Wouldn't it be fun if all us mom's did a spring break trip with the kids? Unfortunately, we probably all have the break at different times.

out of curiousity...when does everyone have spring break? we had ours March 27-April 2

yeah, I see that...but his dorm room was a set of bunkbeds...not lofts...the room was 8x8....felt like i was in a closet.

Yikes! That is small. Mike's was definitely bigger than that, and it still seemed extremely small to me!

Pickle dip is a chip dip that my mother used to make. My son loves it.

There really isn't a recipe, but I can give you the approximates.

For a small batch:

8 oz. square cream cheese
2 pints sour cream
1 cup chopped bread and butter pickles
1/4 cup chopped onion
2-3 tablespoons pickle juice
salt to taste

cream cream cheese with 1/2 of one container sour cream with hand mixer. Add rest of that container and cream again. Then add the second container and mix well. Add pickles, onions, salt, pickle juice, stir to mix well. Let stand to blend flavors. Enjoy!

ETA: Double or triple to make larger batches. It disappears in my family, so I always make at least double.

I wonder how it would taste with dill pickles?

Hi Everybody ,

Just checking in to see what's going on. Dave and I just got back from dinner out just the two of us, Carli is at Peter Pan and Kyle was w/ my mom. It was nice to get out just the two of us for a change!!! Dinner was OK (I got seafood fettuccine -blech) -I wanted a steak SO bad.

The weather was pretty nasty for a while there, but I don't think that we got as much rain as some people did!!!

I hope everybody has a great weekend, I should be around, just doing more spring cleaning!!!

I am SO looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, I am beat!!! I also have had a splitting headache in my temples for over 3 weeks now just about everyday, I hope it's just due to sleep deprivation or sinuses/allergies. I feel like an addict w/ the amount of Excedrin/Tylenol I have taken recently!!! I hope it goes away soon.

P.S. So far so good as far as being able to make it for the DDA trip, the parents of the kids I sit for are so far being very accommodating!!! I am still waiting to talk to a couple of others, but I'm not too worried about it. I will probably be making my (hopefully earlier) reservations this weekend!!!

how exciting! I want a new laptop sooo bad. But after looking at the college bill..it ain't happening.

I have great news!

1. I got my croc-knocks! Thanks Kate, they are great, but I think I might try the dryer thing too.

2. I got my golden eared Mickey antennae topper. Thank you so much Lindsay!! Do you need anything that you forgot to get when you were down there???

3. I bought a laptop and router today!!! I got a Sony Vaio and it should do everything that I want it to, mostly digital editing for home movies. I am so excited. I can't wait to get it hooked up so I can DIS wherever I want to! Please send me PD that everything goes right. I am not as technominded as a lot of you are.

Not that it will matter for me after this year once they are all out of high school, but ours is always the 3rd week of April. This year it does coincide with Easter, so we have Good Friday plus the whole week after Easter. This is our last year scheduling our vacation around spring break, so we are leaving next Thurs. afternoon, returning the following Sunday on a (gasp!) non-Disney vacation to Las Vegas and a tour of the Southwest.

Yikes! That is small. Mike's was definitely bigger than that, and it still seemed extremely small to me!

My daughter says she lives in a 12x12 box. They got bunkbeds but we built her & her roommate a loft (beds are in the air). They have their desks under their beds. She took her futon to college with her. They have to share a dresser. Her bedroom at home that she had to herself is at least 12x12 and it is packed!!! She took way too much to school with her as well but luckily she & her roommate talked before they moved in so they didn't end up with doubles. Her roommate is from Maryland.

Never tried it, but since it's an "invented" recipe and if you prefer the taste of dill - go for it!

The shampoo lady at the salon agrees with you. She says I'm having a girl because I look like I'm carrying high. I think it's too early to tell that (I am very round at the top, not so much at the bottom), but whatever. Just thought I'd let you know

ETA: She also fed me some horror stories about having your tubes tied and I didn't even have to ask for them

I was told that if your nose looks bigger/more spread out then it means you are having a girl. Several people have told me that they can tell by looking at a persons face what they are having. My nose did look different w/Carli!!!

I know that this isn't what a pregnant wants to hear, but ask someone if your nose looks different.

I know that this isn't what a pregnant wants to hear, but ask someone if your nose looks different.

I'm quoting myself, but I wanted to put in that I'm not sure if the cream chees should be 8 oz or 4 oz - whichever is the smaller.

It was wrong w/ both of mine!!!!

All of my friends swear by it though!!! It's almost scary sometimes how accurate it is, but I think that there are several CBC's floating around out there!!!! Some obviously more accurate than others.....
