I think after today's winds, we will have no more leaves on the trees.

Glynis, I love Christmas too. I have my Christmas CD's ready to go and will start listening to them soon. :santa:

That is a great pic of Elin and her DDs!:) Did Kathrin say how her interviews went?

She did - they went very well. Both companies sound like they're trying to move quickly, so they're guessing that she could be in Boston soon!

We bought retractable pass holders over the summer and they are awesome. They have already survived over 3 weeks of constant use and show no signs of wear. You can clip them on your shirt, lanyard or belt or anywhere else for that matter. :thumbsup2

I saw yours, Deb, and I really liked it - that's what gave me the idea. :goodvibes It doesn't look like they're carried any more - I didn't see anything similar around the parks, and LaughingPlace says it's not available any more either. :guilty:

The family and some of the pumpkins...

The only one missing from the picture, besides me as the photographer, is Phil, because as my signature says...he's that guy who always stays home. :upsidedow

Boy it has been a slow day here at the DDA. I guess everyone is recuperating after their trip. Also doesn't help that the pages are taking so loooonnnnggggg to load.

I'm going with Sox in 6. How about you? I was hoping to see some of their practices in the snow, but only heard that they'd moved inside. That's one area that Boston benefits over say Tampa or LA, they play in the cold as well sometimes to they, hopefully, won't be thrown off by the weather.

ETA: I just read this line in a World Series article and really liked it..."So it's the Pet Rox against the Hot Sox."

ahhh...that's no fair....because we actually are hotter right now. Although Dinger (our mascot) makes a cute pet. :goodvibes

I've gotta stay true to my Rockies and say Rox in 5

I've still got lots of notes to catch up on at home too.....

Welcome home everyone!

Bernadette - after having been at the F&WF this weekend, I would avoid weekend afternoons and evenings like the plague. I was in both Epcot Friday and Saturday, and it was WAY more crowded than I remember it being when Jonathan and I were there for the opening weekend in 2005. Just seas of people, and with all the kiosks cluttering the walkways, it made getting around challenging.

I did have some luck - I went solo over to Epcot after our breakfast at Cape May on Saturday (everyone was going to Epcot on Sunday, but I would be leaving early for my flight). I walked through the Intl. Gateway around 10 a.m., and noticed that they were already prepping some of the kiosks. I walked over to Soarin' to grab a FP, rode Livin' with the Land, did some pin shopping, and then went back to World Showcase around 10:40. The kiosks were all open at that point, and I went to the few that interested me and had my tastings with little to no wait. I also rode the Gran Fiesta Tour, did some shopping, and was done with WS shortly after noon, when crowds were beginning to build right at the entrance as people migrated over from FW. I went to use my FP for Soarin' around 12:15, and the FP distribution time was almost to 8 p.m. by then! When I went back that night for Party of the Senses, I've never seen that many people in WS. Friday night it was crowded when we were there for dinner/IllumiNations at R&C, but Sat. was a totally different ballgame. Moral of the story - get there early - it will be open before 11 a.m.
Well we can't really avoid the weekend as that is when we'll be there. Thanks so much for the heads up on it opening before 11am. We will be there early!

So we were saying goodbye to EPCOT. :sad1:

We go to tea in the afternoon. The Beach Club Villa is a lovely vacation home. The next time Terry and I come to Disney, we'll be staying at Port Orleans FQ. We need two sinks, mousekeeping everyday, towel animals and a short walk from the bus to the room. Every night we have wanted a stretcher to remove us from EPCOT. We're exhausted.
You guys are too funny!

You know if you stay at FQ you'll have to walk from WS to the busses.;)

Morning all--headed to work

Dad ended up cominng home from the hospital late last night...They dont know what happened ,but they called it a warninig--now we just have to rush him in if it happens again

have a great day
 Glad to hear he's home but how scary. Will he still be able to work as a firefighter?

The kids were happy with their gifts, thank goodness. Nicholas got a sorcerer mickey shirt and a mickey head key chain which he will use as a zipper pull for his backpack. The other one broke. Alyssa got matching mickey head earrings and a necklace and a mickey hair tie. They both got some Jibbitz too.

Have a great day everyone!

Those sound like great gifts!

Surprisingly though, the kids' dad did all their laundry and sent home clean clothes.
WOW!

Oh, I just found out that my one auction made the headlines on another website as one of the most viewed items on EvilBay! I can't really beilieve it!

Over 500 views on the one, and over 70 watchers so far! I wonder what the ending bid will be?:confused3

I might have to seriously think about doing this as a side job!

We might be taking another trip to Disney before we know it!
Awesome!!!!

**PRAYERS FOR REES**

I just received a phone call from Denise. She is on her way to pick Rees up from home. John had to go to school already this morning and pick him up. He was having all the same stomach problems but this time he was also having uncontrolable shaking. They are taking him directly to the ER where the DR. from the GI office will be waiting for them. This is kind of a mixed blessing since this might be the only way to get an appointment with him.

Denise asked for everyone to lift up prayers for Rees. Please pray for wisdom and knowledge for the Dr.'s to find a relief for his pain and peace and continued patience for Denise and John as they go thru this.

I will update you when I hear something back from her.

Lynn
Unbelievable. Poor Rees!!!

Great pictures! Terra looks so big!

