DH and I are asking ourselves that very question right now.

The thing is, she was griping about my sister's house being about 100 miles away and how she didn't want to drive ALL the way over here and then drive ALL the way back over there to spend the night. That was when we were discussing what day she was going to see us. Wednesday and Saturday are the only days she has "available". So I told her I preferred to see her Wednesday since we're having breakfast and seeing "Enchanted" with the uncles on Saturday. She complained some more about driving ALL the way over here and ALL the way back to my sister's. Hello? She has to drive ALL the way back to KANSAS! And she has to pretty much go north past where my sister lives to get back to Kansas. I guess maybe we are supposed to invite them to spend the night here either Wednesday or Saturday? I already specifically told her she is NOT to show up here at 2 AM tomorrow, but I have a feeling that was her plan. Drive straight here, give me the pig, then go to my sister's house either Wed. PM or Thur. AM.

DH has a crazy day tomorrow so when he gets home we'll (DS and me) need to go out somewhere so he can rest between shifts. Mother likes to park herself at our kitchen table and just stay there, but she doesn't like to be told that she has to be quiet so DH can sleep. That was the big issue last time.

If I have the pig she will have to make the drive to my house TWICE during her stay, which I thought was a BIG problem. Unless she abandons the pig here like she did with the goldfish. But DS likes the fish so that worked out OK.;)

Guinea pigs aren't quiet! That is another issue you have with it.

Ok, but does it have to be alive when I give it back??? :lmao:

I don't know. She didn't say.:confused3 Brother & Sister managed to kill the classroom fish about 3 times in one weekend. ExDadboss had to keep going to buy replacements that looked like the same fish!:rotfl2:

Our new set of DVC contracts came today. We are signing them now. We'll go get the one notarized in the morning and send them back out.

Yay!!!

Thank you Elizabeth! I had looked here earlier but did not see this set.

Your welcome!

Janet - have you looked at the Black Friday sales on luggage?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I got back from the u/s and went to our Blue Ash office, and as I walked in I found out we were in the midst of an unannounced state survey. Sweet. I already was going to wait until I got back to my office to post because it's a bit less out in the open, but I got stuck there muhc longer than I ever anticipated. Now I'm here, and can finally post!

It's all good news. We saw two beautiful blobs, both with nice flickering heartbeats! My RE was slow to congratulation and quick to remind me of the "vanishing twin syndrome" that is still a possibility. (Research shows that very likely, 1 in 8 or 1 in 10 pregnancies starts out as multiples, but before a normal pregnancy gets to u/s, the "extra" baby doesn't make it but is reabsorbed (as bad as that sounds) before anyone can tell the difference.

That being said, there is also a lot of data that says once a heartbeat is detected, the m/c rate drops quite a bit, so here's hoping I'm really going to have two babies!

Especially with this busy day at work, it's all very surreal and I have had about zero emotion about it. I feel less nervous, and that's about it. I'm sure it will hit me at some point!

Sorry to make you wait!

WOOOHOOO!!!!! Loving the sound of things. I am SOOO excited for you one or two. (But two sounds great!!!!) Our prayers will continue throughout for a safe, healthy pregnancy. Congratulations!!!

Ok what about this set? The wheels are recessed & that is what I want. Sorry don't mean to drive you all crazy either lol

Which color, plum or blue? I like the plum but Gary said the boys might not want to use it if I get that color. I'm so confused

That looks like a great set. My preference would be the plum. Are you thinking the boys would use it for trips without you? If this is something you expect they wil be using for solo trips or something, you probably should go with the blue for their sake. If it is for family trips, then they can suffer with the plum! :lmao:

Hi all...

I stopped to the DVC store out by me to pick up my member xmas ornament. I am guessing it will be the same one they give out at the Merry Mixer. If you get a chance to go....I thought the ornament was cute.

Glynis, I am so sorry about your grandmother. You and your entire family are in my prayers. I hope that on Thanksgiving you all can find peace and remember all the wonderful times together.

I'm loving all the pictures of the recent trips. WDW looks so beautiful at Christmas-time.

Lindsay, have fun on your cruise and at the Grand!

I am so far behind and would love if someone could catch me up on the big stuff. I will hopefully be on more often now that we're home! I just want to wish you each a very Happy Thanksgiving. Your support, as always, has been most appreciated and a true blessing to us all.

We're so glad that you all are home together for the holiday. I hope that tonight is a better night for Rees. Please know that our thoughts and prayers continue always. :grouphug:

Terra's ornament came from Emma today. She LOVES it!!! It is the bouncy Goofy ornament from DS and she had been playing with it every time we were in the store. She also got a puzzle, kalidescope, yoyo, pencil and eraser. Everything was a big hit. Thanks, Emma!!

