Speaking of Chik-Fil-A, I drove by one on my way to bowling on Friday and thought of you all. I haven't been there, because I can't have fried foods for another 4 months, but once I can, I'll be making a trip. Tell me, does this place have any grilled chicken sandwiches, salads, etc.? What would my kids like there? Suggestions? I'm anxious to try it out!

Actually Chic-fil-a sandwiches aren't fried they are "broasted". Not sure what the difference is but I heard that one time at a weight watchers meeting. It might be worth checking into.

I can't imagine going one week without a chick-fil-a sandwich sandwich with extra pickles......just a touch of mayo and ice dream cone.....sorry Amy :)

Come one, as a former teacher, I thought you'd jump on the censorship project. I'll wait. The prof. is very understanding, and he's loved some of the stuff that I've gotten from you guys.

I may have to try Chick-Fil-A this Friday after bowling. I'll let you know about the salads.

Yes they have salads...........side salads and salads with grilled chicken, chicken salad sandwiches on wheat bread. They toast they bread...yummy.

Hi, everyone. Well, the meeting with the lawyer was a mixed bag. He thinks we have a case, but isn't sure going to court is our best option. He wants us to consider just reapplying, but the application process is about a year's wait. I don't think we want to take that chance. So, DH and I are talking about going to court. It's extremely expensive which is also a consideration. It's been a rough day emotionally going over all of Rees' issues. So, DH took me and the kids out to dinner for Valentine's Day. During dinner they dimmed the lights, and Rees freaked out (dark enclosed place like the scary rides at Disney). Took all of dinner to calm him down. Was just another reminder of what we're fighting for. I held it together until after they went to bed, and then I lost it. I am so drained. He's not doing well at school, he's "off" at home. I am so emotionally spent. Thanks for listening and for the prayers.

:grouphug: Denise, I wish there were something that I could do for you. I am so sorry that you have to go through all of this legal struggle just to provide for your son. I'll say again that he is very lucky to have you!

Lovesdumbo--I'm a little jealous over all the trips that you get to plan. I hope that they are all fabulous, though. Kate did do the "It's my birthday, feel free to treat my like a princess" design. If you PM her, she will send it to you.

Here in Ohio, we've been dealing with forecasts like this all winter...no wonder my sinuses are a mess!

Thanks for not posting about food this time. :teeth:

And, I couldn't help but notice you were quite active on the CB earlier...something about Tom and Katie... :rotfl:

Amy :)

Stalker! :rolleyes1 ;)

 Hey everyone. It seems like I've been away for quite awhile and I had a lot to catch up on. Life has been busy for a few days. Hopefully it will quiet down now. I know I need to touch base with a few of you.

Elin - So sorry to hear about your dog. I hope the meds work and that they don't cost you a fortune.

Clare - Congrats on your new trip that you get to start planning.

Denise - I can't begin to imagine the emotional rollercoaster that you are on. I'm praying for good news for you all. Just remember how powerful that pixie dust can be.

Tia - Welcome back! I can't wait to hear and see about your trip.

Amy - Thanks for checking on me.

Hugs/pixie dust/prayers to anyone who needs it or that I forgot about. I did this on memory, so if I left anything out it wasn't intentional.

I hope everyone had a love-ly Valentine's Day. DH sent flowers to my office, and when I got home the kids gave me candy and flowers. We went out to dinner alone on Sunday night to celebrate. I just hate going out on a week night, with work and the commute and the kids, etc. It makes the evening too rushed and hectic. I got him a new luggage set. I know, how unromantic, but he really needed it. He is going to Utah for a week soon and he only has one suitcase. That thing is huge. After it gets filled up, then it is overweight. So now he has nice new stuff, for his ski trip and for Disney!

You know my motto. Overcome the Disney depression, plan another trip.

Thanks for the welcome Steffy! LOVE your motto! You should note that none of my planned trips include concierge at the Poly. Now that my youngest is 3 (and I won't/can't go without another adult to help - DH doesn't count as a helpful adult :teeth: ) I would need 2 rooms for the 6 of us so I'm really learning to LOVE the values! When I asked DD where she wanted to stay for her birthday trip she said Poly. I said too expensive. She said OK GF. I said try again. She liked the looks of CSR (and I've never been-looks like fun) but chose Pop-says she likes the looks of the rooms. They are more subtle than AS's. I guess I better break her of her deluxe habbit while I still can. :teeth:

I only had a chance to read back a few pages. CONGRATULATIONS Amy!!!! I won't tell you how long morning sickness lasted with my #3. Lets just say there won't be a #4. I always said it was a sign of a nice healthy strong baby. That's what got me through.

