UP Disney said:My daughter says she lives in a 12x12 box. They got bunkbeds but we built her & her roommate a loft (beds are in the air). They have their desks under their beds. She took her futon to college with her. They have to share a dresser. Her bedroom at home that she had to herself is at least 12x12 and it is packed!!! She took way too much to school with her as well but luckily she & her roommate talked before they moved in so they didn't end up with doubles. Her roommate is from Maryland.
Kristin's room last year was fairly narrow and a little long. It had a set of bunks and 2 desks, 2 dressers and TONS of closet space. This year (and I assume for the rest of her college life) she is in the coolest dorm... they are apartments. On one level there is a living/dining room (probably 16x16) and there is a large closet in that room. They have two big windows and a sofa, chair, coffee table, end table, entertainment center and a table with 4 chairs. There is a galley kitchen withquite a bit of cabinet space ane countertops, a sink, refrigerator and a stove. They have added a microwave and a toaster oven and cook 75% of their meals for one another, just like a family!
On the other level there are 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom with a long vanity with 2 bowls in it. This part of the room is separated from the toilet/tub area by a door, so it is very convenient for 4 girls to get ready in the a.m. The bedrooms are tiny though. They are about 10 feet wide and 14 feet long. There are two armoires and dressers, a set of bunks and 2 desks. There is not a bit of room for anything else in that room. They do have another enormous window in each of those bedrooms though. It is a very bright, airy place to live. And I am delighted that VCU offers that kind of living arrangements so kids are not forced to live off campus when they are ready to move out of a single dorm room.
You look fantastic!!

Anyone know?
