Good Morning.

It is a rainy day here today. Cold and rainy make for unhappy days in the Brooks household. I need to do more laundry (winter clothes make for a lot more loads of laundry) and try to pick up the house before my mother comes down to watch the boys. I have a teacher's conference for Nick this afternoon. Hunter's is next Tuesday afternoon. Tomorrow is the dentist appointment and Thursday is the funeral. Friday night My Mom and I are taking the boys to the high school play which is the Wizard of Oz so that should be fun.

Yesterday someone posted that you can stack codes on Disneyshopping.com. There are the goofy coupons and Disney visa shipping code. Also a monthly code for Ap? or was it DVC? Anyway we have both and I can't seem to get on either site this morning. could someone PM me the 10% code please.

Thanks

Nevermind, I got onto the AP site with Chris's card?

Oh, you have us backwards! :rotfl: Kyle was ready to call his mom immediately! I don't even want to tell our parents yet. They don't know the whole process, timeline, etc (too much unsolicited advice from extended families, for starters). So they aren't expecting an answer, and another 2 weeks won't kill them. It's just too hard right now, I think, to explain to them (which, in turn (at least on Kyle's side), will be the rest of the world  ) that we're 4.5 weeks pregnant, and oh yeah, there may be one but quite possibly 2 in there. I'd rather at least know a) how many we have and b) that hearts are beating before I tell them. They've been through a lot as well, so that would make me feel better about telling them. Besides... that's only 2 weeks from today! It will be nice to tell them in person anyway, over Thanksgiving!

Oops, Sorry about that. Mommy brain and lack of sleep got the best of me all day yesterday. Sorry I got that mixed up. I see your point, I didn't realize that that your families weren't up on the timelines and everything. Thanksgiving would be an awesome time to tell everyone. I'm just so excited and happy for you both. This is a great positive step forward for you both. Tell Kyle if he still needs to tell someone right away, he can call anyone of us and we'll be just as excited as he is.

I hope everyone feels better soon! :wizard:

Princess was up last night with congestion, cough, etc. so we get to skip swimming today! (I'm not happy that she isn't feeling well, but I am happy we don't have to swim!) She doesn't seem to feel THAT bad. She does have a raging case of hiccups, though.

Ok as far as the water thing goes.. I'm with Elizabeth on this .. if there's bottle water in front of me i'll grab it and drink it ( we buy at least 3 cases of water a week ). Because of this i'm starting to think we should invext in a water cooler and just get the big 5 gallon bottle things. I refuse to drink our tap water as we have well water here and i don't think the water's been tested since my parents bought the house back in 87. bottled water will work for me.

Marci, I'm sorry about Jakes game last night, But what a great season for them WOOHOOO Congrats Jake. pixiedust: for Andrews game tonight.

Deb, I really hope it's not another UTI coming on, keep that water flowing!! Good Luck Getting all of the winter clothes out and and ready for the family. I'm looking for all the sales right now. I think after M&M's growth spurt last year .. she's gone up 2 sizes in her pants .. so as of now she's wearing RJ's old pants just so she has long pants till i can get her new clothes. I can't wait till they stop growing so fast lol. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your boss's family this week. this is such a hard time and i hope that they can all find peace.

Robyn, I'm glad Lucy had a good night sleep. It's so scary not knowing what's going on with them. I hope everything is ok with her.

Theresa, I'm sorry you had to go through that meeting yesterday. I hope that in doing that the rest of your time there is at least tollerable. pixiedust: for finding a great job and soon.

Vicki, WOOHOO for your bug !! between the cricut and the brother sewing/embroidering machine i've been hinting to Butch what I want for Christmas /Birthday/Anniversary lol
I'm not sure if my subtle approach has gotten into his subconscience. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Tammi, I hope Nickolas's project is coming along well, I loved the pictures from the pow wow. What fun and how interesting that must have been.

Tom, I keep forgetting to say this , The Christmas dress is absolutley stunning. I really wish i had the money to spend that you deserve for that dress, I would be "ordering" one for M&M this year. Keep up the excellent work my good man.