Good evening everyone! Just taking a quick break from my cleaning, etc. I need to get pie making soon, but the dining room needs some more work as well. I've been a little distracted as Phil seems to be developing bronchitis and Rachel has some tummy thing going on. She got off of the bus telling me that she "kind of accidentally threw up on the bus." I asked how you kind of accidentaly throw up and she just laughed. At the time she said it made her stomach feel better after being upset on the ride home, but she's complaining about it hurting again. Luckily, there is no school tomorrow so she can rest and hopefully be up to par by Thanksgiving. Of course, there goes my extra set of helping hands, but I'll live. ;)

Elizabeth - Hope the pig doesn't show up at your house tonight

Vicki - Congrats on the contract signing!

Janet - Good luck on the luggage decision. I could really use a smaller piece or two, but just hate spending the money and making the decision of what. For now, I'll just keep stealing Mom's when I need it. ;)

Clare - It's so good to see you around some lately. Always a great surprise!

Lyndsey - Happy packing! I know that you'll be ready in plenty of time. Just in case I get distracted over the next few days....have a great trip!! I'm very excited to hear all about it.

And now, I've got to get back to work. Guess I'd better figure out what I can feed a sick tummy and nasty cough (the cough-er is asking for chocolate ice cream so maybe a run to the store is in order). Have a good night everyone!

Bernadette and Debbie - loving the photos! Debbie, what were your dates again? I can't believe how empty the MK looked in your pics! I'd give anything for that!

I think I am in denial that I have to be packed and ready to go in about 40 hours! :scared: :faint: (Elizabeth, you can begin hyperventilating for me!)
Thanks! Debbie arrived on Sunday of Veteran's Day weekend. I went home on the Tuesday after. The crowds were pretty low at MK that Tuesday but not as empty as she pictured later in the week.

You will have an awesome trip!!!
My next set of luggage is going to be something unusual - no black or navy! I want something that is going to stand out on the carousel when it comes off the plane.
Vicki-you would LOVE my friends Diane Von Furstenberg "Tigger" bag. It is an orangy gold with black tiger stripes and black patten leather trim. Unfortunately she bought it over a year ago at Marshalls so I couldn't find it on the net. Diane Von Furstenberg does have some other "wild" looking bags though. My friend has been happy with the quality of her bag.

When did I become a Griswald?:headache:

I called my mother to see if she is on the road yet. Nope. She just picked up her rental car. (BUT she did get a rental car instead of making the trip in her rickety old car, so that's one good thing.)
My sister answered my mother's cell phone and asked me if Mother had asked me about keeping the guinea pig here in my house.:scared1: Apparently my sister has a guinea pig. Instead of finding someone to feed it while they are away they decided to BRING the poor thing and now they can't figure out what to do with it when they arrive. I am sure Arabella would LOVE to snack on a guinea pig, or at the very least tip over the cage and chase the pig around. I am not going to offer to put it in DS's room because 1) he has been sneezing to beat the band and 2) I shouldn't have to provide livestock lodging. The sister they are staying with said they can put the pig in the garage but I guess Mother decided it would be more comfortable here with ME! I told her no.

Let me just pop on down to the tattoo place so I can get a nice BIG "Bad Daughter" across my forehead.:sad2: That's what this will turn into, because I am always the bad daughter.
Your mom will only be mad at you until she returns the rental car and they charge her a "clean up" fee. Then she'll be mad at them.

I too was wondering how your DH would sleep with a pig in the house.

I would get plum but just to add to the confusion....how about this one in orange?

Cute!

Glynis -  . I'm so sorry to hear of the loss to your family, but how happy your grandparents must be to be together again. :goodvibes

Thank you, Lindsay. I know that they are happy being together again.

Jennifer,
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!

Janet,
I think plum is fine. That set looks really nice.
Great pictures of Vegas!

Elizabeth,
My family (well my mother & dana's family are a PITA) so I can sympathize. Next year I told Dana I want to go to Disney for either T-day or Christmas break... I don't care how crowded it will be I just want to have a holiday without them!;)

Not a bad daughter at all!!! I would definitely not provide lodging for a guinea pig!!! That seems like a lot of nerve!

We had some great sales today..the store was very busy. I bought Dana one of his presents...Its a light blue dress shirt with a small mickey embroidered above the chest pocket. I got the last one at 40% plus my discount. Also got Sophie a Giselle doll for Christmas.:thumbsup2 All the Enchanted stuff is flying out the door!

We are going to see Enchanted tomorrow..looking forward to it!
