Background:
I mentioned in other threads about having an old, Windows 10 machine that couldn't be upgraded to Win11. I replaced that machine. Part of the old machine was a 3.5 inch 1Tb SATA drive that was the "master" for all of my photos are various files. When I got the new PC, I also got an enclosure to put that HD into. Everything worked fine.
That was October. Last week that drive no longer showed up. I checked Disk Management and it wasn't listed there. I had the enclosure plugged into a USB strip, so I plugged it directly into the computer. No luck. I disassembled, reseated all connections, rebooted PC, still not showing up.
Since I haven't scrapped my old machine yet, I plug the HD back into it, turn it on, and the HD shows up.
It's GOT to be either the enclosure or the USB cable, right?
Am I missing something?
