my favorite song from Pretty Woman was "King of wishful thinking"
That's another movie I can almost recite by heart.

Am I alone in this one? Smokey and the Bandit?

Yes you are alone there, as far as I'm concerned!!!!

Lew Robinson took me to see Back to the Future. What a hottie, but he moved away a few months later. When we were leaving the theater there was a DeLorean exactly like the one in the movie parked in the lot! It was awesome!

don't we all have that one boy who will always make us swoon?!?!

Mine actually moved into the same apartment building that steve and I lived in when we first got married -

I was so mature - that I avoided him the whole year we lived there at the same time!! I guess I was a little embarrassed that I didn't weigh 108 pounds like the day I graduated from HS!!

Isn't it accurate of small Southern towns? I love that movie.
Yes, except the accents. I thought they were more Mississippi accents than Louisiana. Our accents aren't as exaggerated. But definitely accurate about small Southern towns!

Nope, we love the Bandit! And on TV I loved the Dukes of Hazzard. Boss Hog!

Denise, are you all Braves fans? There's a great game on! :cheer2:

Edit: Well, there was. I guess the above cheering smiley must have sealed the deal for them! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I agree. I definitely felt the movie portrayed it as a Mississippi town, not LA. Now all those Cincinnati folk are wondering what the heck we're talking about!

Christopher loves Smokey and the Bandit. Brian suggested we buy him the DVD for Easter, but I reminded him that on TBS all the naughty words are edited. I can just see him going to Pre-K "get out of my way you some *****!" :rotfl:

Well, I'm in bed on the laptop and DH is asleep, so I can't turn on the TV. but, yes, we're big Braves fans.

Louisiana culture is very different different from the typical southern states. Like New Orleans - I've seen their accents portrayed as very southern sounding, when in fact it's more like a New York accent than anything else.

Well, no this one wasn't sarcasm, so it was a totally different story!

I do love Adum Dunn though.... he's my favorite (not sure where that one came from! :confused3 ) Wasn't his proudest day, though was it?

It didn't matter though. Pitching stinks (although what's new?)! :furious:

My BIL and SIL lived in Louisiana for a couple of years. It is funny because they lived there right when my niece started talking and I think I can stll hear that french/cajuny twist when she talks and she is now 8. It is such a distinctive accent!!!

QUICK!!

I need you guys to help me -

I have to make a flyer (tonight) to put in our church bulletin to get festival workers

I need an opening headline - any ideas?
