Late night update on Rees:

November 11, 2007 at 11:35 PM EST

Rees projectile vomited everything he had for dinner, pureed scrambled eggs and ice cream. They gave him nausea medicine and it helped. He did eat another vanilla ice cream later and it was ok. I have no idea if it will stop us from coming home in the am. I will have to wait and talk to the doctors. I just want him to be well, for him to be able to eat and feel good, for us to come home. Keep the prayers coming. They are desperately needed.

Morning DDA! I forgot to mention yesterday that Bob and I ended up going to the silent auction at church! Bob won 18 golf balls ($12) and I got a pound of scrap fabric for $10. :rotfl: Which can be used by my friend for Christmas presents - I hinted around to her that I'd love some of the towels that you hang over the stove door handle... :teeth:

Ann Marie, glad that you all had a good time in the city.

Good morning, DDA!

Vicki - You are off today, so I know TWO people who are off! (But I am still not one of them.)

Chanon - What did you end up donating in for the auction? Did anybody get anything really cool? Does Bob play golf?:confused3

Denise - I am sorry to hear that Rees is still having problems! I hope he is feeling better this morning and that he gets to go home!:wizard:

I am off to get DS ready for school. Princess has school today, too. Momboss had started a Target list on Saturday so I'll probably go there this morning. I also need to pull Princess's summer clothes out of her closet and put them in a Rubbermaid bin so we have room for her winter stuff. Not that it's cold. I think we're still going to be near 80 all week.

I just through one for Splash away the other day!!!! :rotfl2:

I'm glad you all enjoyed your day in the city. Do they think the strike will last long?

I may have a FP or two kicking around :)

Hunter walks around the house wearing one of the Dream Fastpasses that we won :rotfl2:

Tammi, I hope that your soon to be X gets nothing but the shaft. It was HIS decision to leave so let him suffer with the consequences :thumbsup2

I'm off to school for the awards assembly then we'll head out to run errands. Hopefully I can get everything done before I need to pick up Logan.

Welcome Crystal! I don't venture out out of this main thread much on this board -- it was great to see your designs!

Tammi -- It sounds like you have a good attitude about your ex-DH and his crazy tactics. PD for strength and that you have a good judge that will throw those idiotic requests out!

Denise -- sending tons of Prayer and PD to Rees, you and the rest of the Figs!

Jen -- still sending prayers for Grandpa. :wizard:

Anne Marie -- it sounds like y'all had a good time in the city. I'm so glad!

Only basketball practice tomorrow night for both boys and soccer practice for Jake on Thursday. It's a very light sports week and I intend to take advantage of it and get somethings done around the house. We spent hours working on Mom's closet again last night, and have the last of the clothes sorted out. We have to distribute them to the different places they are going, hopefully his week. We have so much more to do with drawers, cabinets etc., but it gets easier each time.

Have a good day, DDA!

Good morning, DDA!

There is no school today, so that means no preschool for me! :thumbsup2 I still have plenty to do today (and three kids to chauffeur to various locations), but I am happy. I love the preschool kids, but I just needed an extra day off. The best part is that school district that the preschool is in has Friday off for parent-teacher conferences, and the school district that my kids are in doesn't! Dh and I are spending Friday together (unless Friday is the day that they ship the new product at work). Dh was supposed to have to go to Poughkeepsie today and have tomorrow off, but now he is calling into the meeting, because they don't want to pay for him to go down. He is still taking a little time off tomorrow, though, because our elementary schools have 4 half days this month. I can't get home in time to get Miles.

Matthew went to NYC for the day on Saturday with the French and drama clubs. They were supposed to have a little time to shop, see Phantom of the Opera, and then have dinner at a French restaurant. They left before the strike was called, but I'm sure that they would have gone anyway. They just ended up with more free time. We should be getting a refund of the show price.

Laura goes to NYC for the day in December with the orchestra and jazz band. They are going for a clinic with the NY Pops and the holiday concert. They will also have a little time for shopping/exploring. She is very excited to see NYC at Christmas time.

I'm glad that they are getting the experience, because (and I feel really silly admitting this), I am scared to go to NYC. Maybe I should arrange to meet Ann Marie there someday, and she can show me around. :)

It's been busy around here, but nothing really interesting has been going on.

I will try to be back to read, but someone will probably end up stealing my computer. Miles wants eggs and toast right now, so I have to run.

I will say some extra prayers

Good Morning Everyone.

I hope everybody has a great day. The kids are off today but its so chilly that i think we are going to stay in and watch movies and play games. DD8 just bought a littlest pet shop game and has been dying to play it with me and DH.

Don't be scared, its a great place to just walk around and explore. I love the city.
I really want to go back, but am having trouble getting someone to go with me. I even offered to pay my sisters bus fare and buy lunch.

I am scared to go to NYC.

