out to go to the bathroom, DH went outside to put the grill away and 2.5 year old Kyle deadbolted us out of the house!!!!!!
Fire Dept had to come and climb in through an unlocked upstairs window to let us back in. Kyle was sitting on the floor in the den, taking all the books off the lower shelves until he got to the Home Depot 1-2-3 book and sat there to read it. Needless to say both of my neighbors have a spare key to my house now!

Too funny, he will probably be a great handy man one day!!! :rotfl2:

Jen and Denise I love the new desgins!!

Kyle did his first build a bear after Christmas and had a ball! If the Easter Bunny doesn't leave a gift card maybe he will get one for his birthday in June...

I have been checking out cars on the net all night. The big Infiniti SUV DH wants is out! I am not about to pay what they want for it. We are now back and forth between the Mercedes C280 4matic and the Infiniti 35GX. I am just not sure if I want to go back to a car yet (I have a Durango now). We probably aren't going to have any more kids, so space isn't an issue, but I just got so used to having a big car. Minivans are completely out (I just can't do it! ;) ). DH suggested an H3 Hummer, but I can't see myself driving a Hummer. (Besides, he got to pick the Durango which definitely was not my first choice for a new car, so I want to pick since I drive it 95% of the time) Both cars we are considering are AWD so I don't need to worry about the snow. DH has a pick up, so we don't need an SUV for cargo space since the pick up makes all the trips to Home Depot etc. Why is this so difficult!! :confused3
