I also put 5 hrs of Disney video onto a DVD today. No editing or anything, just transferred it raw. Our friends that went to WDW with us in Dec. are coming down tomorrow. We haven't seen eachother since the trip so we are having a picture and movie viewing day, of all the stuff we took while on vacation.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

How fun! I hope that you all have a great time reliving your trip.

When you do edit your video, what program do you use? Figuring out that step is one of my next goals as I've had DL videos on my tapes since before we switched coasts a year and a half ago.

Glynis - I would love the DL file s- do you need my email?

We went to see Curious George today -it was SO cute!! nick LOVED it!!! We bought him a Curious George at Wal-Mart today and he hasn't put him down yet! My om told me I didn't need to go see the movie - as I have my own little Curious Nick!!! :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear that it is cute. I think that is our plan for next weekend. As Terra keeps asking about "Serious George."

this morning Julia and Nick were playing doctor -

Julia was very cute - putting eyedrops in our eyes - telling us how long to take our medicine - letting us pick out what bandaid we wanted - and what sticker or lollipop we wanted

then Nick sat down next to Steve and said - me doctor - Steve said okay - and I kid you not - Nick stuck out his hand and said "Money" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I can't remember the last time Steve and I laughed so hard!!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: Okay, that is one of the funniest things that I have ever heard! Nick's pretty shrewd.

Wow, lots more sickness. I hope you are all feeling better by the time you read this. :grouphug: :grouphug: :wizard: :wizard: .

OK, so I've been complaining about having no snow this winter. Today was our day to tap our entire Maple Orchard which has about 1400 taps. My brother had several coworkers and friends that were able to help, but it had to be today. We have been monitoring the weather for weeks and Today was predicted to be a good day. That all changed and we now have a foot of snow on the ground. We did go and tap, but it was much harder than we expected. The ground had lots of ice under the new falling snow. I think we all fell at least once. I feel once and had no time to even put my hands down to catch myself. I landed flat on my shoulders and head. Needless to say I didn't get up too quickly, but I feel fine now. Chris fell a few more times than I did and is now nursing a sore knee and elbow. It was so slippery and we have such a mountain to climb that we had to take the 6 wheeler. That was having great difficulty climbing the hill. We hit 2 trees, not hard, but none the less I wound up with a huge black and blue on my thigh. It snowed so hard that I didn't even try to take pictures as I didn't want to ruin my digital camera. The moral of my story is to be careful what you wish for because it could come true. I one day we have more snow than we have had all winter. No serious injuries and we are all laughing about our falls now. Chris even got launched off the front of the 6 wheeler when we hit one of the trees (he did not get hurt). I haven't seen my Dad laugh that hard in years. After spending the day on the mountain I got to take a quick shower and head to work. Since it was snowing so hard we weren't super busy, but busier than I expected. I am pretty much exhausted now so I'm heading for bed. I just had to check on my DDA family.

Deb

What a day! I hope that today doesn't bring more soreness for everyone and that you got some good rest.

Well since the last two days seemed to be full of sickies, I hope everyone is feeling better soon! Terra and I seem to have dodged the bullet. As soon as we left St. Louis last weekend about half of my family ended up with the whole throwing up thing going around.

We spent yesterday in the Magic Kingdom with the Incredibles at Disney on Ice. I think this is my favorite of all the shows I have seen in the last few years. It was nicely done and I loved all of the MK ride scenes. Terra was so excited every time a new ride would start and she's recognize the music. She was also so proud of her self for helping the Incredibles save the day with her wrist band. After the show we finally had her "official" brithday lunch at Chili's. Since Phil and I had lunch at Chili's the day she was born, we have been going every year for her birthday. We had a great time, though I was sad that Phil ended up not coming to meet us for lunch after all. I had been excited when he had said he wanted to come with us.

Phil could sure use some prayers and pixie dust if there is some to spare out there. For the last week or so, he has been bordering on depression for the first time in over a year. And poor Terra just can't understand why Daddy wants to sleep more and doesn't have the heart to play sometimes. He has a doctors appointment in a few weeks so hopefully things will either improve by then or he'll get some help from her. Thanks all.

Okay, okay. So that Amy doesn't start stalking me, I had better get these pictures up. :teeth:

Here are the pictures from our quick trip two weeks ago. Was it that recently? I'm already ready to go back again!