Denise-you and your 3 beautiful miracle children are in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry you having such a difficult time with the insurance company. I had to fight with the school to provide my DS(5) speech therapy. They kept saying his speech was within normal range for his age but the problem was my DS knew he couldn't say some sounds right and wouldn't talk at school and that creating some real behavioral problems. They finally said he had some other problems and gave him speech therapy for just 3 months and now he's like a totally different child. His teachers can't believe the change. I know how frustrating that small problem was for me so I can only begin to imagine what you (and your whole family) must be going through. :grouphug:

You mentioned being about 2000 posts behind...actually this is our second thread! I think the first thread made it to 18,000 posts or something like that, so you're even further behind than you thought! :teeth:

If you have questions about anyone or anything, just ask...it's much easier than trying to peruse through all our banter! :sunny:

I really need to get to bed - I'm forgetting where I've posted and not posted. We had a nice Valentine's Day - from breakfast with Skunka to going to school to be a "helper" at the party today. Of course, helper meant that I was in charge of the cupcakes (are these people crazy???) and then dinner at Friendly's as a family. All in all a good day -- any day is a good day when I'm not cooking (nothing catches on fire then :teeth: )

See you guys tomorrow.

Sounds like we had similar celebrations. We did friendly's on Monday night though and I got to be a helper for Hunter's party at school although I only had to make cookies. :teeth: . It is a small world afterall. :wave2:

Broasted, huh? Sounds interesting! I may have to check it out. Bread is out for me until October, so I would have to it the fillet alone, or better yet, in between 2 Romaine lettuce leaves. Sounds good.

I do think I'll give it a while, though. I made Cornish game hens for V-day dinner last night, (big hit with all the kids. DS stripped his right to the bone) and boy did I pay for it later. The meat just didn't sit well with my new tummy, at all! I spent the next little while worshipping the porcelain goddess! I think I'll stick to beef for a while!

It was probably the grease/fat. When I fixed cornish hens for my family I thought they were very greasy. I always buy the rotisserie chickens but I thought the smaller cornish hens would be fun. Not no more......to much work getting down to the meat and they were very greasy/fatty.

Tammi -- I was glad to read this post. I was about to PM you since I had not seen any posts from you when I have been on sporadically. The doggie meds are going to cost us about $70 a month is appears. Thatg is if she does not need any additional meds after her 2 week check-up. We can deal with that, so we get to keep her around a bit longer it appears

Enjoy your week with the kids. I used to love it when my DH traveled but of course I was not working at the time. You get to be the singel parent this week. Holler if you need help. Of course, I am still working 7 days a week, so you will have to holler REALLY LOUD!

I was going to say that also!! The girls didn't like cornish hens because they were so greasy. With your new tummy I am sure you could probably handle a Chick-fil A wrap or salad....all yummy. Cassidy's favorite is the chicken strips salad because the strips and salad come seperately packaged so she can eat as much as she wants from both and save the rest for later without anything getting "soggy".

We actually got past 20,000. Come on, you don't remember my celebratory post?! :sad2: I'm crushed! ;)

Ok, so I'm mad. :furious:

Just because February has to be different and only has 28 days (and 29 sometimes? don't even get me started) my ticker doesn't start counting down days yet?!?!?! Match Day, while exactly a month from tomorrow, is only 29 days away... tickerfactory is REALLY slacking.

:rotfl:  (woohoo! 29 days!) :rotfl:

Well, BWV is for Boardwalk Villas. I'm doing the Walking to Disney challenge again, although I haven't walked in DAYS because I was so sick! I did it last year, and it was fun. We just track our walking and running from our workouts and see how close we can make it if we were walking the route to WDW :goodvibes

And Match Day is THE most important day of mine and Kyle's life together, aside from our wedding day. As a fourth year medical student, you go apply to several programs throughout the country for residency programs upon graduation from med school. Then you are invited to interview at some or all of them (hence the "globetrotting" of December and January, where we visited 14 programs in 10 different cities!).

From there, you rank your list of programs and the programs rank each of the applicants they see. Then it all goes into this computer which literally spits out what is to be the "best match" for both doctors and programs nationwide. Every resident in the world that is practicing in the US participates in this match (in one form or another). So the national date this year is March 16th! On that day, we open up an envelope that says where we will move and spend at least the next 4 years of our lives. At which point we have about 2 months to find a house, job for me, etc.... so we're pretty ready to find out! :rolleyes1

Ooh! But good news about the whole Match Day thing!

So here I'm thinking it's this big, scary to-do. Some boring, high-strung ceremony where you have to sit through in torture while you wait to find out your destiny, right?

Well, apparently I'm way off. At least at Cincinnati, it's a CELEBRATION! The president of the class sent an email out yesterday which Kyle shared with me today. The ending says, and I quote:

"We plan on going out extra huge rock star style". Whatever that means :rotfl:

But seriously. There is a celebratory dinner Monday night, becuase that's the day you find out that you at least matched somewhere (hopefully). Then there's a party Tuesday night, just because (?). Then Thursday morning, I swear to you, they have a "kegs and eggs" party.

Ladies and Gentlemen, future doctors of America :rotfl:

Just kidding, kind of. This is really happening, I just don't think many of them are actually going. We certainly aren't. Are you kidding? I'm going to be emotional enough WITHOUT alcohol, thank you very much!

And then during the Match they draw the envelopes out of a bingo mixer thingy. (What is that called?) Before you can open your envelope, you have to put at least a dollar into this fishbowl. The last person in attendance to be called wins the prize money.

Isn't this the strangest thing you've ever heard?! At least they're trying to calm our nerves! :confused3 :rotfl:
