Good thoughts for your co-workers family.

Will you please keep my co-worker Michelle's family in your prayers. 3 of her sisters have been evacuated from their homes in California due to the wildfires. All are staying with their brother in another area of California. Although the fires may hit that area as well. They could really use all the good thoughts they can get.

Thank you!

Chanon, good thoughts for your aunt's and uncle's.

Hi Jen

Well since you won't go on the field trip today, can it be moved to tomorrow?

Good morning, DDA!

Lots of good thoughts to all of those in CA! I hope their homes are spared!:wizard:

Theresa - I wasn't interested in college until a few years after high school. I was already married when I decided to take classes, so I went to community college. By that time I was mature enough to really WANT to be there, and I paid for it myself so my father couldn't use tuition as a way to try to manipulate me. Very empowering, but NOT the path I would suggest. My parents might as well have flushed money down the toilet for all the tuition they paid for my sister. She never went to class and failed everything she enrolled in. Also NOT a path I would suggest!;)

Stephanie - We missed you & Terry! Welcome home!:goodvibes

Janet - Welcome home! Sorry about the Moms' Panel.:guilty: That makes SIX of us who didn't make it. And my theory on low post count is still holding true - NOBODY who has over 1000 posts made it to round 2. I am also not the only one who noticed. Other people have brought it up now.

Hey! It's Wednesday! That means SEVEN WEEKS until WDW!:yay:

Chanon - Good luck getting back into the "work" groove! I would love to call you to chat about my August trip, but there isn't anything I can book yet! Hopefully in a little over a month we can get all those details in place!:) I was looking at historical discounts on MouseSavers and last year Bounce Back started Nov. 8. Since they just ended Bounce Back on Oct. 12 I am wondering if they will offer it again, and if they do, if the redemption dates will be early enough in August for us to take advantage. Hopefully by mid-December we'll know our exact dates and I'll have the plans worked out well enough to know what we need to book. I guess we should book Bounce Back if it's offered and then cancel it if AP rates are just spectacular, huh?

Thoughts and prayers to all who need them. :wizard:

So I have a serious question from Cassidy:

She is starting to try and start looking at colleges and she said I could ask the DDA because she trusts you all:goodvibes

Where did you go to college and would you recommend it to her??

So that you know...she is looking at music or teaching....or both if her mom has her way:lmao: She is definitely a fine arts kid.

I graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Small Business Management (aka Agricultural Resource Economics). UVM has a wonderful business program and their nursing and education programs are good too. The music program was nothing spectacular, but things could have changed since 1991:rolleyes:

I'm sending out prayers to all of those families in harms way in California. What a huge natural disaster. Prayers also going out to all of the DDA with family and friends in need. I wonder how Rees and Aiden are doing this morning.

I didn't make the Mom's Panel either :sad2:

I am reading along, but had to respond to this one. No one called & said anything, but when Chanon called Jennifer, Virginia's cry in the background sorta gave it away lol

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!!! Now, everyone has to agree not to say anything if someone calls. You know they are going to call someone to find out if Virginia has come, yet.

Heidi congratulations on the new vehicle, even though you weren't expecting it!

Tia, Terra's Charlie Brown costume sounds cute!

Jennifer love all the pictures from the zoo & of Olivia. Look forward to seeing pics of Virginia when I catch up :cool1:

Love the passholder pins you posted Elizabeth, hopefully they will still be available in Dec.!

Robyn, love the coloring pictures of the girls!

Jen I hope you are feeling better :wizard:

Jennifer(tink2020) prayers & :wizard: for your results!

Amy love the zoo & Halloween pictures. Alyssa & Matthew are getting so big!

Still skiming through :)

Good morning!

Welcome home Steffy, Terry and Janet.

Theresa - I went to Indiana Univ. of PA, a state school about an hour from home. For what Cassidy is interested in, I recommend she stay in state. If she were specializing in a particular field, then the 'best' college might be in order. But she can get a wonderful education in CO at a more reasonable cost. Well, is any college tuition reasonable?? Unless of course she gets a scholarship! ;)

But see the only college she is interested in state isn't that good...or she wants to go back to Montana for school....for what she wants...also not that good.

If the school has a good or excellent music dept the education dept stinks or vice versa.

That is why we came to the DDA....get some clues. It's time to take the PSAT's and PLAN's...she wants to narrow down her choices from "well there's the East Coast, West Coast, Metro or Montana" :rotfl: to about 10 schools so she knows whether to take the ACT, SAT or both.

That would be me. :teeth: The tree goes up and is decorated Thanksgiving night. :rolleyes1

I find I am not such a bear the rest of the very busy work season if my tree also goes up then.

Though I do have a line on a new job...just have to dust off the resume....for as old as I am there are very few jobs on it.

All good thoughts going to the families being affected by the fires in California.

Debbie love the pictures of your grandson, what a cutie :goodvibes

Elizabeth what a cute picture of ds & princess :goodvibes

Great pictures Beth! Our fall colors are coming along nicely here as well, so pretty.

Bernadette love Emma's school picture!

Need to get ready for work, yesterday really threw me off. I have no groceries in the house & I have yet to unpack. Oh well I will get to it sometime.
