I can't believe I missed

01:02:03 04/05/06 last night!!!

Oh no that came round quick - put a note in your diary for May 4 so you can have another shot at it.

Gotta go now girlies - still catching up but I'll see you all later - hope you all have a good day :goodvibes

Morning, everyone. Yes, it is early and I haven't had any sleep. Quit DISing, and 30 minutes later BK was up. Then Rees... then Davis... then BK again... Now they're asleep and I'm wide awake. So, I figured I'd DIS again.

Oh, and the fact that I'm having an absolute panic attack over changing to Sept and the kids missing 5 days of school is NOT helping... I really am freaking out. Should I switch it back to December so they don't miss any school? Geez, I'm so wishy washy. I wish someone else could make these decisions.

Ooh, an old Humphrey Bogart movie just came on TV. At least I have something to watch now.

Which brings me to my castle story...

The first time I went to CRT for breakfast, I saw Mickey walking towards the front of the castle. I didn't know where he was going, only that there was Mickey Mouse! And I started running after him, waving my arms like a windmill.

Mickey! Mickey! I'm screaming. He's walking, not even turning around to wave. I have tunnel vision. All I see is Mickey! I finally caught up with him when he stopped in front of the castle. I ran in front of him. Mickey Mickey! I love you Mickey!! Can I get a picture? (Obviously, this was my first time seeing Mickey) He put his arm around me and we took a picture. I thanked him and started walking away. Then I saw the line......

And I put my hand to my mouth and apologized to the first person in the line. And he said, don 't worry about it. Just seeing your joy, was worth waiting an extra 30 seconds for our turn...

Some people just "get it" :smickey: :smickey:

awwwwwwwwwwwwww... adorable story

I had milk delivery and the same kind of telephone number.. We must be close in age.......

My goodness, we were adults before HBO!!!

I think you are right, Steffy. I will be 55 this summer. Andwe didn't have TV until I was in Kindergarten :rotfl: That was more my parents' choice than there not being television. And, although I grew up in town, it was not uncommon for people in our area of rural PA to not have a television until well into the 1950s.

I hope everyone is feeling better. I hope all of you who have free dining booked, enjoy it. It was great last year. I still feel kind of sick, but am surviving. It was snowing and blowing like crazy here today. Crazy weather for April. I have gotten the Assitant Manager position and I am still working both jobs.

Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to all of you. If I missed something important I apologize. I should send individual posts to boost my count but this is easier. :rotfl2: I am still back on page 1091.

Amy- The party looked great and tons of fun. The cookies looked great as always. BTW-You do not look fat, you look great.
Kristine- Did someone forget to tell that you are not suprised to dye the shirt when you wearing it. :lmao: It looks great anyways.
Denise- I hope you, Brantley-Kate, and Reese are feeling better and that Davis and John do not get sick.
Kevin-Amy is one lucky girl to have you and you are a great guy.
Kate- Great designs as always. Sending you :wizard: that you have a good report from the doctor. As for the laptop, you could always plug the keyboard from the desktop into the laptop.
Clare-I hope you are feeling better.
Marti, Paul and Matthew- Feel better Paul. Marti and Matthew don't catch it, also Matthew congrats oon the debut.
KC10family- Sending hugs to you and your entire family.
Tinkaroo- Take some time to breathe and relax. Spend some time with your DH. I know it will be hard, but you can get through it. Try as hard as possible to go on that vacation you will need it and appreciate it even more.
Elin-Congratulations on the weight loss, way to go.
Linzybrooke-Welcome to the DDA, if I missed welcoming you earlier I am sorry.
Julie-Nice to see you in Amy's pictures and I hope all of these tricks, help Carli decipher the b and the d.
tink2020-Sounds like the interview went well. Sending :wizard: that you get the job.
June-Enjoy your trip with your granddaughter. I am sure you will have a blast.
Theresa-Good luck in getting rid of the stuff you don't need anymore.
Glynis- I am glad to hear that you are doing well and that nothing happened. Imagineers do so much more than what you think of in the normal realm. It is one of my dream jobs.
Vicki-Congrats on the weight loss and getting your life in order.