I'm trying to remember everything I wanted to comment on, I did hit the multi quote thingie newmerous times but some how they didn't show up ..so here is a blanket of pixiedust: and :grouphug: I hope everyone that was feeling under the weather is feeling better.

Can I take Jennifer's stance on this subject?
As of right now. The ept test says yes, I'm waiting on my Dr's office to call back and let me know when I can get in for my first appointment. We're looking at another June baby. I actually took the test almost 2 weeks ago now, and Butch has been in my ear , "We're not telling anyone yet. Wait till after your first appointment. " I'm just too excited. I've already told him" if this baby is a boy we're done, I'm getting cut, tied and burnt before I leave the hospital with the baby. " of course he asks, " what if it's a girl?" He really wants a boy of his own to carry on the name. ( He treats RJ as well as he treats Mary-Margaret it's just for names sake) " I guess we'll give it one more try, but if we don't have a boy by the time I turn 36( I added a year to this plan) my birthday present to myself is to get fixed, so keep that in mind lol " Butch was an only child and I'm one of 2. we both wanted 4 kids from the first time we talked about it. But each one of these 2 has taken a toll on my body. I'm just not sure how much it can take. So after this one we'll see where we stand. and move forward with our family of 5.

trying to sneak one by the DDA does not usually happen!!! Congratulations!!!:goodvibes

Heather - Oh, WOW! Congrats to you!!:dance3:

Marci - I am sorry Jake's team didn't win, but what an awesome season! Good luck with the game tonight! You might actually need a jacket for this one!:rotfl:

If anybody is truly desperate for pins there are some on Disney Shopping for $6, which would be $4.50 after the GOOFY25 code. I know the Visa code was VISA75 for free shipping on orders over $75, I can't remember the AP code but it was for 10%. I don't know if it will stack or not - last time it wouldn't. I'll see if I can find the code and go try it.:rolleyes1

OK, here's the scoop.
The Goofy code, the AP code and the Visa code all stack.
The pins for $5.99 work out to $4.04 each (before tax) and they will ship for free if you buy 19 or more.
The single pins at the Disney Store are $5.50 each, and if you have the 15% off coupon then those come out to $4.68 (before tax). So Disney Shopping is a better deal if you need 19 or more pins and you are worried about the counterfeits on EvilBay.:)

Deb - Do you still need the AP code?

 :cool1: Congratulations! Thinking boy thoughts for you!pirate: :mickeyjum :earsboy:

I am exhausted. I worked half a day, came home and then headed to school for Alyssa's teacher conference. Then took both kids to the pediatrician. Nicholas had a physical and they both got their flu shots. Then back home for an hour and back to school for Nicholas' conference. Why couldn't I get them back to back? Anyway, quick dinner and clean up and then over to CCD. Now I'm home, both kids are in bed, and I will be soon. I have to get up at 4 AM! YUCK!

So the conferences went well. Both kids are in the upper part of their class, and Nicholas' teacher is going to have him start working with what we call the FOCUS (accelerated/gifted) teacher next month to see how he does with the program. I think it will be great to challenge him more, but I know that will mean more work for me in the long run. UGH. Oh well, we do it for our kids, right?
Congrats to Nick & Alyssa!:woohoo:

Jake's team lost their game last night -- it was such a good game and I was so proud of the team! He also played much better last night. The other team ended up scoring a goal with only 3 minutes left to go ahead of us. Jake was disappointed as his brother has gotten to go to the tournament and he really wanted to go, but I reminded him that losing one game in a season is still a great season!

Tonight is Andrew's game to determine who goes to the tournament, so please send a little PD to him and the team for a good game.

I'm volunteering at the book fair at school for a couple of hours before school is out, then we'll head home for homework, dinner and then to the game.

Congrats to Jake on a game well played! Good luck to Andrew!:wizard:

Have fun at the book fair. I'm glad I had the foresight to say I could NOT volunteer at the book fair tomorrow. I still have so much do before I fly out on Thursday.

I took Lucy into the dr.s this afternoon as she had another screaming fit. She has had one Saturday night, Sunday night and this afternoon. I would have chalked it up to her teeth but she was not gnawing on her hands at all during any of these fits. She screams and screams and then stops and then is fine- laughing and smiling. I was sure that by the time I got her in the office she wouldn't be crying and I would look like a total idiot. Well she was happy as can be. Though thankfully she did start back up again.

