good night...I hope the meds kick in quick and Lucy is back to her happy self soon.

I hope Lucy feels better so you can get some sleep!:wizard:
Try aiming the syringe at the back corner of her mouth. Also, if you blow in her face she will instinctively swallow. There are kids that those tricks don't work on, though.

Tom - I hope you don't have to work!

DH just called and said Sam's has some weird plan to have him work Wednesday night after they close, but then he won't have to go in at all Friday morning. So he'll have to work 2 shifts Wed. but he'll be off Thur, Fri, and Sat!

Marci wasn't kidding when she said our temps are supposed to drop. Our high will be in the high 40's by the end of the week. :scared:

I need to go get DS moving. He is coming over to see Princess this morning. Since she dosn't have school I don't know how I am going to get her to nap with the housekeeper there. I guess I will plan to put her down kind of early and hope the housekeeper is running late!

Apparently I am not the only one who saw that. There is a new result on the search that says it is the Wii console, 3 nunchuks, 3 "Wii"motes, and 3 games. But it still doesn't say WHAT the games are.

Here is the ad
http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?catg=10750

I didn't see anything else we would be interested in. I am sure those Wii's will fly out the door in a matter of minutes, so I guess I should be glad I wasn't REALLY planning to buy one!:rotfl2:

That doesn't really seem like that great a price, actually. The console with one "Wii"mote and one nunchuk is $250. "Wii"motes are about $40 and nunchuks are about $20. That makes the 3 games an average of about $43. So a savings of around $30-40 depending on the games. I lucked out and bought the three games that I already have at buy 2, get 1 free. Also, the controllers and nunchuks were buy one get one half price the day that I bought. I think I may go get another three games at TRU for buy 2 get one free again. I can always save them for birthdays.

Jen,

Sending you 's and praying that your grandfather is able to go as peacefully as he can. You are handling this in a way that would make him very proud of you. It's not an easy thing to do. :wizard:

Very well said!

Jen -- I'm glad your brother will get to go to the hospital today. :goodvibes

Sounds like a fun day until you mentioned the white stuff!

Ditto on Bernadette's trip report!

How crazy would I be to change our dates to Jan 2 to the 8th? I'm sure we would have a hard time getting ADR's at this point but I'd eat counter service, it's not a huge deal to me. It is however a lot cheaper as it looks like the free ticket upgrade is available. My thinking is that we are going to Myrtle Beach for New Year's so it would be stupid to drive back down to Florida in 2 weeks time. Emma would miss more school by going earlier but I don't think she'd have a huge problem. Eric, of course thinks I'm nuts! I am but I don't see what that has to do with this!!!

Eric just called and she does have an ear infection. He is getting her RX and headed home.

Poor Lucy. It sounds like the had been coming down with it for a while, and this was the first time they could tell they were infected. Good luck on the meds. I hope she feels better ASAP.

Bernadette -- love the trip pictures. It's helping me get in the Christmas spirit!

Elizabeth and Lindsay -- did y'all hear that we may get up to 86 today, before we are in the 40s for a high later in the week? I see a lot more people getting sick from the crazy temps.

Lots to do at work with all of our projects, though it is much easier just managing them instead of executing them. I'm going to try to run over to TRU to check on the buy 2 get 1 promotion.

Andrew has a scrimmage tonight, and I have to go over to Dad's and pick out his clothes for Grandparents day at Shelton tomorrow.

Have a good one DDA! :)

Good night, Robyn!

It is hard to find. I THINK I saw it at Toys R Us. I couldn't find it last year when I was looking, and I ran across it recently when I was looking for something else.

I got my booster set at Barnes and Noble last spring. I think it was a holdover from Christmas. I want to say that I've seen them at Target too, but since there is a full-game volume 2 now, they may not have a booster set right now.

Good morning, DDA!

I am sitting here waiting for Eric to get back from the doctor's with Lucy. She had another screaming fit tonight and this time she kept swatting at her right ear. Every time I'd get her to stop screaming and I'd lay her down she'd start right back up again. No fever but neither Emma or Molly ever had fevers when they got them so who knows.

Emma arrived safely in New York this afternoon. Her cousin Alex was over the moon when he saw her. I am so happy Emma got to see him, they get along so well for not spending a tremendous amount of time together. She hasn't seen him since July of 2006.

I'm sorry to hear about poor Lucy. Laura had ear infections from about December to May from the time she was a baby until she was 5. She still occasionally has ear pain. We'd go in get the meds, go back for a check in 10 days, wait about another 10-14 days and be in again. She is allergic to amoxicillan which we found out when she developed hives all over at 18 months. They never did tubes, because she would go so long without the infections in the spring and summer.

Pearl likes popcorn...not microwave...the stuff we make on the stove top.

I am a little scared about putting the tree up next weekend I don't know what she'll do with it:confused3 She's the first cat we haven't had since they were kittens.

My one cat likes popcorn, too, but he likes either stove top or microwave.

Good morning all..i am headedto work, then down the shore..and the big news of the day is my brother is coming home!! He has fire class tonight but he is headed to the hospital right from the airport..i know he is relieved there were no phone calls in the middle of the night

have a great day all

 I'm glad that your brother is heading home.

Good Morning Tom. :goodvibes

Yes we do live in a snow belt. We had lot of leaves too, but now we have lots of snow. Its still snowing also. :headache:

We woke up to a thin covering of snow. Thanks for keeping the majority of it. ;)

I am now running late!!! (Sounds like the story of my life, huh?) I hope to "see" you all later.

Tia, I was thinking. Is Phil going to enjoy all the antics at Whispering Canyon?

Hmmm, good question. He can be as goofy as they are there. I think that he would also play along. However, the noise level may be of concern. Maybe I'll have to think about that one. It seems to be my hardest one to work out anyway...a sign perhaps. I've been trying to get there for so long, and can never work it out, so I just automatically put it on the list. Thanks for pointing that out.

Wow, Heidi. It looks like winter has arrived. It got up to 59 here, and is supposed to be 70 on Wednesday.

We're supposed to be 73 today and 39 by Thursday. Craziness!

(Heidi - Can I have some of your snow?!?!)

Not Heidi, but you may gladly have some of my snow. I could post similar pictures. It is still snowing here, it had stopped but is definitely snowing again.

I am off to clean off my car and head to work. I am happy I don't have to drive to Allentown today.:thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone.

Oh, I hope to get my ornament exchange out on Tuesday! I have been so busy with work lately, that I haven't had time to get to the Post Office!

You are not alone in this. I hope to get mine out today. I just couldn't find what I really wanted so our names will get one now and get one later (so that I have time to get the "right" one).

Robyn I hope the meds work quickly for Lucy :wizard: Glad to hear Emma made it to NY ok.

Bernadette I am enjoying your trip report!

Becky glad you had a good time. I like your Idea for the boys gift, I think this is what I will do :thumbsup2

Tom I hope you can have Thanksgiving off! I will be working, but my trade off is having Christmas off this year :yay:

Elizabeth if you would have known dh was getting a 3 day weekend, you could have taken a quick trip to Disney :teeth:

Jen glad to hear your brother is on his way home.

Heidi we have a chance of snow Wednesday, I hope they are wrong!

Elin I hope work slows down soon for you!

Well, it is raining here. The worst thing is that it is just above freezing - 35 degrees. Not good! That means there will be lots of accidents today when the sun goes down and it starts to freeze.

Good morning everyone! Lots to do today. Cleaning galore, some laundry, need milk, dad's needs a ride to an oil change, pants to hem. Now if I could only get moving. Luckily, it's only 9am not the 10 or 11 it must be by now.

Jen - Ditto to everything that has been said about your grandpa. I'm glad that your brother will be home soon. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. I'm glad that you are finding peace.

Robin - I hope that Lucy is better today. Mom and Dad need sleep, I'm sure!

Tom - Hope you're off on Thursday. The money is nice, but so it a day off.

Elizabeth - Sounds like a nice deal for DH on Fri. Hope it works for him.

Everyone else - :grouphug and :wizard: as I know that I am forgetting things.

Happy Thanksgiving week everyone!

Anyone with a digital picture frame....

What size do you have? Do you like that size? What is the minimum you would get?

Also, what size memory card is good?

We're looking at one for my grandma and wanted to see what everyone else thought of theirs.

Thanks!!

(Heidi - Can I have some of your snow?!?!)

Checked this morning (just for the Texas clan;) ) High of 70 today....and on Wednesday........29!!! I get to walk to work when it's that cold.

If anyone has ever thought of doing the Richard Petty Drive Along Experience, now is the time to buy! Tickets are 40% off, so they are $59 right now. I have been waiting for this so Gary can do this in Dec. Would make a great stocking stuffer as they never expire :santa:

ETA: I can't use this, the sale priced tickets are not valid til starting Jan. 1st. Oh well it is still a good deal for those who are going at a later date!

Brrrr, you better be adding on the extra layers of clothing!

I almost posted that for you, but then they said you can't redeem the cards until January 2008. :confused3

Since we're going in a little over 3 weeks I wouldn't have booked WDW for this weekend.;) It's going to be VERY crowded, I am sure. And I am still dealing with the sinus thing so I wouldn't want to fly right now.

Princess and I have 4 errands that have to be done today and of course none of them are near each other. I need to get her dressed and get started on those. Chat with you all later!

I seen that after I posted, so I called them because it would only let me put the $59 tickets in my cart. I can either but a gift certificate for the right amount or buy the $59 ticket & pay the difference when he goes. I am keeping on eye on Ebay for tickets ;)
