Mousekeeping envelopes! Thanks Bernadette!:santa: :santa:

Bernadette, I hope you have a great trip!

I ended up making an Alyssa an autograph book using that awesome Winkflash code. 50 pages...should have been $60, but it was only $20! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Robyn, Lucy's pictures are so adorable!

Heather, congratulations! And you've learned that you can't make innuendo on this thread without raising suspicions. :rotfl:

Anne Marie, Happy belated Anniversary!

Elizabeth, Happy Anniversary!

Karen, I hope your surgery goes well!

Thanks for all the well-wishes concerning my sinus infection. My antibiotic kicked in pretty quickly, so I've been sleeping much better. Of course, since daylight savings, Alyssa now wakes up at 7 a.m. "But Mommy, it's light outside."

I hope everyone is having a good week. :wizard: :grouphug: :wave2:

She is just the cutest little thing!!!

This is so well said in response to Jennifer, that I am quoting you, Glynis.

Attendance requirements have become so dictatorial that they are now absurd. Instead of attempting to force families to have their children there all 180 days the school systems need to do something more encouraging like teach those same children. Teaching to state-mandated tests does not make for a well-educated person. It only makes for someone who hates school and has no cognitive assessment abilities!

Off one of my current soapboxes.... :goodvibes I return you to your regularly scheduled DDA forum.
I saw Glynis's comment & I was going to say the same thing (Amen sister!) I have had such "issues" with this.

I met DH for breakfast. Today is our 15th anniversary.:)
Happy Anniversary!!

OH...I keep forgetting to post this for Elizabeth:

I called and made a reservation for Pop for Emma & I 5/3 to 5/10 with a AAA discount on the room only. It was $681.81 total for the 7 nights but I had to pay a deposit of $104.23 for the first night. SO the weekends must be 92.65 before tax and the weekdays $84.15 before tax. Hoping for a AP discount.
We will miss you by a few days..we are there 4/24-4/29 at Pop!
Have a wonderful time!!!!

 :scared1:

I'm going to bed. I'm too old for this stuff..:headache:

I'm sorry to hear this, Jennifer. I've had a headache, too, for about a day - but I don't have an infant and a young child to worry about! I hope you get some relief soon.! :wizard:

I hope everyone is having good days. I feel like a zombie (this getting 4-5 hours of sleep each night is getting old), but I completed half of one of my big projects for our trip last night. I made my nieces' autograph books! (I still have to personalize/print the cards, but the actual book was what I was dreading doing the most.) I am not at all crafty (I have the ideas in my head, but my hands usually can never cooperate), so I was scared to death to do these. This is when I wish my mom lived close by, as she's terrific at that stuff. However, I don't think they came out too bad. If I can remember, I'll try to post pics of them tonight. One of tonight's tasks will hopefully be to print out all the cards - once that's done, I think I will feel like a huge weight has lifted on that front. :thumbsup2

Chat with ya later!

That is often my problem!! I can't seme to implement what's in my head. I hope you posted pictures as I'd love to see them!

Bernadette -- have a fantastic trip!

Elizabeth -- Happy Anniversary to you and DH! :goodvibes

Robyn -- cute pictures of Lucy!

Thanks, snuck up on me too.:rotfl:

Safe travels!

yes they are concerned by the time they go in for their 2 week check up they want them to be back at birth weight. but she lost quite a it when she was so jaundiced and not eating much. she got down to 6lb 80z. she is still a little jaundiced. but it is almost gone. yesterday she pretty much fed all day.

Thanks Amy. Somehow I missed you were sick, glad your getting better. Molly's line is "But it's 8 o'clock" Really it's 6:30am but she is fixated on 8 o'clock. Everything starts or happens at 8 o'clock :rotfl:

Thanks Anne Marie!

So cute!!

Thanks Tia!

We met with the pastor at church for Lucy's baby dedication service. This was the first time we've talked since we switched churches. My childhood church has grown so large recently that you feel lost within it and I just haven't felt too at home there. Anyway, he was nice and he was very supportive of our mixed faith household.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but all you have to do is go to the southwest site and check their fares. If a ding is available, it will reflect that fare. Having ding installed on your computer only notifies you that there is a ding, it doesn't have anything to do with booking.

My experience has been that each link provided in a DING message leads to a different offer. Just going through one link does not provide all the available DINGs so if you are looking at several different flights you should check all the links to see which provides the best deal.

Not much happening here. Work was slow tonight. Tomorrow will be a busy with the funeral in the afternoon, but I will have the evening off.

Crazy busy at the store today! I sold 11 pre-sales of HSM2 in 4 hours!:thumbsup2 We had such long lines you would think it was black Friday. I can't imagine how the store will be that day!

We had a few costumes left. I bought Sophie the Elizabeth Swann crown & costume. She has not seen the POC3 movie but I thought she's like the costume since its very elaborate. I was hoping to get her a princess costume but they ran out since we had them on sale. I also got her some sleeping beauty sneakers for tomorrow. Her payless sneakers that we bought in September already ripped.

I came home, changed, picked up the girls & had our religion class for the 6th grade girls & then off to do the 3rd grade boys. They actually listened to me (the boys that is), they have never been so quiet..what a treat.
Thankfully Dana made dinner, so we ate, finished hw & then showers & my angels are all in bed.

I was hoping to do some DIS'ing on the cruise forum but I am just so tired.

Tomorrow I am off & I have a ton of errands to run. Among other things, I bought "Boogie" for Wiii but I am going to exchange it for HSM2 for Wii. I think my kids would play that more since they all love the music.

Good night!!!

Could you explain what a baby dedication service is? I'm glad you feel comfortable with the pastor.

2 Long Island Iced Teas :)

Thanks, I needed it. :rotfl:

It is basically a baptism but they don't call it a baptism.

The church says the bible does not give any examples of an infant being baptized only adults. The ceremony is about raising the baby in the Christian faith and when the child is old enough to accept Jesus as their savior on their own accord then they baptize the child.

Does that make sense?
