Jennifer, that's Wonderful news!!! I'm so excited and happy for you and Kyle. I've wanted to tell everyone since we found out and Butch is the one that wants to hold back. He says the same thing your mom and Kyle say and I am on the same boat as you. I want everyone to know, no matter what. I wish you a Happy, Healthy and Morning Sickness free Pregnancy. You will both remain in my prayers as all of this excitment continues. Congrats again!!

Oh, you have us backwards! :rotfl: Kyle was ready to call his mom immediately! I don't even want to tell our parents yet. They don't know the whole process, timeline, etc (too much unsolicited advice from extended families, for starters). So they aren't expecting an answer, and another 2 weeks won't kill them. It's just too hard right now, I think, to explain to them (which, in turn (at least on Kyle's side), will be the rest of the world  ) that we're 4.5 weeks pregnant, and oh yeah, there may be one but quite possibly 2 in there. I'd rather at least know a) how many we have and b) that hearts are beating before I tell them. They've been through a lot as well, so that would make me feel better about telling them. Besides... that's only 2 weeks from today! It will be nice to tell them in person anyway, over Thanksgiving!

I am exhausted. I worked half a day, came home and then headed to school for Alyssa's teacher conference. Then took both kids to the pediatrician. Nicholas had a physical and they both got their flu shots. Then back home for an hour and back to school for Nicholas' conference. Why couldn't I get them back to back? Anyway, quick dinner and clean up and then over to CCD. Now I'm home, both kids are in bed, and I will be soon. I have to get up at 4 AM! YUCK!

So the conferences went well. Both kids are in the upper part of their class, and Nicholas' teacher is going to have him start working with what we call the FOCUS (accelerated/gifted) teacher next month to see how he does with the program. I think it will be great to challenge him more, but I know that will mean more work for me in the long run. UGH. Oh well, we do it for our kids, right?

Way to go Nicholas and Alyssa!

:scared1: Vicki - this is a G rated thread! ;) :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

So we are in the slowest season at work. It is so dead. Hopefully things will pick up after Thanksgiving when Christmas Parties start. They are going to close the Restaurant on Thursday as the funeral is at 2 PM and it would be difficult for the owners to be in 2 places at once. I will try to make the funeral.

Your boss' family will be in my thoughts Thursday.

I'm trying to drink more water. I tend to not drink water on a consistant basis, but I really am trying to drink more.

It's so hard but I notice a huge difference when I can get it down. I got one of those Weight Watcher's insulated cups, it holds 32oz. I fill it up in the morning and drink it. If I don't fill it up I forget to drink.

Thanks!

Glynis- I KNEW I forgot something this morning....please tell Jacob congratulations on his baptism this weekend. That is quite a step in his faith. :goodvibes

Ditto!

I'm so sorry that she's having a reaction. I can tell you, though, it's better than the Rotovirus! Jacob came down with that when he was 11 months old. He threw up for 12 hours straight. Poor little guy. By the time we got him to the doctor, his veins had all collapsed, and they couldn't get an IV in. They tried in his arms, his hands, his feet, and his jugular. They finally did get one in, but it was awful. He was so listless and really "death" like. It scared me so badly! He was in the hospital for 5 days, and I don't think I slept the entire time he was there. Once he was released, and we got him home, his developmental skills had regressed severely. He couldn't walk anymore, couldn't even sit up on his own. He had to relearn how to do all those things.

Horrible memories!

I so agree, Emma had a bout with it at 10 months and it was horrible. She had the same thing happen. She had started walking a few days before and had to relearn too. But I wish I knew what was bothering her. I hate not knowing.

Good night, everyone! I got the kitchen cleaned top to bottom today. Tomorrow is the guest room and the playroom. Wish me luck!

Are you for hire?!?

Good morning.

I won't be back on until tonight, so I hope everyone has a great day.

You too!

