YAY!!! Oh, yay!

I was just on the American site and they have added more flights for miles redemption! YAY YAY YAAAAAAYYY!!!!!

I can use miles from my account for my ticket, and we can transfer miles from DH's account to DS's account for $130 and get DS's ticket, too!!! $130 is lower than any ticket I have ever seen. The LOWEST fare I have ever seen is $158 before taxes & fees, so getting DS's ticket for $130 ROCKS! TWO tickets for $130 is INCREDIBLE! Yay!!

The thing is I want to book NOW while the flights are available, and that will make DH mad because he doesn't have his vacation dates yet. Crap. What if I book and don't tell him?

OK. I moved the miles from DH's account to DS's, and I have to wait 72 hours for them to process. That's fine. Once they are credited I will book our flights for Aug. 1 and Aug. 17, then I will book DH's flights when we have his schedule.
If he ends up not getting ANY days in August then I will just change my departure from Aug. 1 to maybe Aug. 8. While I would LOVE to do 16 nights I wouldn't do it if DH can't be there for some of the time. Of course these plans don't help my bosses decide when to take Princess to her grandparents. If I leave 8/1 they will drop her off 8/2, but if I am not leaving until 8/8 they wouldn't take her until maybe 8/7.

Ugh! Too many varibales, all because of the STUPID bid process.

Thanks! I am really excited! I need to go review the rules on changing tickets booked with miles so I will know what I am getting into.
It would only use 5 of my vacation days to be off Aug. 1-17 so I might go ahead and tell my bosses to plan for me to be out those days no matter what. Then they can go ahead and move forward with booking their own tickets.

Hmm. The change fees for tickets booked with miles are clear as mud! Maybe I should just plan to stay 16 nights with or without DH so I don't have to change the flights!

I think the whole set was around 20 dollars. It came with an adult size loom, a child size loom, a toddler size loom, and a baby loom. Katie uses the baby loom to make hats for the preemie babies at our local hospital. They are really cool!!!

I know around here sometimes Michaels and AC Moore runs them on special, or if you have either of those locations you could pick the Nifty Knitter up with a 40 or 50% off coupon.

Soooo, Deb just called. She was asking me if DS had a certain pin. She said they are at Epcot and it is packed. It was packed last night, too. 2.5 hours to go around World Showcase and do nothing!

That would really frustrate me. I can't stand being trapped by people who aren't moving!

I can't imagine what it will be like on our weekend as that is the last weekend of the F&WFest. I think I may have made some mistakes on our color coded matrix of fun. We will go to Epcot as soon as we get there on Thursday but then I plan on taking Lizzy to MK for Spectro & Wishes. I think the Thursday is the best for Spectro. Spectro will be showing on Saturday but Sat are crazy at MK and on Sunday but I think that will be crazy too as it is an EMH night. Maybe we should do it Sunday???? I saw Spectro in May but Lizzy hasn't seen it since Jan 04 so she doesn't even really remember it.

We have an 8am breakfast at CP on Friday but now I wonder if we should have done that Sat but I was thinking MK would be crazy on Sat. Friday is PM EMH at Epcot and Sat is AM EMH at Epcot. We also have a 2:00 tea at GF on Friday. I thought we could go from GF to Epcot on Friday. Then go to Epcot for AM EMH on Saturday so we could hit world showcase when it opens at 11am.

Maybe we should have done MK on Sat and Epcot on Friday??????????? Maybe I should call and see if I can change my Friday ADR's?

On Sunday we have an 11:10 ADR for 1900 Park Fare then we can go anywhere from GF-back to Epcot again.

On Monday we have a late lunch at Sci Fi. It is AM EMH at AK so maybe we'll start the day there. We want to see the Osborne Lights at MGM that last night.

We don't have any plans for Tues. Will probably have a 3pm ME pickup.



I am thinking I really messed up by not planning on Epcot for Friday. I may have to try to move things around.

I once bought my FIL one "A Man, a plan, a canal, Panama" for Christmas. You should have seen the results I got when I put that in Amazon today-one was "Algerbra for Dummies".

I just told DH about the flights and now he is mad. I knew he would be.

He infuriates me with this. He says if he can't get one of the weeks we want that maybe he can trade, then he REFUSES to actually ask anyone to trade with him. He says one day that most of those guys don't plan their vacations ahead of time, then he turns around the next day and says "Other people have kids! Their kids are in school, too, and they bid for their weeks on purpose!" Well, WHICH is it?

I know changing positions means he is bidding against a whole new set of guys and he has no idea where he is as far as seniority. Now he is saying he might end up with BOTH of his vacation weeks being during school and it is what it is. Excuse me? Is vacationing with DS not important enough to DH for him to be a little assertive? If he can't get a week in August he needs to tell the business manager that he won't be able to have ANY vacation time in 2008 with his family, and he needs to see if she can make some sort of arrangements for him. If she can't then he needs to ask whoever has those weeks if they will trade. Not rocket science. And this far in advance I can't see it being THAT much of a hardship, but who knows. The first year he bid he got his SIXTH choice. I don't even know what our 6th choice would be for 2008.

Now I am mad that he is being so complacent and "woe is me" about the whole thing. As soon as DS's miles are credited I am booking us for Aug. 1-17 and DH can come with us or not. I am not going to beg and plead and argue with him if he is already resigned to the fact that he won't be able to get any time off. I am sick and tired of this.

Oh I see we have slowed down in our posting.

Mom and I left here 9:30 to run to the post office and go grocery shopping. My ornament exchange has been mailed, priority with dc.

Well, that didn't last long! 20 pages since then and that was without Theresa if I'm not mistaken (or maybe she came back in the evening). I'll try to catch up today, but we're heading to the hunkin patch in a little while so it may not happen.

When we did F&WF we got there right when World Showcase opened on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all. Weekend evenings all the locals go to F&WF so it is crazy. I have been to MK on Saturday during the day and it is OK (we had 8 AM breakfast at CP on my birthday last year and it was a Saturday) - trying to go to Spectro on a Saturday is suicidal. I think Friday night EMH at Epcot will be a zoo!

Ordinarily we LOVE morning EMH but I don't think we got to any of them in August. We just picked a park that opened at 9 AM and got there for rope drop. Since we were staying out late we just couldn't get DS moving in time to go to an 8 AM opening.

WHAT?!?! I so have left a message for them, but seriously....?

I'm obviously beaming that it seems we have at least 1 embryo. 1 or 10, who knows. It could look like crap or be perfect, I have no idea.

Oh, I'm not worried, but thank you! I have always wanted twins. And not in a novelty sort of way where little girls like to dress the same, but deeply, in a way I can't explain without sounding like a goof. It's truly almost as great as my longing for any child, although of course (especially now) any single child would be beyond miraculous as well.

I actually laughed out loud at God when I found out we would have to do IVF, saying "I didn't HAVE to shoot for multiples"

I appreciate your positive thoughts, though. Even if this is good, of course the hardest part is yet to come... whether or not God decides this is the right time, and allows anything to stick! :~

I know exactly what you mean! Our prayers continue that there will be even more good news to post this week.