Her ears checked out fine, no fever, all her joints seem to be in place. She did say Lucy's bowels were overactive and would probably end up with diarrhea. So we are to put her on pedialyte. And if she starts throwing up we need to call her immediately. We think it may be a reaction to the Rotavirus vaccine. And apparently a serious side effect can be that their intestines get blocked. I sure hope not as this vaccine was totally optional. So I guess we just wait and see.

Poor little thing.  I hope the doctor's can figure out what's going on, or that the screaming ceases as quickly as it started. I know that has to be scary.

I figured I would wait until I got home to "talk" about my meeting. It went the way I expected...the 2 men who it was aimed at played dumb and told me they had felt the same way (used and abused):headache: These men asked me to call them on it when they do it.....I told them I won't do that in front of church members and I am a nonconfrontational type anyway. I feel better but not really willing to stay there forever.

I felt bad for the people it wasn't aimed at....but I don't feel bad for bringing it up.

I'm so sorry, Theresa. Sometimes, don't you just love co-workers? Prayers and PD that things either dramatically improve, or that the perfect replacement job comes along for you! :wizard:

I always leave the kids I leave home a little "surprise". Joe asked me to make him a sodoku. So I just did the grids on my Mac and will use his Sodoku for Kids book as a guide. I bought some stickers to use instead of just numbers. I did some 4 x4 grids to make a few for Emma and did both 4 x6 and 9x9 grids for Joe. I did one of the 4x6 grids with the letters J O S E P H for him.;) I got some Cars folders to put them in. Maybe I'll print out a few coloring pages for them too.

I bought some cold medicine that required an ID tonight. I think I'll take some and go to bed. I took daytime cold medicine today but it made me all shakey.

Bernadette, sometimes you make me tired. :rotfl: ;) I'm sure the kids will love their surprises!

I hope you're feeling better today. No sickies!! You leave for Disney soon! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Ugh - a 4 a.m. wake-up call sounds mighty painful! I hope you're able to get through your busy day okay.

And congrats to Nicholas and Alyssa! Sounds like great reports all around! :goodvibes

Guess what I'm playing with tonight in my motel room? :dance3: :dance3: :cloud9:

Yay!!! Glad they had one for you! :thumbsup2

:scared1: Vicki - this is a G rated thread! ;) :rotfl2:

So we are in the slowest season at work. It is so dead. Hopefully things will pick up after Thanksgiving when Christmas Parties start. They are going to close the Restaurant on Thursday as the funeral is at 2 PM and it would be difficult for the owners to be in 2 places at once. I will try to make the funeral.

I was so sad to read about your boss' wife, Deb. I hope they're able to find some peace with this. I know it will be especially difficult with the holidays upcoming.

Glynis- I KNEW I forgot something this morning....please tell Jacob congratulations on his baptism this weekend. That is quite a step in his faith. :goodvibes

Excellent remembrance, Theresa! I second it! :goodvibes

That's cool! I absolutely adore tink, but was a little unsure when she was put into a parade. She's a tiny pixie, after all! I suppose it will make a lot of autograph collectors happy, though :) I'll have to keep an eye out for her!

I feel somewhat the same way - I'm not sure how I feel about her being "big", or potentially able to talk! But, I'm sure I'll get over it if I'm able to take a picture with her. ;)

Well, I'm already sick, sleeping so much I can't get anything done, etc. I'm hoping it will subside a bit now that the progesterone dose is lowered. It's really impossible to tell after being on all of these hormones what "pregnancy" symptoms I have, since I have all of them -- but so do people that don't end up pregnant! Ugh!

We transferred 2 beautiful ones... so we'll see!

I hope the hormones balance out more soon, so you can start feeling a bit more "normal". Best wishes again!

You can sign up on line to receive their ad, I believe. You can at least get the email newsletter with coupons and I think can also sign up for the mailer. The hard copy ad is sent to their mailing list only, not in papers or anything.

