I just bought this yesterday and paid $4 for it if I remember correctly. I'll have to go check the receipt. ETA: Yep, price tag is still on it. $4 is what it was new at the Disney Pin place in DTD.

:wave2: Hi, Vicki! I am so sorry that we never had the chance to meet last week! :sad2: I hope you and Chuck had a wonderful time.

Here is the latest update on Rees. I copied this from the CB. Sounds like this could be it! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

OK - please bear with me if I make a mistake, I was writing as fast as Denise was talking.

They are going to admit Rees, they are currently in the ER but will be admitted as soon as possible. They wanted to send them home with the idea that more Previcid was the answer. Denise stood firm and absolutely wouldn't budge. She made some phone calls and by the grace of God the GI team came down (the ones she's been waiting on!) and nearly immediately wanted him admitted. The game plan right now is:

tomorrow he is going to have endoscopic surgery where they go into his small intestine through his mouth so that they can biopsy an area of the bowel that is swollen and inflamed. I believe the word she used is "jujunitis" or something like that. If they can't successfully do an endoscopic surgery, they will wait 24 hours and then have to do a laproscopic surgery. The GI team is the team that is now in charge and will be doing the biopsys. Needless to say this is good news - at least competence has returned!

She has seen a patient advocate who listened to everything that Denise told her and promptly gave her her private cell phone number. So it sounds like things are progressing. She wanted to personally thank all of you for patiently listening to her vent and for all of your prayers. Her blackberry is about out of power and she can't answer everyone right now. So collectively lets get some positive thinking heading down to Georgia so that Rees can get better. Thanks everybody.

I have been waiting and reading and waiting to respond to all of this horrible ongoing JUNK for that poor little guy until there was something more concrete and uplifting to read. FINALLY! I hope to discover that things went well as I continue to read. Thanks for posting this.

Now that I am caught up again, a few random replies...

Vicki - A belated welcome home! Great PhotoPass pictures. I love the cheek kiss one. The group "food" photo is just priceless.

Denise - Many continued prayers for Rees and you all. The news is sounding more promising in that you are finally getting some results. I hope that the doctors can find a way to help ASAP!

Anne Marie - Great report and pictures. I'm so excited to see/read them all!! Love your Soarin' story. :cloud9:

Chanon - Amazing Headless Horseman picture!

Tammi - Love your pictures too!

Stephanie - You crack me up! I hope that Miss Blueberry was happy after her oil was changed and she received some TLC from the mechanic and her Mommy.

CA family and friends - I hope all family and friends in fire areas are safe. My prayers continue that their homes are saved and they are able to return to them soon. :wizard:

Theresa - I hope the new job possibility is looking good. That would be great for you, I'm sure! I'm glad that Jim was able to cancel the extended warranty. That is really good news.

Deb - Excellent pictures of you and Chris! That adult-only trip was just the thing, you can tell. I am so glad that the report from the doctor's was good! A belated happy birthday to Hunter. Prayers for your boss' wife and family. I hope that the end can be as peaceful as possible.

Tom - Congrats on your auctions! I hope that the next two do even better!

Elizabeth - Have you seen The Black Cauldron?

Deb and Chris - So what do you think of our boys!?! (Sorry Theresa :( ). I love the dichotomy between the two wins. Two totally different games and they pulled them both off well.

Theresa - I did get a hint of the Rockies wonderful infield play on one play in the first game. It was the funny hop to 3rd with a funky hop-throw to 1st - executed beautifully! Problem was there just weren't any infield plays that game - doubles galore.

Elin - Welcome home! That brings all of us back now, right?

Jennifer - :wizard: that Virginia is doing better today!

Elizabeth - Loads of :wizard: for DS. I hope that you can find a way to help him soon. I can't even imagine how frustrating this is for all of you. :grouphug:

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Hope they find your luggage soon!

Chanon & Janet missed their connecting flights yesterday too & had to stay overnight..both didn't get home til today.

That I didn't know until now! I am glad my DDs had a direct flight. They also had an hour delay on Sunday evening and I am not certain they would have made a connecting flight. Glad everyone is home safe and sound. And I hope to read that luggage has arrived!!

A quick update on our friend Terry. So far, so good on the healing front. Last week it was appearing that he still has circulation in the "bad" leg. He had surgery on Monday to graft ligements and skin to that leg and as of yesterday they seemed to be taking well. He still has a long way to go for recovery, but his chances of keeping his leg are improving everyday. Thank you all for your prayers.

So I was all set to have a nice night out with friends, all on my own. We were supposed to go to dinner and then we were going to Fright Nights at Six Flags. Phil was (finally) on board with the whole thing and willing (if not totally happy ;) ) My chance finally arrives and the girls started backing out one at a time. Darn it! Now we are postponed.

All is lost, right...well some alignment of the planets must have occurred, because instead of jumping for joy when I told him, Phil says, "Why don't you still go out for a little while on your own or with your sisters or something?" What, who is this man?!?! Who cares! I'll take it. ;)

Now to figure out what I want to do.... Hmmm.....

wow have fun whatever you decide

Any good movies out right now that I could see tonight? I've lost track of what's out and good since I don't get to go much.

Also, anyone see Nightmare in 3D? Terra keeps talking about it, but I'm not sure if the 3D would be too much for her. Maybe I'll just check it out from the library.

So I have a serious question from Cassidy:

She is starting to try and start looking at colleges and she said I could ask the DDA because she trusts you all:goodvibes

Where did you go to college and would you recommend it to her??

So that you know...she is looking at music or teaching....or both if her mom has her way:lmao: She is definitely a fine arts kid.

Is she looking at in-state schools only? Or is an out-of-state school a possibility? Also, is she CERTAIN she wants a career inmusic/education? If not... I strongly urge her to look at a top notch liberal arts school with good music and education departments. That is a wonderful way to start if you are not 100% sure.

Oh, I forgot earlier....GOOD MORNING (now afternoon), DDA!! So nice to have us all back and posting.

We've got to hit the liberry today, but otherwise not much going on. Garage sale day 2 is tomorrow, but I haven't got much of my stuff out. Maybe I'll save most of mine for part duex in the spring.

Have a good day everyone!

Well hopefully by this time next year I will be a full blown Florida resident. I have been looking at jobs and things already. I am thinking about moving next summer. Although there have been some jobs that have definitely caught my attention that they are looking for someone now.

The thing is I'm not sure if I am ready to change jobs already. I love my job and my co-workers. I know I might not be so lucky at another job. Hence the reason I am thinking about waiting till next summer to move. Then again if it is meant to happen. It will happen when the time is right.:thumbsup2

Best of luck in this decision-making, Becky! :goodvibes

But see the only college she is interested in state isn't that good...or she wants to go back to Montana for school....for what she wants...also not that good.

If the school has a good or excellent music dept the education dept stinks or vice versa.

That is why we came to the DDA....get some clues. It's time to take the PSAT's and PLAN's...she wants to narrow down her choices from "well there's the East Coast, West Coast, Metro or Montana" :rotfl: to about 10 schools so she knows whether to take the ACT, SAT or both.

Well, that gives me more info to go on... My alma mater, now called The University of Mary Washington, is one of the nation's best small public universities (as rated by almost all "things" that rate!) offering a liberal arts education. They have a great music department and their education department is also good. www.umw.edu
