I think I need this:
http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=29533

This would eliminate the issue of wearing a separate thing around my neck for passes in addition to my pin lanyard. The only thing is I wish they had put a metal grommet in there so the hook would be less likely to tear out of the pouch. I'll have to look and see how sturdy they are. My old badge holder fell apart, so I need a new one anyway.

I had somebody give me a lanyard with something similar attached. I usually ended up with EVERYBODY's KTTK card and our fast and photo passes. It held really well and is looking forward to the next trip....and more pins!!

Anne Marie that is a great pic!!!

You all look so happy!!

here's the latest from Denise:

Ok, I am going to have a coronary. Rees' x-ray is unchanded from 3 weeks ago. GI said to try prevavid without even coming to see him. They aren't even coming! Said to go to the other GI practice and let them deal with it. I called the surgeon on his cell and he has ordered an upper GI and is calling the GI group. What does it take to be seen?

We have 2 Epcot lanyards that came with little pouches on the end, but we have never used them. (They were "freebies" that came with pins we bought from an eBay lady.) These new ones look nicer, and they look a bit smaller. It seems like the ones we have are more vertical - I like these little horizontal ones. Maybe I will wear one of the Epcot lanyards in December and clip the Mickey pouch to it.

Denise, I am so sorry! I fail to see why they are x-raying him. Aren't x-rays not very useful for soft tissue? Wouldn't an ultrasound or an MRI or something be better? His abdomen isn't distending for no reason, he is suffering, and these docs aren't doing anything! :headache: Have you considered trying to take him out of state? Can you Google to see if any of the big hospitals in other cities specialize in pediatric GI, then contact them and beg to have Rees seen? Desperate times call for desperate measures. I am sorry I don't know any pediatric GI guys. :guilty: Keep us posted, and we will keep sending good thoughts your way!:grouphug:

I had a fabulous time!

To Deb, Chris, Chanon, Janet, Anne Marie, Terry, Stephanie, Lindsay, Kristine, Bill, Vicki, and Chuck - You all are the just the nicest people. I'm so glad that I found this "home" and that we can come here together to share our lives. It was wonderful meeting each of you. I'm just sorry we aren't closer so we can do things like this more often. Thank you all for a great time!

I totally agree Tammi!!! It was so much fun to talk to people who are as obsessed about WDW as much as I am. It was also great fun to hear everyones voice. Now when I read your posts I can hear you voice saying it.

I agree with what has been posted already, I think once Bob experiences Disney with his DD, he will feel differently.

Good Morning DDA!

Welcome home Tammi, and Lindsay!

Steffy, and Terry have fun on your last day!
I bet you guys are a hoot! Wish I could have come to say "Hi!" to Mickey one more time!

Jen, glad to hear that your Dad is home!

Heidi, I can't believe that you have your ornament sent already!

I hope to go out this weekend and look for my recipients! We have until Thanksgiving, right?

Have a great day all!

Oh, I just found out that my one auction made the headlines on another website as one of the most viewed items on EvilBay! I can't really beilieve it!

Over 500 views on the one, and over 70 watchers so far! I wonder what the ending bid will be?:confused3

I might have to seriously think about doing this as a side job!

We might be taking another trip to Disney before we know it!

How exciting, Tom!! We can't wait to hear how you fare in the end!

**PRAYERS FOR REES**

I just received a phone call from Denise. She is on her way to pick Rees up from home. John had to go to school already this morning and pick him up. He was having all the same stomach problems but this time he was also having uncontrolable shaking. They are taking him directly to the ER where the DR. from the GI office will be waiting for them. This is kind of a mixed blessing since this might be the only way to get an appointment with him.

Denise asked for everyone to lift up prayers for Rees. Please pray for wisdom and knowledge for the Dr.'s to find a relief for his pain and peace and continued patience for Denise and John as they go thru this.

I will update you when I hear something back from her.

Lynn

Thanks for the update, Lynn. If you talk to her please let her know we are all praying continuously. Many buckets of :wizard: heading Atlanta-way. I'll we waiting anxiously for an update.

Tia, nice pictures. How did it go with Chase's mother?

It was better, thanks for asking. She made a couple of "light" comments over the course of the day, but nothing upsetting. It helped that everyone was busy with the other kids exploring the area. The one time I took Chase when she reached for me, it was from my mom and Kristi was off somewhere with Kassie and Connor. Chase rode on my lap on the wagon to the pumpkins and then I handed her to Kristi so that they could find her pumpkin. I was over there yesterday while she took Chase to the doctor and then stayed for awhile afterward and she's here today helping get ready for the garage sale so we're already back to more normal situations. She has even handed Chase to me a couple of time for one reason or another. I think I'm just going to try to avoid being in a position to have Chase reach from Kristi to me when I can, that seems to have helped.