Tia, we actually get a JoAnn's ad in our Sunday paper every week - it includes the weekly coupons, too. :confused3

Good morning, DDA! My dizziness seems to have subsided at last. Of course, now I have a severe pain in my stomach, but I think that it's just muscular due to all of the coughing. Isn't fall just a ball of fun sometimes! At least I did manage to get 5 loads of laundry done yesterday and am halfway through the second today. After Phil gets to work, it's back to the playroom. (Why is it always the playroom? Oh yeah, cause I always do just as much as necessary for whatever given event and then push the rest aside. Maybe I'll actually finish this time.)

Have a good day everyone!

I hope the stomach pain goes away! Good luck with the playroom! :wizard:

Lindsay -- I'm not too busy to help if you need anything. I found that a lot of the things on the DCL packing list I didn't really need, much less for the shorter cruise. I'm sending PD for your brother!

I'm volunteering at the book fair at school for a couple of hours before school is out, then we'll head home for homework, dinner and then to the game.

Our outdoor temperature gauge registered 85 yesterday -- it was very warm! We are supposed to be in the mid-60s today -- yeah!

Have a good day, DDA!

Marci - yes, we won't go overboard with some of the things listed on there, and some things we won't need at all due to not having children. But, I had forgotten about possibly getting the "over the door" organizer, bills for tipping, copies of passports, etc. - it's been a while since I've read my Passporter, and I know if it were left up to my forgetful brain these days, we could end up forgetting some important stuff! You're so sweet to offer to help - I will let you know if anything pops up! :goodvibes

Congrats to Jake for a great season. I agree, one loss is nothing to sneeze at. Best of luck to Andrew and his team tonight! :wizard: :wizard:

And I'm with you - yay for cooler weather!!!! I feel more comfortable listening to Christmas music today. ;) Of course, it's supposed to be near 80 again this weekend.

My pins bags arrived yesterday. Ironically they did NOT require a signature, which is the excuse the tracking site gave for them not being delivered on Friday. Anyway, they are here and they look great! Now we all have a bag of our own for our pins!:cool1: I told DH that can be his anniversary present.:rotfl:

I am trying to decide if we need more pins.

Yay for no swimming! ;)

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Like Heidi said - mum's the word here - we won't tell a soul. I'll be thinking baby blue thoughts for you. ;)

Can I just take a moment to remind you that God still works miracles! After dozens of injections, lots of money, biopsies of places that shouldn't be poked with needles :rolleyes1 , etc....

I am definitely pregnant! :yay:

Of course, now I've joined the ranks of "normal" barely pregnant women who will worry for the next several weeks. But my beta today was great, if not high. :goodvibes We'll have a "head count" ultrasound in about 2 weeks! :rotfl:

I can't believe I'm talking about it this early, but I guess that's what happens when you have to go a bit less secretive route  Please continue to keep us in your prayers! We'll be a bit quiet about it for a while still, but are starting to get excited. For now, I'm mostly excited that my progesterone dose is being tapered. The wonders of medicated cycles.... I'll feel better pregnant than I did trying to get there!

Thanks again for all of your support!

:cheer2: :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: yah so glad all the sticky prayers worked.
I get to be an aunt again.

Jennifer, that's Wonderful news!!! I'm so excited and happy for you and Kyle. I've wanted to tell everyone since we found out and Butch is the one that wants to hold back. He says the same thing your mom and Kyle say and I am on the same boat as you. I want everyone to know, no matter what. I wish you a Happy, Healthy and Morning Sickness free Pregnancy. You will both remain in my prayers as all of this excitment continues. Congrats again!!

umm Heather is their something you need to tell us?

Congrats Heather

If you are paying for your Disney Shopping order with your Disney Visa you should use code SAVINGS instead of the AP code because the VISA code is 20% and stacks with Goofy and the free shipping over $75. Found that on the Budget Board and it works because I just tried it.;)

Jen the way we told our parents we were pregnant with Olivia. we were having thanksgiving dinner here at our house. Both sets of parents were here. I had a cake made with pink and blue booties on it and our due date with a question mark. I was going to wait till after we ate. But I was feeling so nauseated when we went to sit down to eat that we showed them the cake before we ate.

ARGH!! And I just placed my order last night. ;)

I need to get back in the habit of checking out the Budget Board more often!
