Our last full day at the world. After rolling in late the night before, I was determined to be at rope drop at Epcot. I wasn't sure we could make it but we set the clock for 7am. Chanon & I made it to rope drop about 10-15 mons before 9am. Janet was going to catch up with us later. So after thinking we were on the wrong line to get in :rolleyes1 we made our way pas spaceship earth & to the RD by Innoventions west. We had a british family behind us asking where Soarin was & if they could follow us since thats where we were headed. I said "You see all these people?, thats where they are headed too, you won't miss it";) So then this CM from Soarin named Josh walks over to the rope & we start chatting with him about his uniform & my mickey shirt & then he says "When the rope drops, follow me"...ok Joah whatever you say!!!!! So the rope goes down & we follow him all the way to Soarin. Of course there was a wall of CM's to help "walk" everyone over to the Land so people wouldn't run, which I think is such a good idea. Anyway we try not to loose Josh in the throngs of people. We get to Soarin a few people behind him & he says "come this way". & brings us down the FP line. As everyone runs to the right to ride standby, Chanon & I were escorted through an empty queue line right to the doors of the ride. He tells us that we are the Soarin family of the day & we get to have the first ride of the day alone! Yep, Just Chanon & I on all of Soarin!!! Chanon was teary, I was shaking & we joked later that we had the whole ride, we could have sat anywhere & what did we do? Sat right next to each other! It was great!!! We thanked Josh several times for a great start to our day.

We then rode TT & it stopped for awhile so they let us ride again. We met up with Janet. Rode Soarin again, & rode Nemo. Lunch was at Sunshine Seasons..yummy!

After FW we headed to WS & had a leisurely stroll around the countries.

Did some shopping & then it was time for Le Cellier. It was myself, Chanon, Janet, Tammi, Bob, Terry, Stephanie, Vicki, & Chuck. While we waited a CM sprinkled some pixie dust on Terry & Janet. They had asked us who was the Tinkerbell fans & of course we said Terry & Janet. To which the CM responded by giving them Tink pins!!! Time for dinner & it was wonderful as always. We all chatted & ate. Stephanie & I wanted to see Illuminations so badly that we got up during dinner & ran outside to catch the ending, singing as we went along. We came back for dessert.

Some of us went to DTD for some shopping but I had to be on ME at 4am so I did the walk of shame out of the park & to the bus. (where I met up with Tammi & Bob) We rode back to Pop, I packed my stuff & tried to get some sleep. When Chanon & Janet came in around 11:30ish? we said our goodbyes. The next morning, I popped up & headed out. Leaving is always difficult.

This was such a relaxing trip. So much fun & good times, even some magical ones too! I am so glad to have made such great friends & know people who can "get" everything I am saying when it comes to Disney. My roomies were great:hug: & I missed them when I got home.

okay so how did everyone like POP?

I thought it was ok. Very good for when you are touring the parks all day & just sleeping at the resort. The everything Pop store was great, they had so much variety in the merchandise. The food court was always busy but well organized & the lines moved quickly. We did have an issue with mousekeeping but overall I liked it.

Is it the one with the brown building, or the ones with the multi-colored buildings? I got all 4 park pins in August, and I traded for the cruise line one. I saw 2 different ones from DTD on the pin site. We won't make it to DTD in December - the trip is too short. I have put some serious thought into it and I can't figure out a way to squeeze it in.

LOVE Pop, except the beds are small and there isn't a coffee maker.

It is a Mickey head with a brown building and says Disney Pin Trading or something like that.

I forgot about the size of the beds. Are they fulls? No fridge is also going to be an issue. We really need to figure out what we are going to do with my sister. I just don't see Chuck enjoying Pop.

true no fridge but their are several fridge swaps on the budget board

the beds are fulls.

We used a cooler bag....and replaced some of the ice every day...worked well for our water and fruit.

I just wish there was a way to have POR be cost effective enough for my mom, sister, & her kids. It is hard justifying the extra $700 though. We can also rent a fridge at POP for the cost difference. None of us are coffee drinkers so the coffee pot doesn't matter.

Cool! Maybe I can trade for one. I saw all of the theme park pins on CM lanyards. I thought that might be the case, because people might be willing to trade a pin they only paid $1 for.

The beds are full size, which is too small for DH and me and WAY too small for DS and either of us! DS is all bony and pokey and he takes up the whole bed. We do much better having queen beds.

There are a bunch of fridge swaps, or you can rent a fridge from Pop, or you can rent a fridge from somewhere else. I think the year we used Murray Hill for town car service they even rented fridges!

So I have a serious question from Cassidy:

She is starting to try and start looking at colleges and she said I could ask the DDA because she trusts you all:goodvibes

Where did you go to college and would you recommend it to her??

So that you know...she is looking at music or teaching....or both if her mom has her way:lmao: She is definitely a fine arts kid.
i went to University of Houston. Great education department they also have a really good music department. if you want me to get some info for ya I can. Texas A&M has a good education department too. let me know.