My pictures are mostly just character pics this time since I didn't want to take my laptop to dump the cards this time. I figured that since I just took all of the parade/ride pics a few months ago, retakes could wait until October. In all, we had such a great time! We hit all of the parks for at least a half day, did a little walking around DTD and saw all of the nighttime shows in our 2 nights, 2 half days and 1 full day. Of course, I'd love to be there longer, but I'll take a short trip like that whenever I can get it.

ETA - And their even chronological this time! ;)

Hey. I don't know who has a Kaufmann's around, but I was at the one in Columbus yesterday and found Crocs for $14.99! They had about 30 pair on a table, and regardless of what style (ranging from $35-$55 usually) they were all the same price!

I don't know if they are all doing this, as we don't really have any around here to check... but it's worth a visit, or at least a phone call! I LIVE in mine at the hospital especially, so I picked up 4 pair (only 3 for me :rotfl: ).

Hope someone else can find some if you're looking!

ETA: at least there, they had Caymans, Highlands, Metros and Aspens in a few different colors, sizes 6-11 and medium-large

I was looking at some crocs in the FL mall last trip but they didn't have them in my size... I've read so many good things about them on the boards... I just can't see how they can be comfy though as they're soo wide! How do you keep them on your feet??

Maybe I'll get a pair this trip...

We were at IKEA last week and DH said - hey look there's a girl wearing those DIsney shoes... yup they were crocs! :rotfl:

Great Pictures. It must have been cool when you were there. I was surprised to see Jasmine wearing a cloak. I love the picture of Terra with Piglet. Too cute.

Love these pics TIA - especially the very last one - you should put that in your sig :goodvibes

Thanks, Clare! I was so happy that pic turned out well. The one from Dec was SO cute and I just didn't get my order placed before my time ran out. The one is similar and I really like it (though it's not quite as cute as last time).

Cool is an understatement. Even being from Boston I'd call it cold! :cold: It was probably about 35, maybe 40, while waiting for Wishes one night. Every store in MK was sold out of gloves and warmer hats weren't far behind. The day we arrived it was in the 60s and wonderful. That night it dropped fast and was highs of 45-50 with overnight lows around 30. It was odd seeing so many plants around areas like the Poly covered in burlap to protect them from teh overnight temps. It wasn't too bad during the day as it was bright and sunny, but the winds were also pretty strong and constant and they were also very chilly winds. Terra and I were comfortable during the days in our jackets and survived the evenings that way since we're both warm natured, but there were plenty of people wearing heavy coats and wrapped in blankets.

Wow for a whirlwind trip, you guys did & saw alot. That's cool. The pictures are great. Looks like you both had a good time.

I really enjoy going with my DH, DD17, & DD20 but I'm looking forward to 10 years from now when maybe I'll have some little ones (grandchildren) along. The excitement from the kids is wonderful to watch when we are there. It is one of my favorite things.

When I first got mine, the didn't feel that great...but after a couple of days the really broke in well. I have been wearing them nonstop for the last 2 months. Now I am so used to them, that when I put regular shoes on they feel tight!

The reall do stay on...Bill thinks they look ugly...which I guess they pretty much do!

8 teenagers are coming to my house today to play poker...doesn't that sound just awful!

I haven't edited yet. I am waiting until I get a new computer, and I haven't bought any software yet. I don't know what I will use, but it has to be something easy!

We saw that a few months ago. I thought it was great too. I liked it better than the Princesses on Ice. Here's some pixiedust: for Phil.

Seriously Kate - that is one of the funniest things I've heard a kid say. You should send it to a magazine and make some money for Disney!!!!

Well, we were at Mass today and Nicholas was being real mopey in the pew, not kneeling/standing when he was supposed to. I put my hand on the back of his neck to whisper in his ear, and I felt it........FEVER. That explained his behavior. So we came straight home instead of him staying for Sunday School. I knew he wasn't feeling good because he wasn't irritating his sister in the van. When we got home I took his temp and it was 101.5. He took some Motrin and laid in bed for awhile. Evidently it is working because he is bouncing around like usual. His appetite is still good and no other symptoms, except he did complain about a sore throat when he got up this morning. I hope this passes quickly without getting worse.
