I should have known better leaving for the weekend before fully catching up lol .. as of right now i'm still 47 pages behind .. and i still have to finish the kid's halloween costumes tonight .. we've all been sick since late last week and M&M's had it the worst .. her meds are doing a reversal on her .. instead of knocking her out she's wide awake .. uggghhh i'll catch up before Fri I promise LOL ..

I'm glad that everyone's made it back safe and sound even with slight airline problems.. I'm so happy to hear all about your trips and seeing all of the pictures makes me feel like i was kinda there with you all.

i'm gonna say now so i don't forget later

thoughts and prayers to all the families out in California. I hope they've come through all of the horribleness of the fires and the smoke.

Jennifer congrats on Virginia's Birth!!! you all looked beautiful in the picture of you 3 girls laying in bed together.

Jennifer I hope you get good news soon all of my crossibles are crossed for you and kyle.

Jen, I'm glad your dad is doing better and home now.

Deb Happy Belated Birthday for Hunter. I hope the pizza party went well. Glad the UTI is all gone and you had a clean bill of health. Prayers to your boss's family I hope that they can all find peace and that she doesn't suffer.

Tom congrats on the dresses in the first round, I see this round is going just as well!!! Kudo's to you!!

I'm trying to think of what else i remember reading .. maybe by the time i finish catching up i'll remember more. if not i'm sorry everytime i do the multi quote, i wind up somehow always loosing all of the quotes. ..

ok back to catching up :D

Heather thank you.
I hope you all get to feeling better fast. Can't wait to see the costumes on your kiddos.

I just found out that there is an American Indian Pow-Wow at our Fairgrounds this weekend. Perfect timing for Nicholas' Indian project that he has to do. I think we'll go and take a bunch of pictures. Maybe he will want to do a photo poster instead of making a dream catcher.

I think you should try August. Did Anne Marie think August was much worse than Oct? I find August easier because I am used to the heat at home.
Well yes & no. When we went in Oct 2005 I felt it was as hot as August. This trip the weather (except for one day) was very mild. We had a nice breeze most of the time. This past August was a hot as "HE double hockey sticks" & October was beautiful. I really want to go in October 2008, but with 2 trips already booked I don't know if its going to happen. I was thinking about switching my trip from Aug to Oct but friends of ours will be there then & also we'd get less time at Disney since they are in school in Oct. Hmmmmm......

We carved the pumpkins as well. Emma hated scooping the guts out but Molly loved it! I think she would have climbed inside to get them all out if I would have let her.
Elizabeth- this one's for you!!

Great pictures!!!!

Did that work? Why did you not share that tidbit in August?;)
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Well now you know for next summer!:rotfl2:

I got an email from Kathrin today that she had heard back from the company in Boston that she really was interested in. However, they are not interested in her right now. :( I know she has to be so disappointed. :sad1:
Oh I am so sorry. Something great will come her way!:wizard:

Not sure where the years went...but Christopher turned 10 today! He keeps saying "I am no longer a single digit midget"

Happy Birthday Christopher!!!!!!!!!

The AP news is getting worse. Not only is the discount a flat $50, it is only valid during the week. Friday and Saturday nights are rack rate!:scared1:
I wonder if Bounce Back discounts all of the nights or just the weekdays? Crap. IF we can get in on Bounce Back it doesn't start until 8/10, so I really need DH to be off 8/8 - 8/18 so the expensive part of our trip will be during the promo. I can do Pop with DS starting either 8/1 or 8/3. If I have to pay rack rate for 8/1 and 8/2 we will stay home until 8/3! If DH gets vacation starting 8/1 I guess we will just deal with it and go 8/1.
:scared1:  That stinks!

Jake got artist of the month for the fourth year in a row -- he was psyched! When he told me, I thought maybe it was because he has the art teacher wrapped around his finger, but I actually like it.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
Wow! How cool is that! Congrats Jake!!!:cheer2:

  That stinks. Has she heard from the second company?

tell her I am so sorry...but the right job is out there for her.

I'm so sorry for Kathrin. The right job will come along soon, I know.

I'm so sorry. Tell Kathrin that "The Company" is the one that missed out on a good thing in her!

Thanks everyone. She is really upset today and there is nothing I can do to make it better. She has not heard back from the second company yet, although she really wasn't expecting to hear from them for a couple of weeks. They were up-front about that. Marci - I will pass along your sentiments. Very nicely said. :goodvibes

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRISTOPHER! And, WTG, JAKE!! :yay:

I don't have time to be creative today so I'm going to scraplift this wonderful one. Happy Halloween DDA

Jake's Picture is wonderful!!! I love it!!

I was realizing how woefully underclothed I am for the fall/winter espescially since I am looking for a new job...so I am heading tomorrow to pay extreme prices for clothes. :headache:

Good luck to you!!

Check out Kohl's and JcPenney's. They often have decent sales going on.

I got up this morning and dug into my sewing projects. I made 7 pot holders which have been in my to do pile for months. I had planned to sell them at AJ's during foliage, but that didn't happen. They are quite nice though so maybe I'll make a few as Christmas gifts for my hard to shop for relatives.

I have done laundry and pulled everything out for trick or treat tonight. I have to be at work by 4 PM so I needed to be organized in order to get the kids ready and to my parent's house before work. I think I've got things under control. I also called Chanon and bought US tickets for next October. They have no expiration date until after first use so even if we cancel the trip we will eventually use them  I guess I'd better get myself ready before Colby wakes from his nap as he will want to be instantly transformed into Count Dracula. We need to leave in less than an hour to pick up the older boys anyway.

Have a fun and safe Halloween.

That sounds perfect! Have fun!!:goodvibes

OK. I think I am losing the last of my mind. Does anybody have the YOMD refillable mugs? Are the lids ALL blue, regardless of the handle color? Because I think I have been looking for lids we never had. I see we have 2 "extra" blue lids and the obvious explanation is that ALL of the lids were blue to begin with.:rolleyes1

Love this one!!!!:goodvibes

I am wearing my blue Mickey ears that light up. The people coming up to the front desk are loving it. Took Chucky downstairs to show to the seniors. He was a hit.

Happy Halloween everyone. Surprisingly enough, no one comes around our neighborhood anymore to trick or treat, so I save by not having to buy any candy. :woohoo:
