The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 3

Hi All!

Remember me? I've been gone since my Oct trip. I didn't have the great trip I was hoping for and had to take a break from the boards. My DH was so down on our trip that it really ruined it for me and then I got some really nasty buyer's remorse when I got my credit card bill. And we all came home sick so I forgot to pay the bill and got hit with a late fee and 2 months of interest (once you don't pay you go into revolving credit so they get you twice). I honestly didnt know if I'd ever go back to Disney. I made him go the doctor and it turns out he had a thyroid problem. I wish he got help BEFORE our trip! The kids still had a great time. When I returned to the boards I felt like just couldn't keep up with the DDA. So after a few weeks back on the boards I find myself planning 4- yes FOUR - trips.

I'm going with a couple of adult friends to celebrate my birthday 5/1 to 5/4. My actual birthday is 5/6 so I'll be home with the kids. Then I was feeling guilty about that so I'm taking just oldest DD for her 7th birthday (5/22) 5/19 to 5/23. Then my DH gets one more shot at enjoying WDW on a family trip the last week of Aug. I'll have to take DS for a special trip-he loves MNSSHP so probably Oct. By then my youngest will probably be asking for her trip. My AP's won't expire til 5/1 so maybe the last week of April for her. Just hope I can continue to find cheap air fare on Southwest.

So of course one of the first steps of planning a trip is coming up with a Tshirt itinerary! BUT I cannot figure out how to see Kate's designs. Do I need a password now?

Kate did you design the "It's my birthday feel free to treat me like a princess" one? I was hoping to make that one for my DD.

Sorry I deserted you guys. I don't think I can read the 2000+ post I missed (I seem to remember being here when it hit 6,000). Hope everyone is doing well.

Hope your DH gets better. I have been struggling with hypothyroid for a while now. Can't seem to get the medicine dose right. It's hard. My blood pressure keeps dropping it is 80 over 60 now. Hopefully he has better luck with his dr.

Well it's Showcase Cinemas. They show baby pictures listings for KY, OH, MA, PA, MI, RI, NY and VA......... no Atlanta.

Do you not have Showcases? If not, are any of your theaters owned by National Amusements??

ETA: Nevermind.... I found a list of NA's theaters, and they aren't there.

Thank you all for the support. Your words and prayers mean more to me than you will ever know. It is so wonderful to have you all to voice my concerns to and vent.

Today was bad again. Rees had a major melt down in response to the dentist visiting his school. He got so upset that his teachers had to take him out of the room. Then he was "off" the rest of the day, nervous and whiny. I cried all during staff meeting and have continued on and off since then. I called his Neurologist in tears,and they are seeing him tomorrow at 11am. DH is coming too so we can discuss these problems. I'm beginning to think he's suffering from an anxiety disorder (he gets terribly afraid, heart races, bursts into tears, repeats over and over he needs to leave). It's the same symptoms he showed at Disney. I'm praying she gives us some answers and treatment options. I'd have a drink, but I'm afraid if I do I might not quit drinking. I don't remember being this upset in a long, long time. This situation is breaking my heart.

We're off to church for dinner and choir. Hope everyone is well. Oh, and my parents are coming this weekend and we're taking the kids to see Curious George. I hope the dark theater isn't a problem.

Denise - I really wish there was more that I could do. Hopefully you can get some answers tomorrow. I'm praying for a silver lining.

Good luck at the neurologist tomorrow. We'll be praying for a successful appointment. I hope that there is something that he can do to help. Phil also has an anxiety disorder of some kind (I don't know what the "official" diagnosis is, but it manifests similarly to post traumatic stress syndrom) and I know how hard it is for him to live with and even for me to handle and understand as his wife. I can't even imagine how it must feel for a child to go through anything even remotely similar and to be the parent having to watch them without being able to help. You are all in our prayers constantly.

Denise good luck with rees. i understand all the "crap" (no other word for it) your going through. being physically challeged myself its hard. just remember we are here for ya and to take one day at a time. there are brighter days ahead for ya. good luck.

Denise - I can hear the distress in your posts - that just breaks my heart that you guys are having to go through this. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do, beyond prayer. You guys deserve some good news tomorrow.

Tia - glad to hear y'all had a great trip! MY BIL and SIL went to WDW for about 12 hours (from Texas!) on Monday - a surprise V-day gift to each other. They said it was most definitely cold, but they enjoyed it.
