Never heard that one but hey I'll try it. I got plenty of vanilla extract. Thanks!!

make sure it's pure vanilla and not imitation.

I'll ask my friend who is into herbs and alternatives what she would suggest...there is some great natural stuff!!!

I just got a call from Chanon. Her and Janet were headed to downtown Disney, they were checking to see if I was in Labor. I told her no just the occasional contractions. She said you know its going to happen this weekend while half of us are gone.

She called me today too and it was 88 degrees. I was getting a hair cut so I couldn't talk long.

Got this email tonight. Hopefully one of you were chosen!!!

Dear Amy,

On behalf of all of us at Walt Disney World Resort®, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to apply for the first-ever Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

We realize it's no easy task just keeping a family moving every day, so we appreciate all the effort you put into your application. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response we saw and very humbled by the heartwarming stories we read in each of the applications.

With 10,000 moms (and dads!) applying, we had a difficult time narrowing the field to the next round. We personally read every application submitted. While you were not among those selected, we are very grateful that you took the time to enter and share your love for Walt Disney World Resort®.

Because of the incredible passion you and so many others have shown for Walt Disney World Resort®, we've been inspired to explore more concepts for programs -- beyond the Moms Panel -- to engage moms and dads like you who want to share their passion for the Parks. We plan to follow up with you in the near future with more details.

Meanwhile, the Walt Disney World Moms Panel site, www.disneyworldmoms.com, officially launches in January. We hope you'll find the site a useful tool for you and other parents, too.

Again, thank you sincerely for your application. We hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Amy, Leanne & Duncan

I haven't gotten any emails yet. I wonder where I stand?:confused3

well in case I forget Happy Birthday Miss Jen

I was gone 3 hrs and I gotta say you ladies (and gentleman!!) are very good at posting nonsense!!:lmao:

I am so very proud of all of you!!!:goodvibes :rotfl2:

I go to work and come home to 10 pages. What will this weekend have in store. Of course I sat here and read every page when I should have gone to bed. I need to be up in 3 hours to head to the airport. I'm off to take a little nap now. Have a great weekend.

have a good sleep and have a grand time with the DDA and Mickey this weekend.

I would be REALLY careful with that. Vanilla is like 30% alcohol, and since the mouth absorbs alcohol very quickly that could get ugly!:scared:

I do believe the new siggie gudelines have been put into effect. My banana has no legs. And part of Deb's graphic for the campground is gone, as well as part of Karen's siggie.

Good night to everyone going to bed. I think I will have a snack and go to bed myself. No telling what time the knocking will start, so I need to get some sleep!

what is she going to be? What are Molly and Lucy going to be?

My kids have finally decided, too! I've got all the costumes except one, and I'll make that this weekend.

Leslie is Snow White
Mary is a dragon
Jacob is Captain Jack
Katie is Sacajawea. She has to choose a person from American history to research and dress up as for a "wax museum" held on Halloween at the school. Should be interesting. She originally wanted to be Louisa May Alcott, but I really didn't feel like making a dress with a hoop skirt, and she already has stuff she can use for the Sacajawea costume. She's loving the research that she has found, and I think it will be really neat.

The entire 5th grade does this, and the rest of the school (and parents) attend the museum. The kids have to sit on chairs, and when people ask them who they are, they have to speak as if they are that person. It's really a neat thing! I'll take pictures.

I was just going to type that we need to check out our sig's because we've got some half ones out there!!!

Oh, Jennifer, that website is www.e-rewards.com if you want to take a look. It says you have to have an invitation to join, but there is supposed to be a link to request an invitation. I couldn't find the link, but I am getting tired so maybe I just wasn't seeing it.:confused3

I can't imagine losing a child. I certainly understand the funk that your in. Give your kids an extra hug from me :wizard:

I will, Deb. Thanks.

I hope you and Chris have the best time ever! I know that you will miss the boys, but you will experience WDW in a whole new way without kids. Not better, not worse, just different! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Yup! We love our school. On Halloween, all the kids wear their costumes. Anything is allowed except masks and weapons. The 5th graders have the American wax museum, and the 6th graders do a World history wax museum. After lunch, K-4th grades do a parade through the all the classes and the lunchroom (where parents watch) and back to their classes. After the parade, the classes have individual parties. Last year, I helped with Katie's and it was so fun! They divided the class into 3 groups. One group decorated small pumpkins and gourds, one group did a beanbag toss into a jack-o-lantern, and the other group did a "mummy wrap" with toilet paper. They rotated until each group had a chance to do everything, and then had refreshments; donuts and apple juice. It was so fun!!!

We are really lucky to live in a community where there is such parental involvement! It makes things so much easier for the teachers!