If I missed anyone I am sorry. Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to everyone. I am off to bed.

Becky

Becky -- congrats on the new job! Hopefully this will allow your life to slow down a bit :thumbsup2

Maybe you should look at Amy's house!

June -- I was thinking the exact same thing! :)

Also, we will miss you in DC this summer, but I would jump at the chance to do free dining at WDW with a grandchild (if I had one) in a heartbeat. I know you all will have a ball.

ANyone out there have any thought on POR? Is it nice? How's the transportation? Is it really spread out?

We love POR. It is our younger DD's favorite moderate. We have always found the transportation to be just fine. Little wait and plenty of room. We have stayed there 5 times, I think. Four of them were in Alligator Bayou, which we prefer. Being in Virginia, the Manors just don't do a lot in making us feel like we are on vacation :teeth:

I couldn’t take it anymore and needed a break from the phone so I figured I would read a bit from the DDA.I want to say thank you all so much for the PD and prayers.

Some one give me authorization to slap my MIL!!! She is so on drugs!!!!!

First she didn’t want to go to MI because she wanted to wait for Easter break (she is a teachers assistant at a Catholic preschool) and its $200.00 cheaper if she waits 14 days to buy her ticket. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!) Did she miss the fact that her daughter has a tumor and things don’t sound all that good. DH said it doesn’t surprise him, because we only live 2 ½ hours way and she doesn’t come to visit our girls but maybe MAYBE once a year.

We just got info that SIL in MI is not having the tumor taken out today; the surgery is for a shunt to relieve the pressure on the bladder and spine.

Everyone has asked her to come home so we can all see her and help take care of her. She said NO because she thinks everyone should come out to her and take care of her at her house. (Oh the Drama) I know she is drugged up, but is she crazy! Get real!!!! Oh, yes everyone will take time off work and spend lots of money to go to her house and take care of her. Please! She doesn’t have full custody of her two children and the fathers (yes that was plural) are being very nice about things right now. She could very well ask for special permission to bring the kids to California for a while during her recovery (if recovery is an option). I would think the courts and the fathers would agree to that.

Calgone take me away!

So I have to tell you all that I am crying while I write this, because I can’t get over what wonderful people you all. I only have a few good friends in town (in the military your friends always move away) and they are out of town right now. But you all have taken me in and befriended me and you give a rats ____(insert work for donkey) and we have never met in person. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough, but it’s all I have for now.

Do your best to stay sane in a crazy situation! We're here when you need to vent. I wish I lived closer. :grouphug:

Denise - you made the right choice to switch to September. The kids are NOT going to miss much in those five days and, in the long run, this new time frame will be better for Rees, right?

There you go... decision made :rotfl:

This is what is wrong with my knee: Patellar subluxation

The kneecap is designed to fit in the center of this groove, and slide evenly within the groove--this is called patellar tracking. In some patients, the kneecap is pulled towards the outside of the knee.

patients who experience an unstable kneecap have a patella that does not track evenly within its groove on the femur.

So I have to have physical therapy for the next four weeks - twice in the office and then a rigorous home routine - which he said will be pretty extensive and be ongoing

He said my knee buckles b/c my muscles decide they are sick of working so hard so they just shut down. I need to be particularly careful on steps as it is common to happen on steps and he doesn't want me to fall

No knee brace yet but I told him I was going to WDW for an all-girls trip at the end of May

now for the BEST part: he is a Disney fan and promised he would have me ready to go!!!

he said if my knee doesn't seem better at my next appt we will think about a brace for the trip

and he said it isn't a problem that they treat with surgery unless nothing else works after a long period of time!!

Sounds like good news! :wizard:

You guys talk too much! How in the world do you all still get up at 6 after being up at 2am!!??!! It took me over 40 minutes to catch up!
From songs (what's the song that OSU sings...in the middle of the song they spell O-H-I-O?!? My mind went blank!) to movies (don't forget TRON!) and anything else one can imagine!

Triplefigs: Take 'em out in September! Enjoy the heat and humidity! Plus it'll be nice to see another DISer! I'll be there 9/30-10/8!
