Email update from Denise, 7:30 p.m.

Rees just got back from the Endoscopy and biopsies at 7pm. He did so well! The GI doctors came by to talk. They took 6 biopsies of his esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and jejunum. His lower esophagus and stomach were fairly inflamed and indicated chronic gastritis. The bowel was dilated and had thickened walls. They tested specifically for lactose intolerance and h-pylori. They suspect that he has something causing malabsorption and a possible partial blockage where the bowel is distended. They are keeping him until Friday or later and having the surgeon look at the results too. If it is a partial blockage, he will need surgery. The biopsy results probably won't be back until Friday.

Thanks for the prayers. It was another long day for Rees as he didn't get to eat from 10pm yesterday until 7:30pm tonight. He is so brave and such a trooper!. John's parents came over to help. I will send out another update when we hear something.

Hi, Amy! Thanks for posting this for us!

More  and :wizard: for Rees! I really hope the tests are conclusive so they can HELP Rees instead of shrugging and mumbling.

Chanon have you uploaded the other photopass pictures? All I got was the ones from the Halloween party.

Welcome home Terry.

Sorry I am anal too (at least that is what my family tells me).

Yeah, and people like me who are very very anal, will insist on reading every post :lmao:

So, does this mean no more recaps ever again? :lmao: :lmao:

I am not good at TR's, so I am not even going to attempt one. I do want to say that this was one of the best trips ever! Everyone I met was wonderful, I felt like I had know them forever. As corny as it may sound, I feel blessed that I was able to share my happy place with others who love it just as much.

Tammi, Bob, Kristine, Bill, Vicki, Chuck, Elin, Anne Marie, Chanon, Lindsay, Terry, Stephanie, Deb, & Chris, from the bottom of my heart thank you for making this a very special & memorable trip :goodvibes

Poor Olivia! She doesn't want to miss out on the fun! She is obviously taking the "sister" thing very seriously!:goodvibes
I love the pic of the 3 of you together! Now you have to get used to having a tiny one again. Or do you handle the newborns at work? I was thinking you work with the moms, but maybe you get to hold the babies, too.:)

Jen, sending lots of good thoughts to you and your dad!:wizard:

Fabulous!;)

Desperate Housewives was pretty good! My cake was marginal. I like whipped frosting, and the frosting on this cake is the "buttercream" kind. It is kind of greasy which is why I don't like that kind. If I could ever manage to plan ahead I would ORDER a cake from Sam's with the kind of frosting I like. I can't believe the weekend is over! I didn't accomplish ANYTHING! I did manage to squirt some blue cleanser into my toilet before I went to the grocery but that was it! I need a housekeeper.

They call the whipped version "bettercreme" here. I don't like that stuff. That isn't frosting. It is whipped cream. I have trouble getting the buttercream version. It is the only kind I like. Now, that's real frosting. My favorite is white cake with white frosting - the traditional wedding cake kind.

John and I saw it once, we did not care for it. Actually we have yet to find a movie of Burton's that we do like.

Well, Becky & I are watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. Neither of us have ever seen it before.

that's true....oh the fun we had that night waiting for you to catch up....we nearly hit another milestone. :rotfl:

I so remember that night. I think we were up to 64 posts or so before Denise caught up :lmao: :lmao:

Just got home again!

Not sure if i told you guys--but when we got my painting for my parents anniversary, there was a black line across my teeth--we have been goinig back and forth trying to get it resolved and they finally gave us three choices--a) send it to hong kong to get fixed b) get 50% of price back c) pay 50 dollars and keep the one we have, and get a new one

Mom chose choice C---we are going to g ive the one we have to my grandparenst and keep the new one!

Hope it finally gets worked out!

That's not good.:guilty:
They had a dance at DS's school but he refused to go. I don't know if any of his friends went or not.:confused3 I just don't think he "gets" the whole middle school thing.:rotfl:

This is "spirit week" or something like that. Yesteray was crazy hats, but he either forgot or didn't think he wanted to do it. He ended up wearing one of those stretcy bookcovers on his head. Today was crazy neckties - he wore a strand of paperclips. Tomorrow is crazy socks, and Friday is spirit jerseys. He doesn't have any crazy socks - all of his socks are white. I bought him a Dallas Stars hockey jersey today so at least he has that. I know the other kids must think he is a complete spaz, but he doesn't like to do things like the other kids.

There is something to be said for marching to the beat of his own drummer. :goodvibes

thanks Janet, now to just keep losing. for my height I should weigh 135-140lbs

Yeah that's my goal weight too! The last time I saw it I was in high school, I think. :rotfl2:

Sounds like they are finally getting some much needed answers. :wizard:

That could be interesting!:rotfl2:

Are you looking for anything in particular? My Disney Store had about 20 different styles last time I counted. The sets they had were Snow White, Pooh, Fab 5 Christmas, Princess. The rest were single pins.

Robyn - The new AG store is VERY close to opening. I thought it was open today (Princess & I were at the Galleria) but I guess it isn't yet. The sign says "Fall 2007" and they have another sign that they are hiring. There were a bunch of people in there - I guess they are stocking shelves or setting up fixtures or something.

Maybe I should apply there ;) But I probably wouldn't make any money at the rate the girls want the stuff. Emma tells me today that she is asking Santa for Ivy, the new Asian doll. It figures, there is no more free shipping. Before she was telling us it was a Nintendo DS, which we got free. Hopefully she won't be terribly disappointed.

Vicki - We still have about half of that cake in the fridge.;) DH doesn't really like it, either. It's not too bad if I scrape off most of the icing and mix the cake with ice cream.

Heidi - No love for Tim Burton? Tsk, tsk.:sad2:

Holy cow, that is a big one! :rotfl:

Would the ahem "owner" like to regale all of us with how many DW's he/she was able to consume? I'm wondering if you met your goal! :thumbsup2

I do not think she could ever have reached her goal :lmao:

whoops, did I say she????