Well, I'm already sick, sleeping so much I can't get anything done, etc. I'm hoping it will subside a bit now that the progesterone dose is lowered. It's really impossible to tell after being on all of these hormones what "pregnancy" symptoms I have, since I have all of them -- but so do people that don't end up pregnant! Ugh!

We transferred 2 beautiful ones... so we'll see!

Enjoy the sleep while you can!!!

That's when we told everyone about Lucy! The only drawback to finding out so early is that it makes the 9 months seem so much longer. Good luck!

Robyn, how was Lucy's night? I hope she is feeling better! :wizard:

She slept through so I guess she is fine.

Good night, everyone! I got the kitchen cleaned top to bottom today. Tomorrow is the guest room and the playroom. Wish me luck!

Way to go! The playroom is back on my list for today as well. Let's hope I can actually get done what I intend to this time.

Thanks :) I'll definitely have to watch for sales or something... but we don't get a Joann's ad. I'll have to try and remember to look online. I pass one almost every day going from one office to the other, so it wouldn't be hard to pick up!

You can sign up on line to receive their ad, I believe. You can at least get the email newsletter with coupons and I think can also sign up for the mailer. The hard copy ad is sent to their mailing list only, not in papers or anything.

Good morning, DDA! My dizziness seems to have subsided at last. Of course, now I have a severe pain in my stomach, but I think that it's just muscular due to all of the coughing. Isn't fall just a ball of fun sometimes! At least I did manage to get 5 loads of laundry done yesterday and am halfway through the second today. After Phil gets to work, it's back to the playroom. (Why is it always the playroom? Oh yeah, cause I always do just as much as necessary for whatever given event and then push the rest aside. Maybe I'll actually finish this time.)

Have a good day everyone!

I'm trying to drink more water. I tend to not drink water on a consistant basis, but I really am trying to drink more.

I hope you are feeling better today! I can't drink a GLASS of water for anything, but I can down a bottle of water in a couple of minutes. If there are bottles of water where I can grab them easily I can drink 4 in a day. I have really gotten away from that at this job though because they have a Brita pitcher instead of buying bottles.

Thanks. He's really excited about it. He's done a lot of studying and feels ready to take this step.

Congrats to Jacob!:yay:

I hope you feel better soon! My problem is with estrogen. My Depo shots are progesterone and I don't have any issues at all. I can't take BC pills with estrogen in them - they make me violently ill. Menopause may kill me if I have to take estrogen.

Can I just take a moment to remind you that God still works miracles! After dozens of injections, lots of money, biopsies of places that shouldn't be poked with needles :rolleyes1 , etc....

I am definitely pregnant! :yay:

Of course, now I've joined the ranks of "normal" barely pregnant women who will worry for the next several weeks. But my beta today was great, if not high. :goodvibes We'll have a "head count" ultrasound in about 2 weeks! :rotfl:

I can't believe I'm talking about it this early, but I guess that's what happens when you have to go a bit less secretive route  Please continue to keep us in your prayers! We'll be a bit quiet about it for a while still, but are starting to get excited. For now, I'm mostly excited that my progesterone dose is being tapered. The wonders of medicated cycles.... I'll feel better pregnant than I did trying to get there!

Thanks again for all of your support!

And to think I was just going to go to bed and not catch up on this thread!

Wonderful News!

We will be praying that you have an uneventful pregnancy!

Congratulations!

I hope you feel better soon!

Congratulations to Jennifer and Kyle!

Robyn -- I'm glad Lucy slept well. I hope she is feeling better today. It is scary when you can tell something is wrong but can't tell what it is. PD to her and to you!

Tammi -- congrats on the great conferences for your kids!

Lindsay -- I'm not too busy to help if you need anything. I found that a lot of the things on the DCL packing list I didn't really need, much less for the shorter cruise. I'm sending PD for your brother!

Jake's team lost their game last night -- it was such a good game and I was so proud of the team! He also played much better last night. The other team ended up scoring a goal with only 3 minutes left to go ahead of us. Jake was disappointed as his brother has gotten to go to the tournament and he really wanted to go, but I reminded him that losing one game in a season is still a great season!

