Yes, that is good for me. It will be just me and the kids.

Garrett's birthday is Jan. 3rd. How wrong would I be to let him wear a birthday button the last couple of days at Disney during our Dec. trip? His birthday is 6 days after we leave.
Not wrong at all. My girls wore their buttons (both Dec babies) the week we were there.

I think I will get him one, I know he would get a kick out of it! This is the closest to his birthday that we will be at Disney for a while.

Now if I could stand the heat & humidity(the Oct. trip was hot enough for me) Riley & I could maybe sometime celebrate our birthdays together in August at Disney.
Oh its not that bad!!! Come when I am there in August!!!:)

I just bought our airline tickets for Dec., as well as our MVMCP tix!!!!
Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Deb,
How cool!! Colby must have loved seeing that balloon land!

For those of you who have done AM EMH at MK, do they do the opening ceremony at 8 AM or 9 AM? Or don't they do it at all?

Glynis, wow what a weekend. Hope you were able to get a nap in today.

So thoes of you who have seen Ratatouille. Is it cute enough for me to buy or should I rent first?

Terry or Stephanie, is there a dress code at Wolfgang Puck's?

Wow! This weekend went by in a whirl!!!

Friday was spent in bowling, and volunteering at the kid's school. I was hoping that Alan would take us all to see Ratatouille (haven't seen it, yet), but he was too busy getting ready to pour a cement pad to park our pop up trailer on. He's had to cancel the pour for 3 weeks due to bad weather. When the forecast was for good weather all weekend, he ordered 7 feet of cement to be brought to our house. He was up most of Friday night, smoothing and building forms. He got to bed around midnight, waking me up to say that his brother (with 4 of the 5 kids) were going to come help with the cement. "So, could you cook breakfast for everyone?" Midnight is not the best time to ask me something. However, I agreed!

At 5:30 the next morning, I woke up, went to the store and got enough stuff to make cinnamon fench toast bake, scrambled eggs, fried oatmeal and sausage for everyone. I also had hot chocolate, cider, egg nog, and orange juice. At 7:00 the truck came, and the pour began. Everything went smoothly, thanks to a neighbor who was awakened by the noise, and came over to help. He does cement work on a regular basis, so it was good to have him there. I fed the troops, and kept the hot chocolate coming.

They were finished by 1:00! It looks really good, too! I can't wait for it to cure all the way, so I can get my garage back!!!!

The tools Alan had rented needed to be back at the store by 3:00, so Alan took a quick shower, while I cleaned up the kids and got them ready to go to the pumpkin patch. We got everything in the car, and dropped off the tools. All was well there! Before the pumpkin patch, we had to stop by the house of one of Alan's clients to try to get some money from him. Alan has done a ton of work for him, and he owes us about 4500 dollars. Alan spent about 45 minutes there, but did manage to walk out with a check for 500 dollars. Not much, but more than I thought we'd get!

Finally, we were off to the pumpkin patch! Halfway there, we realized we'd forgotten the camera. Bummer! Oh well, too late to turn around. By the time we got there, it was getting chilly, so no one wanted to linger too long, anyway. We did the corn maze, played on the bouncy slides, etc., did the whole petting zoo thing, and made our way through the "light" alley. The patch is on the other side of the alley, so we ended up with the kids picking their pumpkins, while Alan and I selected a new tree to go in our yard. We lost a pine tree this year, and want to replace it. We found a beautiful golden chain tree to plant, so we were all happy.

We got home from the patch with enough time to shove a bowl of soup down everyone's throats, get the kids in their costumes, and go to a neighbor's house for a Halloween party. It was a ton of fun! The neighborhood teens had put together a spook alley in the basement and garage, and my kids thought it was wonderful! I had a great time just nibbling on treats, and enjoying adult conversation. We carried the kids home, and all just collapsed into bed.

We spent yesterday recovering, and going to church. Our children's Sunday school did a program, so it was neat to see the kids. Katie even did a violin solo to the song Beautiful Savior. It was so good! We were really proud of her. Last night we watched Sinbad and enjoyed ice cream sundaes!

I'm exhausted!!! Think I'll take a nap today to recover!!!

Will you be my Mommy? You always do so many fun things. The stuff that your neighbor throws is amazing!

I just bought our airline tickets for Dec., as well as our MVMCP tix!!!!

:cool1: :cool1:

So thoes of you who have seen Ratatouille. Is it cute enough for me to buy or should I rent first?

We like it, but we saw it at the theater and have no plans to buy it.

Since the post office is only 1/4 mile up the street i'm going to let Colby stay home with his brothers for a few minutes. They are excited to babysit him. My SIL is home next door so I think I have the bases covered:goodvibes

Yes, that is good for me. It will be just me and the kids.

I think I will just leave the ADR instead of calling and telling them we have 2 less people. I think the restaurant can handle that when we show up.:)

For those of you who have done AM EMH at MK, do they do the opening ceremony at 8 AM or 9 AM? Or don't they do it at all?

I think they do it at 9 AM. I know we have been on the "back" side of it many times, but maybe that was just when we did 8 AM breakfast or tours. Most likely if it was EMH we weren't near the entrance at 9 AM, so maybe I am wrong.:confused3

So thoes of you who have seen Ratatouille. Is it cute enough for me to buy or should I rent first?

I liked the movie, I just don't know if I want to buy it. I will ask DS. He said he wants to see Meet the Robinsons again but I don't want to buy that one. He likes the classic Disney movies better than the new ones, but he doesn't watch those all that often, either. He tends to put a DVD on and then turn it off after 30 minutes or so.

Terry or Stephanie, is there a dress code at Wolfgang Puck's?

No there is not.

You can choose to sit inside or outside. We sat outside and it was wonderful.
The food was excellent. We had the salmon with fresh asparagus.

Thanks Terry.

Mom is always cold, so we will probably sit inside. The salmon is what mom is looking forward to.

I need to stop looking at Wolfgang's menu. It is making me very hungry (drool).

Oh, Deb! We love watching hot air balloons take off and land, and will often "chase" them if they are nearby. What a fun morning! :goodvibes

I need to stop looking at Wolfgang's menu. It is making me very hungry (drool).

I can not remember what we had when we ate there! DS had chicken noodle soup, some sort of chicken breast, and he was too full for dessert. We took a cheesecake and a carrot cake back to the hotel, I think. DH had a BBQ chicken flatbread for his appetizer but I can't remember what his entree was. I think that was where I had a GIANT spinach salad as an appetizer - can't remember my entree, either.:confused3

EDIT: Looking at the menu, I had the pork chop. It was VERY good. DH probably had the mahi mahi. Everything we had there was delicious but the portions were HUGE. We went after La Nouba so it was 8 PM but we were stuffed from being on the DDP all week!

Tammi, congratulations on good airfare! December will be here before we know it!

Heidi, I enjoyed Ratatouille. We preordered it already, but we buy just about every Disney movie. I think if you can get a good deal for it you should buy it.
