My phone just rang & it was a girl asking for Riley For one thing it is a little late to be calling & 2cd Riley is asleep!

I feel sorry for the first girl brave enough to call DS after 8 PM. So far NO girls have ever called him. It is a BIG no-no for the phone to ring after 8 PM because it disturbs DH. I wonder if the girl was at a sleepover and someone dared her to call?

I woke up at 11 PM feeling horrible. DS has his flu shot this AM but I am still trying to assess whether or not I feel up to driving. My head feels weird.

DH is working and he won't be home in time to take DS to his appt. DH got his schedule for next week. He is off Thursday (for Thanksgiving) and Saturday. I am glad he got Thursday off! He is working a Sam's route and they are closed, so that turned out well! And he'll be at Sam's when they open Black Friday. I have no idea what they might have, but he'll be there!

no wonder your stressed. we are going to my moms for Thanksgiving, to moms for Christmas lunch. Christmas eve will be us and Jeffs dad here, then mornibg open presents and headed to my moms.

It always happens this time of year, you think I'd be used to it by now!

What time of day? I'm thinking late morning or lunch based on your thoughts. For a light lunch I would suggest:

Finger rolls with rolled ham, tuna and egg salad. All can be done ahead and popped into the fridge.

Deviled Eggs are always a hit and easy

Pickle platter/plate

Sweet and Sour meatballs (pop into croc pot before ceremony and they would be hot when you want them)

Chips and Dip


I can give you other easy things, but need more info, time of day, # of people etc. We often do parties for 30 - 50 people and I can do it pretty stress free these days

Normally it wouldn't stress me out so much but I just feel like there isn't a whole lot of time and $$. I'm going to need to take a loan out to pay for all the parties.

Thanks for the suggestions. My goal is to just be able to put everything Saturday night before bed. The service is at 9am and we should be back to the house by 10:30am. I honestly don't want to put cook/make too many things as we will just be recovering from Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving I will be working, so we will be going over to sil's.

Christmas eve we will have dinner at LTT & spend the evening at MK. Christmas day we will have breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, resort hop & see the decorations & have dinner at Ohana's. We will end the evening with a sleigh ride at WL

Well, I think I'm off to bed. It was a wonderful day. Katrina came home so we could have my birthday dinner with all of us. I got a $50 gift certificate from Shopko. I had told them they didn't have to give me anything (after my cricut purchase and now DVC). We played with my cricut and I pieced together a cute Mickey & Minnie. Chuck made beef stroganoff because that was what I asked for. I didn't want a cake so we pulled a andes mint frozen pie from Schwans out of the freezer.

My sister and her kids called and sang me happy birthday. My mother called me at 6:18am which is when I was born. My brother called from Japan and I got to hear little Billy (18 months) babbling. My staff (the 7 greatest employees in the world) gave me a $25 gift certificate to my favorite restaurant in Marquette and the neatest card that they all put wonderful personal messages in. I got birthday cards in the mail from my mom, my favorite aunt, Chuck's aunt & uncle, my best friend, Chuck's brother's family and a couple more I can't remember.

Talk to you all tomorrow. We'll be going to Chuck's parents to help get some things done around the house. His dad is doing better. We just have to keep an eye on him.

Thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes. It was another great year! Thanks for being part of it.

I would not be a happy mom. Emma's best friend drives me nuts with the phone. If we don't answer she calls Eric's cell and then will continue to call back until she gets one of us. Or she leaves a 30 minute message.

I have seen notices about that at the post office, but I didn't realize just how seriously they take it.

It took me a minute to get this. I'm a little slow this morning. I was wondering why Tom was in the freezer.

I'm thinking there's a slumber party somewhere.

That's my thought, too. I hope that my dd never does things like that. She does have her first boyfriend at the moment. I am very worried about that boy's cell phone bill, because of all the texting. I have told her, but I don't think it really sunk in. She has 1,000 texts a month, and she knows she had better not exceed them.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the elves! My father did that for my kids last year and sent them to us. It is so funny.

I've read along as much as I can, but I think that I'm entering senility, because I can't remember anything else right now.

I had a day off work yesterday, and my kids had school. I had forgotten how much I miss that. Dh took the day off work, and we went out looking for a new table and chairs set. We didn't find what I really want. The closest one was over $3500, so I may have to rethink this. We also looked at new tvs. He really has done his homework but can't make a decision.