I'm volunteering at the book fair at school for a couple of hours before school is out, then we'll head home for homework, dinner and then to the game.

Our outdoor temperature gauge registered 85 yesterday -- it was very warm! We are supposed to be in the mid-60s today -- yeah!

Have a good day, DDA!

 Lucy

Good reports! :yay:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yes, this is what we are going through with my granddaughter. She hates drinking water, but keeps getting uti. So I have the Crystal Light add ins. She likes the lemonade and the iced tea flavors. She'll shake that in her bottle of water and it makes it taste better. She just can't stomach a ton of plain water. The doctor sort of scared her though and told her if she didn't drink enough water, instead of utis she was going to have kidney problems. But she still hates the taste of water and we even have spring water delivered!

I hate drinking plain water so I make crystal light or buy flavored water. I've been taking my 32 oz water bottle to work and drinking that filled with Crystal Light Immunity :thumbsup2 Might as well kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak.

I'm so sorry that she's having a reaction. I can tell you, though, it's better than the Rotovirus! Jacob came down with that when he was 11 months old. He threw up for 12 hours straight. He couldn't walk anymore, couldn't even sit up on his own. He had to relearn how to do all those things.

Horrible memories!

Nick and Hunter had the rotovirus at the same time. Hunter was the first to be hospitalized, he was so lithargic. My parents kept Nick as he didn't seem nearly as ill, but the next day our pediatrician decided to keep him too as his bloodwork was aweful. The were nice enough to put them in the same room so that we could care for them both at the same time. Not pleasant memories. As far as I know Colby either hasn't had it or didn't get it nearly as bad.

Ugh!

Wow, sounds like your body has a lot going on. Will the extra hormones end at some point or will you need extra through the whole pregnancy? This is so exciting.

You and me both, but it's hard isn't it?! I swear, I used to drink less than 1 glass of water per week. WEEK! My mom and Kyle would harass me about it, but my kidneys worked great and I didn't like it! :snooty: This year, though, I have been making a conscious effort to up my daily intake. I would say I drink about 32-48oz every .. other day or so. Sometimes only 3 days per week.

Now, I'm determined to get my whole 64 ounces in, which I have only done maybe 2 other times in my life aside from when I was dancing, running, etc and actually needed it.

Can I tell you, that I peed 11 times in the 6 hours I was at the center yesterday?! :rotfl: I remember that your body gets used to it, but it better soon! Otherwise people will start asking me if I'm pregnant or something! ;)

Really though, good for you! I'm so guilty of not staying hydrated, and I definitely know it's so important for so many body functions! Do you like the flavor packets (Propel, Crystal Light, etc)? That's the only way I can get it done!

Drink the crystal light and try flavored water. Grape is my favorite with orange or raspberry as my second/third choices.

:wizard: :wizard: We will all be waiting for your ultrasound. Imagine your family's surprise on Thanksgiving. You all have so much to be thankful for this year :thumbsup2

I was wondering that same thing! Heather?!?!

I read her post several times wondering the same time. I think she may be referring to her past pregnancies, but maybe not?

I hope you feel better soon!

Congratulations to Jennifer and Kyle!

Robyn -- I'm glad Lucy slept well. I hope she is feeling better today. It is scary when you can tell something is wrong but can't tell what it is. PD to her and to you!

I'm glad that Jake had a nice season. While it would have been nice to continue on, I'm sure you will all appreciate a break. With the holidays coming you'll be busy enough with other activities and it will be nice not having sporting events all of the time.

Our temps have been dropping into the low 30s or high 20s at night and climbing into the low 60s during the day. I've had to drag my winter coat our :scared:

Heather, are you trying to tell us something?

Inquiring minds want to know!

That is good news! I hope the improvements continue through today. :wizard: little Lucy!

Thanks, glad you are feeling a little better too. Good luck on the playroom.
