Well, I'm in bed on the laptop and DH is asleep, so I can't turn on the TV. but, yes, we're big Braves fans.

Well they just won. It was 5-0 Dodgers for a while, then 5-5, then 8-5 Braves.... then the Dodgers caught up, and the Braves ended it 9-8

I'm a huge fan as well. As part of a wedding gift, Kyle got us tickets to 2 games down there, as well as a custom made hat like the one Usher wears in a video of his? I dont know, I'm not familiar with the video. But it's one of only 100 made and he had a heck of a time getting it, so I was pretty impressed!

Louisiana culture is very different different from the typical southern states. Like New Orleans - I've seen their accents portrayed as very southern sounding, when in fact it's more like a New York accent than anything else.

We had 2 girls in our nursing class this year who reloacted from NO. They described it quite well, in saying that it shouldn't be considered "a southern most US city", but "a northern Caribbean city". not just accent, but everything about the area.... I thought that was a good way to put it!

I will! In high school, my dad and I drove down at least once a year for a game. Neither of us have time anymore, so we make it a daddy-daughter date whenever they are in town.

I think in the last few years I have gone to every single Reds-Braves game It's a lot of fun, but it's not the same atmospher as Turner Field or Fulton County!

I was pretty devastated though when they traded the love of my life, Javier Lopez

My BIL and SIL lived in Louisiana for a couple of years. It is funny because they lived there right when my niece started talking and I think I can stll hear that french/cajuny twist when she talks and she is now 8. It is such a distinctive accent!!!

What part? I don't have a Cajun accent...I'm more hick sounding. My friends used to call me Ellie Mae (let's see who gets that reference )

Javy is pretty cute! we went to the Braves/Reds game last year. And I've been to training camp in FL to see the Reds and to one game in cincinnati.