I saw this at WoD this weekend, Elizabeth, and seriously considered getting it (I'm getting tired of fishing around for my AP all the time). However, the way it was packaged, I couldn't see how it closes (like you can tell in this picture), and thus I passed on it. I ended up picking up another holder that is vertical, and also has some other accessory holders on it, but now I'm thinking it's too bulky. Maybe I'll take it back in December, and see about getting this one. I'll see if I can find a pic of the other one I bought - I do think that one was cheaper.

I am so, so sorry and appalled to hear this. It truly is unbelievable that they keep passing this poor little boy around, who clearly is having problems and is in pain, and no one seems to care enough to get down off their high and mighty horse and see the little guy!

I agree with Elizabeth - maybe it's time to seek healthcare elsewhere, although you wouldn't think you'd have being in Atlanta.

Denise - if you at all start exploring other options, just let me know. We have a lot of connections with Texas Children's in Houston and both Children's Medical Center and Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas and Cook's Children's in Ft. Worth. I don't know any peds GI people off the top of my head, but I'm sure one of our connections does.

Tia - I can't believe how grown up Terra is looking. Her 'bob' haircut is so cute. Your pumpkin patch looks identical to ours. Same rope bridge and tire horses, as well as pumpkins as far as the eye can see.

Thanks, Tammi. She loves her hair that way. I realized last time that she goes a little shorter everytime. Does your patch have hay everywhere too?!?! We had a castle of hay, (wooden) pirate ship with hay maze underneath, hay fort, hay pyramid to climb and hay mazes. Oh yeah and the wall around the area was made of hay, plus the floor was covered in it. Hope no one with too serious of allergies went to that one! It was fun though.

I only have a couple of pics, and they were from the Party of the Senses with Elin and her daughters. The pic of all 4 of us is a bit dark, so I'll leave it to Jonathan's PhotoShop skills to do something with it.

But in the meantime, I took this picture of Elin and her daughters. I greatly enjoyed getting to spend time with the 3 of them. :goodvibes

Glynis, were you able to find a gumball machine for Jacob?

YES!!! I got the last one at Walmart this morning! I also picked up 3 refills of gumballs to put in his stocking! He is going to be one happy camper! It's the only thing he's been asking for.

I think they are a little relaxed too....but they've also played some games in the snow...you should have seen the slides they perfected on Sunday:rotfl2:

Okay not a sweep but I don't want a 7 game World Series either. Plus we have to keep the streak alive 20 of the last 21 games won!!:cheer2:

I'm going with Sox in 6. How about you? I was hoping to see some of their practices in the snow, but only heard that they'd moved inside. That's one area that Boston benefits over say Tampa or LA, they play in the cold as well sometimes to they, hopefully, won't be thrown off by the weather.

ETA: I just read this line in a World Series article and really liked it..."So it's the Pet Rox against the Hot Sox."

Lindsay - I will probably buy one of those little pouches in December and see how it holds up over 3 days, then I will see if I want something sturdier for my long trip next summer.

Denise just posted on the CB that the GI group is supposed to see Rees after his GI scope is complete, so let's hope they are getting closer to some answers!:wizard:

We bought retractable pass holders over the summer and they are awesome. They have already survived over 3 weeks of constant use and show no signs of wear. You can clip them on your shirt, lanyard or belt or anywhere else for that matter. :thumbsup2

I am loading my pictures in photobucket...I had to show you all this nice shot at the Cape May breakfast. I had such a great time meeting & chatting with everyone.

That picture came out really well :thumbsup2

My Brother will be at the first game of the World Series tomorrow night. Chris is bummed that he only got one ticket, but Kevin is so excited.

Anne Marie, Lindsay, and Kristine - LOVING THE PICTURES!!! You all look so relaxed and happy! I can't wait to see what other pictures are posted.

It feels really good to have the "family" gathering home again! It was wonderful to hear about Chris and Deb's pixie dust moments. I can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip! It was really fun to look at the pictures, and be able to name all of you! You all look so fabulous!!!!!

Heidi - You amaze me!!! I've started on the DDA ornament exchange, but still want to get some more little things to stick in there. I think my kids would hate me if I did it all myself. They love to pick things out! I'm also trying to put together some homemade stuff to tuck in as well. I love Christmas!!!!! My favorite radio station will begin the 24 hours of Christmas music on November 1st. I'm so excited!!!
