I would have loved to been able to book concierge!

Sorry...I never made it there. We stayed in concierge and I could hardly keep up with the food & liquor there...in passing by, I do not recall people being too dressed up though

Thanks, I am getting so excited!

Janet...you are going to LOVE the Poly...it was by far my favorite trip

sadly, because I was obsessed with being on the go...we didn't take advantage of the lounge that much. This is why I am bent on enjoying the AKL concierge in June. (Remind me that I said that)

Will do :rotfl:

I know Gary would take advantage of it. Hopefully down the road I can plan for a concierge stay, just once.

I wonder if it would be more economical for you to rent dvc points for an AKL concierge stay? depending on the time of year...it could be an option for you

Janet - Yikes for your SIL! You can hang things up to dry if you HAVE to, but the heater isn't something you can do without! :scared:

Kristine - I remember your juggling to get out of town last year, now that I think about it. I hope Christopher feels better soon!

Deb - I think they turn the castle light on before the park closes, regardless of whether it is MVMCP. If your goal is lights then your dates could still work. If your goal is MVMCP you might have to change dates.

We do want to see the castle lit up, but we won't have Disney tickets unless we buy them for a party. Our PAPs expire in July :sad2: We will be making it a US trip with a night party at MK. It would be fun to see all the resorts dressed up for Christmas though. I'll talk to Chris about it more tonight. I think the crowds would be much nicer in Oct than over Thanksgiving week. I just looked at the kids school calender and other than Feb vacation or April vacation which I know is busy in FL we don't have another good time to get away. If we add a last minute cruise on to our summer trip then I don't think we could afford a fall trip anyway. We are hoping for a cruise deal that we can't resist sometime during our summer stay this year. I don't think we really care which cruiseline. I guess I should start researching passports since we could possibly need them :confused3

Oh I didn't think of that, I will have to keep this in mind!

me too Deb...we are cruising in the fall...I haven't even begun the passport process...mine is a pain in the butt...I either need to drag Jeff with or the divorce decree...I am worried that even though the divorce decree shows that I have full custody, that they will still ask for him to sign off....he will do it...but of course it will have to be according to his schedule

Gary & I are off to look at washers. I am hoping to find a cheap decent one lol

That sounds like a huge pain in the rear. Hopefully it will go smoother than expected.

Do all cruises require passports now? I need to look into the regulations.

I can't keep up with all the recent changes....I feel like it is a yes...but really not sure

I know if your cruise goes outside of the US you have to have a passport. The uncles are going on a cruise to Alaska in June - that MIGHT not require a passport, but then again, it might.

Kristine - That does sound like a pain. I know ExMomboss had to go to the office when ExDadboss took Brother for his passport - I think it was because the forms were signed but not notarized.

You need a passport for any cruise that would stop at a port outside the US.

I just got my passport in the mail. I had to renew mine and sent it in a week before Thanksgiving and got the old one and new one in the mail yesterday. I was surprised it came back so fast. Not sure the turn around time for applying for a new one.

It appears that ALL cruises are recommending passports because the rule changes are pending and the dates aren't clear. Maybe Summer 2008, maybe January 2009. BUT something I didn't think of is that if you have some sort of emergency and have to fly home from somewhere other than where the cruise ends you won't be able to get back into the country without a passport. The cruise lines are also saying you should have one in case you miss the ship at the port where you are supposed to board and have to fly to the next port. It sounds like a REALLY good idea to have them.

Today is our end of year inventory at work. So I will be going in around 7pm tonight. Last year this is when we had our 1st big snow storm & I had a heck of a time getting in our drive way. Guess what, we have a winter storm watch out lol It is not suppose to start till tomorrow morning, so I hope this holds true. We are suppose to have freezing rain, I better put a brick or something behind my tires. I don't want my truck rolling into the street again :scared1:

I will not have to work tomorrow because we have to get all the paperwork done tonight. Hope everyone makes it in to work tomorrow, I don't plan on budging once I get home :rolleyes1
:wizard: that the bad weather holds off until you get home!

I think I'm coming down with something. Ugh. I woke up at 5 AM and I swear that something had bit my arm. No mark, no nothing :confused3 I felt nausous at that time, but managed to go back to sleep. Now I have a head cold with that whole head wants to explode thing. My stomach is making all sorts of weird noises and I feel weak. I plan to take it easy today as I really need to work tonight since my schedule has been cut back so much. Hopefully lots of rest a fluids will have me back on my feet by evening :wizard:
I hope you feel better. :wizard:

I think there is a form that you can give him to sign and get notarized, then you take that with you to get the passports.