Not so much :headache:

I finally found the details so I'll quote them for all the others that were away. It only took me several hours to dig them up :rolleyes1

I have officially read every post from when we were gone. If I didn't have so many pages to read I may have already written my trip report, but now you will all have to wait until I find some time ;) Colby isn't feeling well today and we still need to pick up Logan and grocery shop. Hunter's birthday is tomorrow, but I have to work so we will have a small party tonight. I need to pick up all the goodies then get the little guys down for a nap.
We saw something on TV (that I can't remember) but it got us talking about birth order and I was trying to give Joe a few examples of middle children (his Auntie Annie, my friend Terry in FL) and I said to him "you know who else is a middle child" and he said "Colby's brother". He couldn't remember Hunter's name but he remember Hunter.

Happy Birthday Hunter!!!!party: :bday:

Hi guys...

This is the only 2 pics I have:

Great pictures!

Deb - I think my friend said she is moving to Portland, Maine? I thought Portland was in Oregon but anyway...

The miles I transferred into DS's account have been credited so I have his ticket on hold now. I'm not sure why I am waiting, but it seems like the prudent thing to do.
Portland is a nice city! They have lots of really great dining!

I got my Amex bill yesterday. Only $100 because I stopped using it. Still had $6 in finance charges and NO miles were transfered. So I called this morning and they said that it takes 2 months.:headache: So I've had this card since June and still haven't had any miles transfered. I think I'll use the points for my August trip but it is still frustrating.

That looks really interesting!

I am loading my pictures in photobucket...I had to show you all this nice shot at the Cape May breakfast. I had such a great time meeting & chatting with everyone.

Picture024.jpg
Very nice!!!!!

I only have a couple of pics, and they were from the Party of the Senses with Elin and her daughters. The pic of all 4 of us is a bit dark, so I'll leave it to Jonathan's PhotoShop skills to do something with it.

But in the meantime, I took this picture of Elin and her daughters. I greatly enjoyed getting to spend time with the 3 of them. :goodvibes

Beautiful!

ETA: I just read this line in a World Series article and really liked it..."So it's the Pet Rox against the Hot Sox."
I'm pretty sure the president of our company will be doing something for us tomorrow. Hot dogs at least but I'm sure something too. When the Red Sox were in the World Series the last time we got red socks and a really nice Red Sox hat.

Denise just posted on the CB that the GI group is supposed to see Rees after his GI scope is complete, so let's hope they are getting closer to some answers!:wizard:
Thanks for the update.

I think I need this:
http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=29533

This would eliminate the issue of wearing a separate thing around my neck for passes in addition to my pin lanyard. The only thing is I wish they had put a metal grommet in there so the hook would be less likely to tear out of the pouch. I'll have to look and see how sturdy they are. My old badge holder fell apart, so I need a new one anyway.

I have been wanting one of those! I am thinking of letting Terra start pin trading next time and this would be perfect. Let me know how it works.

What a beautiful group of ladies! Elin (when you get back and catch up) you look wonderful and your beautiful girls too.

Lindsay - I will probably buy one of those little pouches in December and see how it holds up over 3 days, then I will see if I want something sturdier for my long trip next summer.

Denise - I hope that the GI Group gets there and finally gets to work helping Rees! Prayers are continuing!

Glynis, I love Christmas too. I have my Christmas CD's ready to go and will start listening to them soon. :santa:

I need to get mine ready!!

ETA: Congrats!! as it posted I saw the gllittermaker link

I've gotta stay true to my Rockies and say Rox in 5

I started to type that as what I thought your prediction would be!

I am caught up at last! Just in time to start reading all of the trip reports so come on everyone! I'm on pins and needles to hear everyone's stories. And we want them all! Even if you think someone else already covered something, give us your side!

Congrats, Heidi! I am listening to my Nightmare soundtrack in the car right now, but after Halloween I will put some of my Christmas music in there.:)

More :wizard: that she gets an offer that she wants to accept!

Deb - That is cool! But like Lindsay said, "no longer available". Darn. My holder from the office supply store lasted 6 trips, so about 38 park days. Not bad for $4! But it would be nice to get rid of some of the clutter around my neck!:rotfl:

Thank you!:goodvibes I somehow missed the fact all these months that Rachel is your sister! Is there an odd circumstance there, or was she just a surprise? My youngest sister will be 16 in March. She was a surprise.:rolleyes1

Tia - I bet Terra wold like pin trading! I will definitely post a review of the little pass pouch after our December trip.:goodvibes

Bernadette - I was paying to transfer miles from DH to DS, so it is a good thing they were snappy about it!:rotfl2: They said it would be 72 hours, but it was only 48. When I actually BOOK the flights it will cost another $10, but I am still only out $140 which is cheaper than one round trip ticket. And these are non-stop flights! I'll watch and try to get a ticket for DH for around $200 once we know his dates.
I'm sorry your AmEx is so slow to credit miles to you!
Dining is better than camping, but I still don't think I am going to Maine! :rotfl:

Here is an eBay listing that has the "universal keeper" I just bought:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Pin-Trad...goryZ143QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I swear I only paid about $5 for it (I know I paid cash, and I wouldn't have parted with much more than that). I think the one like you found Elizabeth was about $7. I see from the Disney Pins site that that one isn't slated to be out until November, but I would bet that is the one I saw at WoD. I like the "Where the Magic Lives" tagline - I would have never considered something with the date or the "YOMD" on it, as it all gets dated so quickly.

They have Tinker Bell and Pirates, too. The Pirate one says DL, though, so I don't know what's up with that.:confused3 I don't know if I have seen one like the one in the auction or not. I suppose I never paid much attention because I never needed that type of thing before. None of us have lanyard medals because the lanyards are so heavy by themselves!
