The show's producer just called me and we've made it to the final round. He will call back within the next couple of days to let me know if we've been chosen to be on the show. I said we wanted to redo our basement for the kids and get some adaptive equipment to help Rees out. PD please!!!!

There was a blurb in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about 2 weeks ago saying they were looking for Atlanta families. It gave a link to apply on-line. I did, saying what we wanted to fix up (basement storage) and what we had to sell (baseball card collections, comic collections, sports figures, a treadmill, Japanese kimono, some old furniture, etc). Asked about our family, fave things (I said Disney and designing t-shirts)!

Anyway, the producer, Nick Meagher,called today to ask a few more questions and request pictures of us (sent the MGM one at Playhouse Disney with us all in our t-shirts and the one from MVMCP). He said they'd make their final decision and let me know. They'll film the 1st 2 weeks of March.

Hey, if we get picked, y'all gotta help me come up with some DARN good designs to wear on the show!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm about 30 pages back, but wanted to say hi. Terra and I got back from St. Louis last night after a nice visit home. Terra was very happy to play with her cousin for 5 straight days. My niece cried anytime she even thought she might have to go to her house to sleep. They had a great Jojo party together too! Amy - I'll post some pictures later. We ended up finding a banner, tablecloth and paper goods at Party City. We also got Jojo treat bags, bouncy balls and bubbles. We also put small bags of cotton candy and a Jojo book (from the beginning reader series) in the bags. The Goliath portion of my cake left much to be desired (as clearly evidenced from the incessent teasing from my DSises an DBILs), but I was happy with the Jojo portion and Big Top cake. I just can't believe that my baby is officially 3yo now. It seems like she has changed so much in just the few days surrounding her birthday.

I hope the next 30 pages find all DDAers doing well!

Marti and Paul, don't worry, I didn't eat Chick-fil-a for lunch (though I almost worked it out with Jennifer!). I had a boring turkey sandwich at home instead. Alyssa had pizza.

Hi, all. The appointment went well with the Neurologist today. DH went too. Rees was very anxious/crying during the entire appt which was good so she could see what we were dealing with. Long story short, Rees definitely is having anxiety attacks and has been diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder. She said it was a good thing we came in as he could make himself very sick. He will start a med tomorrow to hopefully help. We follow up in 2 weeks to monitor his progress. The doctor also feels Rees now falls on the Autism spectrum and she tentatively diagnosed him with PDD-NOS. Not what I wanted to hear, but I'd rather face this head on and get him the help he needs. My parents will be here tomorrow by the time we get home from school. I'm really looking forward to seeing them.

Thanks again for the prayers. I am feeling a little better, but am still very emotional and completely wiped out. My mom told me to go have a beer, and who am I to argue with my mom!

I'm a little late in responding, but just wanted to say that I hope the meds are helping. It sounds like a visit from mom and dad was scheduled for just the right time. Many and that you will continue to get the help and support that Rees, and all of you, need.

Sending tons of your way. That would be so awesome for your family and might help you get the exposure you need for your family, which might lead to other things.

Are they going to meet with your family before they make a decision? If so perhaps you will need pick us type t-shirts to help you get onto the show.