Please don't feel bad, Elizabeth. Really, I'm okay. I do have my moments where the stress is just so overwhelming, but I'm strong and I'll get through it.

His dd was there about 2 years ago, when she was 3. I'm not sure how much she remembers or just thinks she remembers. Of course, my kids want to do everything, and we still haven't figured out how to slow down and leave things out until the next trip. Bob actually told me he was excited for our trip! He's up for making the tshirt and even got transfer paper for me when he was out doing errands today. Now we just have to decide if we want long sleeved tshirts or sweatshirts. Last time we went in Dec. we did the long tees with turtlenecks.

It sounds like DS's friend is in for a miserable trip. Well, maybe not from their perspective, but we all know how wonderful it COULD be!

I need to get to bed. Tomorrow is NOT a holiday for me. Have a good night everyone.

Tammi, I'm sorry that you have to go through all of this.

pixiedust: for a terrific Christmas-time WDW trip with Alyssa and Nicholas (and Bob and his dd)!

Well, then, maybe I need to arrange to meet you there sometime. :)

August 18-29. I find the later in August the less crowded. My kids don't go back to school until after labor day so this time frame works well. Don't be scared of the heat. The Sunday we were in Epcot (you remember the ice cubes?:rotfl2: ) was about as hot as it was in August to give you an idea.

Thanks for all the notes about the show yesterday. We went into the city anyway to make the most of it. We went over to the theater first & saw all the picket lines. A man from the theater handed out flyers saying if we purchased via credit card we would get an automatic refund so at least we weren't out the $. My kids did not know until the guy was talking to us about it so we did have to explain that we had tickets & what was going on. They were dissapointed but I told them we had a whole day to play in the city. I got lots of hugs thanking me & Dana for our "surprise" that never happened. So we went to American Girl Doll (the place is already mobbed, can't think what its going to be like for the holidays! ), Nintendo World, saw the tree at rock center. The scafolding is up so they can hang the lights. Of course we hit the World of Disney & we got some ornaments there. We had dinner at ESPN Zone. Dana & Daniel love this place. the kids (& Dana) played video games there until midnight! So the day was not lost & we had a great time together.

I had to be at work at 8am for the holiday meeting this morning so now I am feeling it. We have some real good Disney fans working at my store. Its so cool, we were talking about fast passes & an associate pulls out Fp for peter pan to show everyone! Ok, who has FP in their wallet???? Real disney fan!!!
Anyway, then I came home & took Katie & Sophie shopping. Daniel went to a b-day party. I got Katie a jacket at Ltd too & was on the search for Ugg boots for her. Nordstroms was out, Bloomingdales too...so I came home & ordered them online from Zappos.

Well thats the scoop! Have a great night!

I would love to do WDW that time of August again. Unfortunately, school sports start by mid-August.

See, you make NYC sound so fun, but I wouldn't know how to get around, and what to do, etc. Matthew said that they spent a lot of time just walking. I guess they were looking for a particular store (don't remember what), they ended up walking many, many blocks and then it wasn't there. But they did have a good time doing a lot of nothing.

It's been a bit of a whirlwind day here. We got the garage and basement cleaned. All of the summer toys/equipment is now in the basement and I can park my car in the garage :cool1: I also got the outside garlands hung on the front porch and the deck. It's at least a start. I was so cold that I had to stop an take a hot bath to thaw out. Then I planned to head to Kohl's and JcPenney's to get boxes to wrap Christmas gifts in. I realized that my garage door opener needed new batteries so I ran into Sears to get them. Turns out that Sears was having a Friends and Family sale. I was able to purchase the same TV that is on Sale on Black Friday for $999 today for a tiny bit less. The best part is no lines on Black Friday :cool1: I called my Mother and she met me and was able to purchase the washer and dryer that she wanted for the cheapest price she has seen in the 2 months that she has been looking. The also had door prize drawings. Mom won a cordless phone and I won a 2 mug travel set. I managed to buy some groceries in a rush. When I got home Chris asked me about deals one Playstation 3 of course the phones at Sears were turned off at 6 PM so we ended up driving back over. They didn't have any, but Chris won a windup flashlight in the door prize driving. We pick up the tv tomorrow. Of course we don't have a stand to put it on, but that is for another day.

I think that might be the tv dh wants. (If he would ever really make up his mind!) We have an old (about 20 years old) 19" tv in the living room. It is getting darker and hard to see, but dh can't make up his mind to spend that much money. Neither of us are good at crowds, etc, so I doubt we'll be out on Black Friday. Congrats on the deals/prizes! We have a friend who manages a Sears, but he didn't invite us to Friends and Family this year.

Hi guys! Busily working on Christmas stuff for Evil-bay. Leighanna wanted to "model" tonight, so I finally got some pics uploaded.

Debbie, I know I missed you, but have a great vacation! I think we might try to squeeze a quick trip in around this time next year! We will see!

WOW! Those are fantastic, Tom!
